BTW just an FYI for faction on the sheet it's Republic or Unaligned, though if you list a House I will just assume that is Republic.

Regarding the Talent Heightened Awareness:
Do you count as your own Ally for the purposes of benefitting from the Talent yourself?Allies within close range of the character add a Bonus Die to their Perception and Vigilance checks. Allies engaged with him add two Bonus Dice instead.

it says no personal armor is allowed on the festival grounds, what is the distinction of armor vs clothing? Namely i'm curious about the custom tailored armor jacket. it provides 2 soak but it seems to be socially acceptable as it adds an advantage to social checks

That stuff seems fine, walking around in full composite armor probably not. But again it's a festival, so unless your character is super paranoid it's like going to Disneyland with a bullet proof vest.

Query about Mentor bonuses--although the rules subforum still says this applies only during the course of a game, previous games have allowed it 1x in character creation also (or instead). What about between games (for characters making encore appearances)?
Basically, it seems like the rule as stated is a bit out of date, having been carried forward without revision since Nar Shaddaa. Would not mind having it clarified as to what is/isn't allowed this time. Thanks!

Some other Star Wars games have started using these modding rules here:

Short version, it makes it so the GM doesn't have to be consulted in every modding roll, and it lets you retry failed rolls, which leads to people trying more rolls on their own instead of hounding whatever PC has the highest mechanics.
What do you think? Would you want to use them here, too? They're pretty neat!

For those who belong to one they can stay at their respective houses and commute it's not a long trip with modern transport. But they can stay at the Palace as well.
So your choice.

So not sure if this would be allowed, but if I were to have a Muun sidekick, could they spend the credits they get from deep pockets to buy more equipment?
Also since the only thing that is mentioned about House Serrus is that some mediator met with them, are we calling them a major house or minor?
