[Day 5 - MN] The Moonlight Rave

Breela heard about the Rave that was set to happen and arrived as soon as she was able. Then, as was her want, she found the closest barstool and ordered a beer. "Geez what a day! Whatever's on tap, thanks!"

The noble was doing well enough nose might heal a bit weird but he'd live.

Omandri saw the party around the Prince growing and decided that was a bit too much at the moment. He saw a familiar feline hanging out by the bar and walked up to Breela. "Well hey there gorgeous. Didn't think good little jedi stayed up this late." He said with a teasing grin as he leaned against the bar.

“I’ve known the Thul for all of six days… Not the most likable bunch. Everyone seems to have an axe to grind with them. But they aren’t the threat here…” She shrugged.

She then nodded to Garth, “I’m glad to have whatever help we can.”

Garth just raised his drink in Delmi's direction. "Once a soldier, always a soldier, Major."

“I’ve known the Thul for all of six days… Not the most likable bunch. Everyone seems to have an axe to grind with them. But they aren’t the threat here…” She shrugged.

She then nodded to Garth, “I’m glad to have whatever help we can.”

"No, they're not. Everyone's got a good reason, myself included. If they aren't the problem, then they aren't, but.. this is all a little suspicious isn't it? If your enemy is using misinformation, why do you hide the truth? Doesn't that just make it easier for your enemy to win?" she asks, there's a slight furrow to her brow as she does, a thinking approach.

Garth glances toward the Prince, not understanding. "Ain't the Thul allies of th' Panteer's?" He asks in genuine confusion.

"If they're as bad 's everyone says, then wha's up wi' that?"

Delmi sighed internally. Thirsty girls trying to impress the Prince were not her favorite to deal with.

“There’s a time, place, and setting for these things to be done. People are working at getting it right… Those people require time and space to operate efficiently. Not giving them that can jeopardize their work and very lives. Sorry to have to say that a rave with dozens of people around isn’t really the best spot to be sharing intel about how that is progressing.”

She shrugged towards Garth, “There’s a lot of misinformation flying around… It’s easy to get mixed up. The truth is still in the process of getting its pants on to respond to it. Problems arise if people make rash judgments before the truth becomes clear… That’s all the people in the intelligence community ask for. Time to let people know what’s actually going on before they start a war over fake information.”

He makes a move to emerge from the tub, for as brief and pleasant as the warm water was, Delmi was right. The party vibe wasn't right at the moment, not in light of these revelations, at least not for Garth.

"I just want to know more, so.. I know what might be going on, mm?" she suggests with a brief smile. "So far.. you've only shared information that pushes the problem away from you. Don't think it's too much of a stretch to suggest offering a little more to help back that up would help everyone be a little more trusting? Not asking for a whole lot, and seeing as you and him are friends," she glances from Delmi over toward Garth, but only finds him leaving the pool, "we're all friends here aren't we?" she asks with a raise to her brow.

Garth gives Riss a broad smile. "Friends is good, Miss Riss." He agrees as he wanders around the edge of the pool, not departing, but trying to be a fraction more professional. "An' sounds like help is jus' what Major Koor's lookin fer. Ah'm just used t' followin orders an' doin what ah'm told, old habits 're a little hard t' break."

"Th' Major ain't mah direct CO, but last ah checked she still outranked lowly Ensigns. So ah guess mah level of needed intel is a bar lower 'n yours."

She patted Garth on the shoulder, “I’m much more interested in a good time tonight than all this talk of espionage… I get enough of that the rest of my day.”

She then turned to Riss and smiled, “I’m sorry. But we’re not ‘friends’. I don’t know any of you well enough to call you my friends. Pretending to be that when it just ain’t true is dishonest at best and creepy manipulative at worst.”

She shrugged, “If you or Joran are that concerned you can put in a request for a briefing from the SIS. I’m not really the type to break confidence with the people I bleed with everyday because a girl trying to cast shade on someone she thinks is ‘competition’ asks me to. You can trust me or not… doesn’t affect one thing about the truth. Joran asked me what is up with all the stuff about me and I gave the most truthful answer I can… You can take it or leave it.”

She stood up to her full height and took a drink, “I for one… want to just blow off some steam before hitting the sack. Parties are meant to be parties.”

[Riss]

Riss smiles, less actually mirthful and more just incredulous, free hand raising our of the water and revealing a palm, "If you think I need to put someone down to show off? You're mistaken. None of this is a competition. And it ain't actually the point of any of this. I just know you've been going around accusing some good people about some kriffed up things when you look pretty shady yourself. But- part of me wanted to figure out things from your side first," she shrugs, laying her hand down back into the water. "Guess that wasn't in the cards."

"Everyone here is friends with someone here, all I meant by it. Sorry you found offense," she offers with a sigh.

Her heart fluttered as she met his eyes with a grin, "You oughta know by now I'm anything but a 'good' little Jedi. Maybe it's because you bring out the bad in me." She pulled him down into a kiss, "I think you're owed a dance or two from me." She purred.

“You keep pushing where I said I can’t go… What did you expect? Not everyone likes the ‘people pleaser’ schmoozy approach. Sorry to burst your bubble.” She shrugged.

“If you have ‘friends’ at the other end of what I’m looking at… I’d be careful around them if I were you. Not everyone you meet with a disarming smile and rugged old-man good looks can be trusted.” She replied.

“Now unless you’d like to ask me to share classified information in public again, I think I’ll go have some fun.”

She nodded to Joran, “Sorry to wreck the vibe.”

She then moved away into the party…

As Delmi turned to leave, Garth reached out to a nearby partygoer, raised a finger to his lips in a request for silence and commandeered the man's Czerka Ultra Soaker hydro gun.

He unleashed a withering hail of water droplets at Delmi, hitting his mark, but not offloading the weapon in time before he was spotted.

Garth is dropped to one knee by the barrage of soapy firepower, glancing to the hot tub he hopes for reinforcement. "Imperial scum," he calls out at Delmi as the game continues. "You are no match for the might of the ADF!"

He falls 'dead' to the floor, his gun skittering towards Riss and Joran...

Gil sipped on his club soda that a polite waitress had delivered to him as he watched the party going on. At least no one had started making out in public yet...

Maybe the queens guard would like to wager on that happening?

Jocasta was running late to the rave. She was usually an early to bed, early to rise, or stay awake for days on high alert type of gal, and she didn't plan on getting into the latter sleeping pattern right now, so she had taken a short nap.

When she walked into the bar, she thought she might still be asleep in her suite, because this surely had to be a dream. Major Koor and the Ulgo fly boy were having a duel with hydro guns.

As Garth went down for the count, Jocasta picked up a nearby hydro guns... For her own safety.
