Drinking Games, Redux [D6, EN]

[Riss]

Tonight they were on a mission. A mission to gain the answers that they just yesterday morning declared their desire. And what better way to go about getting to know when another than adding in booze and turning it into a game? Probably a lot of better ways considering the 0/1 score Riss had concerning them but this time, this time she was sure it would work out. Big drinking games got messy but this time it would just be the three of them, and much simpler rules.

Parting ways at the door, Riss moved off to claim the group a table nearish the pool where they could enjoy the open air. While Cynella was asked to break off and do her best in selecting out the wine they'd be using for the nights game. Waiting for Joran to arrive, and Cynella to return to her, Riss, dressed in a nice fitting dress for the night, found her head resting once more in her palm as she looked out over the faceless crowd of Bar Shaddaa.

When the topic of wine came to be, she considered using Aurilie's bottle. But besides it resting back in her chambers, that didn't seem fair to use in a somewhat-wooing attempt of the other Prince. Ah, but my head is out of the game still, isn't it?

She selected a bottle she recognized, a Tekshar Malbec, a strong-flavored red wine made from the eponymous grapes. Perhaps it wasn't actually suitable for a drinking game but it wasn't like she played too many of those.

Like the time before, she wore her signature jacket instead of dressing up like Riss. A tactical move to garner the other woman more attention. "Is this the only bar here on the planet?" she asked. "Seems like we keep coming back, at least."

[Riss]

"It's the closest one.. and I like the smell of the water in the air. It's.. nice, reminds me of summer days when I'd leave my room window open," she says with a light laugh, leaning back into her seat. Reaching out for the bottle so she could take a look at it and make her own appraisal on the choice. Giving her some time, "Always seem to see that jacket anytime I start to hope I might get to see you in another pretty dress," she comments idly as she turns the bottle over, not moving her eyes from it.

[Cynella Andrim]

"Nostalgia is a good reason. Plus there is the convenience factor," Cynella admitted as Riss looked over her choice. "Though I wonder if it's closest for you. Have you since been staying in the hall, same as I, now that you've been an official guest at that dance?"

She shrugged, fluffing out her jacket. "Speaking of, I was wearing a dress there, you know."

Joran was present, listening to the ladies speak.

[Riss]

"I.. haven't actually asked," she says, turning over the bottle once more before setting it down again. Pushing it aside, waving to someone and pointing at it to get the thing opened should it not be. "But I do always love seeing you in more pretty dresses," she says with a light laugh. Settling in she takes a glance toward Joran whom joined them in the interim as it were.

"So.. drinking games again," she smiles, glancing between the two of them. "What we've got for tonight is a simple game of questions. You ask a question and the other person has to answer or take a drink. Easy, simple. Don't ask the same question twice, and try to have fun, mm?" she says, that easy smile as she confirms understanding with a glance to both of them.

[Cynella Andrim]

"Dresses will make a comeback, don't worry," she said with a wink. "I wouldn't want to leave either of you wanting, after all."

She pursed her lips. "That's easy enough. I'm waiting for the catch."

[Riss]

"Just make the questions interesting, fun," she says with a slight smirk. Playing her fingertips across the edge of the table, "I have.. a whole lot planned," she chuckles with a slight mischievous tone.

“I am not sure how fun it will be, but I am game, go ahead and start and I reserve the right to pass, call it a royal prerogative,” he said to the ladies.

[Riss]

Riss takes the bottle, finds the glass, and pours some into her own. It's a healthy serving, "Alright. I'll ask first," she says, rather than wait for the game she takes a drink and just savors the flavor for a moment. Closing her eyes as she does. A second, two, and then she opens her eyes again and leans forward. Both elbows on the table she rests her head atop the back of her hands, one crossed over the other.

"Joran, do you want to be here or do you feel obligated to be here?" she asks, pointedly.

"I don't mind hanging out with you ladies, if that is what you are asking?" he responded.

[Riss]

Riss glances to Cynella, one last piece atop the pile. Looking back to Joran, "We're interested.. curious, and want to know more about you.. but if you're not completely into this? If there's somewhere you would rather be, or be doing right now?" she leans back, "Cynella can answer for herself but I'd rather you be there, wherever it is."

Tilting her head a bit, "I'll.. just go focus on drinking until the thinking stops," she chuckles awkwardly. This time the focus of her look rests on Cynella.

“It’s not that just a great many things going on, but do go on. I apologize if you got that impression, some nights I am just relaxed and between us, it gets a little exhausting to do meet and greets. Nothing against you, you are both wonderful,” he said in response.

“Maybe less questions and just simple talking is fine with me. Like what about you two, what brought you both out here, how long have you known each other?”

[Riss]

"Lotta things going on and.. very little trust," she agrees on the point, giving the slight nod toward Joran accepting the explanation. A soft sigh, she looks down a few seconds and back up, "Can't trust everything you hear nowadays.. not even things you are given in confidence, mm? Gotta be as careful as you can about the things you do," she offers as warning before rising up in her seat again, regaining her statures.

Putting on a brighter smile as she looks to Cynella, "I came here for fun, only found trouble, but I think Cynella would be the best one to tell our very brief but wonderful story?" she looks to the woman with a bright smile. Covering for the warning, bringing her glass up and taking a long sip.

Joran turned to Cynella and said, "Guess Riss put you in the hot seat."

[Cynella Andrim]

Cynella rested her cheek on her palm and sighed wistfully. "Gosh, that's what you lead with? You really do want to put both of us under the spotlight, don't you, Riss?" She smirked. "I suppose it'd be a little ridiculous to drink instead of indulging you in the story though."

She sat up and glanced at the ceiling. "I believe it was at similar festivities back on Kuat. Riss must have been shopping for starship parts or repairs or otherwise on one of her many adventures. She stuck out to me because she was precisely not a local and yet very popular." She shrugged in an exaggerated fashion. "Rumors are a valuable currency on Kuat that exchanges many hands."

"So long time friends, and that is what kept you two together?" he asked.

[Cynella Andrim]

"That and the convenient factor of my parents taking a liking to her. She's good with them, apparently," Cynella said, sending a wink over to Riss. "We came to this planet together, actually. She's reliable, in a way, as long as she's in the mood for it.

"Part of why I asked her to help me when we first met. She talked me up right when I was getting grilled by somebody else."

[Riss]

"Which- all hands on the table now," she chuckles, shaking her head a little. "Isn't as surprising I was good with them, mm? Random vagabond being good with rich fancy parents isn't so much a surprise anymore, considering I had a set of my own" she adds another light laugh. Taking a drink of her wine, sitting with it a moment.

"I like your dad most though, he's got that.. weird old dad charm," she smiles briefly, looking to Cynella. Shifting gaze back to Joran, "But- then yea, I wanted to see how home was doing and she needed someone to bring her here. Course.. all I said at the time was that I wanted to have some fun here during the festival. Which was true, just not the complete truth, mm?"

"What is weird old dad charm?" Joran asked with gentle confusion.
