[Day 8 - Mid Evening] Reunion

[Aurilie Alde]

Aurilie laughed in good humour at the prospect of being a political power couple. While she was not something she would envision of herself for soon, Cynella did make the prospect rather appealing. Maybe she was just wholly convinced by her wink.

She smiled softly and placed her fingers on Rhia's chin to get a better look at her, as well as have her focus on her to see her sincerity. "I would never, Lady Rhia. I suppose this is me just coming to terms with this pleasant development. I am very much happy and I suppose your enthusiasm is only helping with that. And I do very much look forward to meeting your family, as well as meeting mine. Naturally, it would probably do well to have some primer and collaborate together."

Her expression turned cool, adopting her resting royal face. "Serious shouldn't be an issue."

She raised her brows at the mention of her siblings. "Oh, yes. One of them favours these...light novels, I recall? As it turns out, I should really do my research into them after all."

Cynella didn't even think to look away when Aurilie lifted her chin. Her demeanor slowly returned to the slightly haughty, playful demeanor that was her forte. "Oh, so next time I give you good news, I should expect such a reaction? Duly noted, darling!"

She pursed her lips. "Ah, well, Father doesn't like it when a lady is too stuck up either. Though, since you're the Prince of Joral, perhaps he won't mind so much."

Those damn visual novels. "No, no, you really don't have to do that. You'll probably get along better with my brothers anyhow. Neither of them have hunted to the same extent that you have but they fancy the idea."

"Hmm." Aurilie at the mention of her father thoughtfully. "I suppose I might be able to manage things like how I manage my parents. Of course, I'd rather come to some agreement and goodwill than just mere tolerance. It wouldn't do if I was seen as anything as insufferable if I am to become his daughter-in-law."

"Well, they did have my curiosity at first in our first conversation. I don't think I'll go head over heels for them." She smiled in reassurance at Cynella. "Ah, then I'll just have to regale them with my tales of adventuring and hunting, rather than take them anywhere. Well, some fowl hunting wouldn't be so bad as an activity. Safe and should be plenty of opportunities for everyone to show off."

She found herself glancing off for a moment, wondering if she should be saying something about her siblings. Her opinions aren't great, so to say the least. "My parents are perhaps a whole can of worms that we'll have to go through over a high tea session. Allister is an officer serving the Republic, which I'm sure he'll do his best to remind you at every turn. His superior officers seem to have done a very good job of awarding him a prestigious medal for every parade he led. As for Wren, I suppose you'll find that she's very well-travelled in many regards, perhaps found herself at the best clubs to attend after every political caucus. Sometimes during."

[Cynella Andrim]

"Yes, I suppose mere tolerance just wouldn't do," Cynella said with a slight smirk. "I hope this is only the start of great relations between our two Houses, after all." She tilted her head. "I do wonder how my parents will get along with yours. Ah, well, that's a problem for another day, isn't it?"

She shook her head with a faint sigh. "If you do look them up, perhaps you shouldn't speak of them with her. She can be a little eccentric over them." Perhaps like Cynella and her love for small, fuzzy animals. But that love was much more rational. "Fowl hunting sounds perfect. Again, I don't think they'd nearly match you in marksmanship. Markswomanship? Is that a word? Hm..."

For her part, Cynella didn't seem too phased by those descriptions. "Military background and political circles, those sound like a well-versed background. Perhaps I'll be able to ask them both about this soon."

Her eyes went down to her torn ballgown. "Perhaps we should get cleaned up after, well, all this."

"Well, even without having had the pleasure of their acquaintance yet, I'm very confident that we can come to an amicable relationship at the very least. As I've mentioned before, House Alde is rather known for being the first broker of diplomacy on Alderaan and something that holds true to this day. If they are anything remotely like you, we'll get along." She smirked proudly and added a wink for effect.

"Oh, yes, it should be," she nodded confidently at the word, even if she wasn't entirely sure herself. It would be a word now.

She bent down to retrieve the bundle of swords. "Yes, we do, admittedly...Please allow me to escort you back to your accommodations. I think we've earned our rest after the day's excitement. I don't think anyone will dare attempt to cross you but it would put me at ease to know that you're safe at least."

That said, she might be too giddy about the developments to fully sleep tonight.

"Ah, well, I imagine that brokers of diplomacy, as you put it, will do rather well with my business-minded parents." And they surely loved money, just as Cynella loved seeing her wink becoming infectious.

"And I'd be happy to have you with me. If anything, two is better than one when it comes to safety, yes?" She'd later venture out by herself anyways but hopefully Aurilie wouldn't mind too much.

Aurilie didn't mind at all when their evening together came to a close when they parted ways, especially when they would be seeing each other soon.
