Alderaan - Love and Intrigue

It looks like Galen's hunt for the kath hound will be a bigger task than he anticipated, so he'll be looking for others interested in helping out.

What he knows....

Supposedly out in the hinterlands dangerously close to Killik controlled regions is a mighty kath hound that locals are calling Black Tooth, it leads a vicious pack and it seems to have no qualms taking on patrols and winning of unprepared soldiers and guards. Eight deaths over the last five months have been attributed to this creature.

Galen tracked it into the killik hivelands and asked them if its lair was there or if it passed through their territory..

"The Hive knows of this, the great hunter, the apex, even our own simply steer it away from our clutch nests,"

"It merely passes through, the Hive believes it's lair is in the deep sands."

Then, he did some research at the museum.

Galen can pinpoint the best place for a lair and by cross referencing data knows that the site used to be a chemical processing facility for hyperfuel but long since abandoned and relocated to Delaya. There are unsubstantiated unsecure data that the Empire may have used the site as a staging ground during the war.

Since it has attacked patrols, Kat is interested in tagging along to help make things safer for the people.

Especially since we are already collaborating on the semi-related bug thing, Galen could definitely call on Tethys for this (and she's a very solid lightsaber combatant). Maybe a good chance to demonstrate to the Killik hives who've been bothered by the hounds that people don't have to join the hive brain to help one another? (Okay, that seems like a long shot, but still.)

However, if there's a ton of other people pulling at your sleeve wanting to come, I'd also yield to somebody who wants it more. Tethys doesn't have to always be at the middle of things. ^_^;;

This is straight up Blai's alley, I'd say. I'd like to join if possible - although Blai will probably not want to KILL the creatures...

Also - I don't think I've heard anything about it IC! Granted, I've been way less present than I should

We haven't met yet, and we should!

But, I meant more in passing. Galen's talked about it with a few people already and will be asking a few others about finding transport and other interested parties, as well as cleansing the area of any environmental hazards.

He'd also prefer not to kill any hounds, if its avoidable. But, he will if other solutions don't seem possible.

Mmmh a lot of interested parties for sure.

I am willing to help as said in the museum. Maybe we can build a trap?

I have a couple of electro-snares from the ill fated Nal Hutta acklay hunt. They may need a little tinkering.

If it can be spun as 'protecting the Republic's interests' then Veeone can be used.

I believe the Kath lair can be classified as a bunker.

And a bunker specialist might be needed.
