Family Things [Day 2, MA]

[Riss]

"I- I know that.." she says, pulling her arms back up to cross her chest tightly again. "I.. I know most of that just. I'm not proud of it but, it's why I didn't come home sooner," she shook her head, that was a lie even to herself. She wouldn't have come home any earlier anyway. "I don't.. I don't know who's gone and who's not. I just.. Hir? She was always.. is still? Mom? Dad? Neas was always a bit of a golden child for dad, big and strong," she chuckles, it's awkward and tinged with the sound of that heavy heart. "He.. maybe? Meiss at least, right? Our adorable little sister?" she asks, that hopeful rise to her voice.

[Dapper Dog]

"Mom... dad... dead, mom during the exodus and dad from natural causes; Neas is at university or something; the rest not sure, I don't make it a point to keep up with family, usually."

"And when I do, I lose a bloody finger," he said slipping into his Alderaanian accent.

[Riss]

Riss was dim for a moment, but at the rise of the accent and call back to the finger she lights up a bit more. Arms coming down, more loose and open, "Hey, I came back too. You just happened to get here first.. it coulda been me losing the finger, ya know. Imagine if you didn't come? Woulda lost more than a finger.." she shudders a bit at the thought.

[Dapper Dog]

"Probably would have sucked, for you," he said.

[Riss]

"Look, I feel bad about your finger.. a little, I promise. We'll.. figure it out after we get the noose off our necks, okay? I'll make it up to you somehow, promise," she says, extending a pinky for a pinky swear.

[Dapper Dog]

He reluctantly agreed.

[Riss]

"Love you.." she said, it sounded weird. Even Riss took a moment to sit with the fact she'd said it, feeling it out. Shaking out the feeling from it she just looks to him a moment, "I- I'm gonna go now. You just.. don't get yourself killed or something," she says, and then takes a step toward the nearest way to leave the hedge.
