Family Things [Day 2, MA]

[Riss]

This was a place for lovers with trysts in the middle of the night. With such a reputation about it, that gave Riss a little bit of comfort knowing it was probably the most private public place she could find that wouldn't force them onto her ship, which she knew smelled, or her brothers ship, which she knew would smell even worse. So, they were here among the hedge walking through the beautiful things of a House that far surpassed their own since probably forever.

"So.. how's the finger?" she asks, voice rising into the question as she originally holds off and hesitates on asking a little.

[Dapper Dog]

"Still missing," Bo responded.

"We have a plan yet, because I am still partial to Makeb vacation."

[Riss]

"Prince option.. might be on the table but five days?" she furrows her brow, shrugging as they walk along through the hedges. Arms crossed over her chest.

"Kriff me.. four days now. I'm good but," she shakes her head. Looking to Bo, "Thinking, maybe meet with the guy you know just to see what he's about that uh.." she waves her hand about, forgetting the name, " whatever his face is. Push comes to shove it's a way out without," she brings a hand up to her neck and drags a finger across it.

[Dapper Dog]

"Thought Captain Jedi said it was a bad idea," he said mockingly.

[Riss]

"Well, she thinks almost everything I do is a bad idea. So.." she glances at one of the walls, traces it looking for a flower. A soft sigh, "It's a whole lot better than dying.."

Reinvigorating her voice a bit, "At least, if nothing else works out. She said last resort still, right? Just.. let's get the foot in the door there so we have somewhere to run. Makeb alone.. I don't think just running is gonna help us all too much. Maybe there's something to this Organa thing she suggested but.." she waves a hand around, "I dunno."

[Dapper Dog]

“About that… so she thought it was a bad idea, but I thought it was a god idea. And well one thing led to another and I got something that could help us, if we don’t mind using our Organa connections,” he offered.

[Riss]

"Well what're you letting me stand around here considering the last resort for," she says, voice rising into sudden excitement as she puts her fist lightly against his shoulder. More pushing him with her fist rather than hitting him at all.

"Spill," she says, half chuckling.

[Dapper Dog]

“We steal some Organa ledgers, we can go to the source House Organa or I hear that House Rist has some juicy secrets too, we turn it over to the Cunning Man and the good guy that he or she is will cover our debt. All we have to do is get our hands on this Organa Ledger thingy,” Bo responded.

“Easy-peasy, sour jung fruit squeezy.”

[Riss]

"That's it? Some stupid ledgers? Kriff me that's.. that sounds like a pretty good option there little bro," she chuckles, bringing the fist up again and placing it against his shoulder. A warm chuckle. "Look at you, being useful. I'm so proud," she brings the same hand up to wipe a dry spot under her eye, "it almost brings a year to the eye, ya know?" there's a little sound to her voice like she's mock crying.

A brief laugh, shaking her head, "I talk my way into someone's office and.. just get the ledger. Rist or Organa, any idea who might have what we're looking for?"

[Dapper Dog]

"Rist are murder people right, Organa seems nicer?" he offered.

[Riss]

"I meant like.." she pauses a moment to let the moment settle, shaking her head. "I meant who in Rist and who in Organa might have what we're looking for? Doubt I'll just.. wall in there and find something good. Probably talk my way into someone's good graces, get them distracted, take the ledger.. or whatever," she brushes her hand along through the air flippantly.

"Rist I'd feel better about screwing over.. Organa I'd sleep easier not waiting for the knife in my back," she half-chuckles with that awkward tinge to it.

"Unless you got yourself a different idea on how to do what we need to do?"

[Dapper Dog]

"I know a target in Rist, Bryson Rist, he is a middle management type I think but nobility and access to what we need. Married, but not like that won't stop you if we try to honeypot him," he offered.

"Organa I don't know but I am sure we can wing it. Assuming you are as good as I am."

[Riss]

"As good as you are?" she laughs, an incredulous look as she raises her brow a bit. A smug looking grin rising onto her expression, "Kid, I'm better than you by leagues. Watch me work and you'll be put to shame.. which... might be weird to gloat about, but kriff it. I'm here for this idea. Organa we can test the water with maybe but.. I like having this target. Not thrilled with the idea of maybe ruining some guys marriage but," she shrugs. "Wouldn't be my fault. His life to ruin if he's gonna ruin it."

"I'll check in with this Bryson.. and you check out Organa more? See what you can dig up?" she suggests, a raise to her brow.

[Dapper Dog]

"Sounds like got a plan," he responded.

[Riss]

"Good, then let's get to it," she says and starts walking away before she stops dead in her tracks. Hesitating her hand comes up as if on a thought and then turns back to Bo. A furrowed brow there's confusion written in the despondence she wears. Arms crossing tightly over her chest, "I.. never asked. I meant to. Wanted to. I should," she shakes her head, glancing down.

"I wasn't here when.. uh, when it happened.. mom, dad.. everyone, they uh..." she struggles through the question a little. Inhaling deeply, exhaling just the same, "Do you know anything? Who's around.. who's not?"

[Dapper Dog]

"No... we are not having that conversation right now," he said raising his hands.

[Riss]

A flash of tension she steps forward, foot coming down a little hard, "Bo," she says, her voice tending toward anger at first but her sharp glare dims quickly. Flash of tension dissipating, she glances down again. Suddenly softer, more distant, defeated, "Right.. okay," she says, and inhales again. Blowing the air out nice and slow.

"Kriff it.." she looks to him, holds a moment, and then walks off.

[Dapper Dog]

"Really you want to talk about how things went to poodoo right here?" he said to her as she left.

[Riss]

Riss slows, and then stops at the additional words. One arm down the other crossing over her chest and holding the opposite bicep. Not turning around right away she starts, "I.. guess?" she says, and there's the rise and fall of a sigh seen from her back. Looking back over her shoulder she looks to him, and then down, "What's it matter where we talk about it?" she says, eyes shifting but just more away.

"Never exactly been someone who was all too good at waiting for the right time or place for things," she chuckles but it's tinted with that reservation she'd gained. Adding on in that same semi-humored tone, "Always more of a right here and now kinda gal, it usually works out for me. Well.. at first," she shakes her head a little.

[Dapper Dog]

"Fine, Thul blew up our stuff, took our land and murdered most of the family. Chased us off world and then we had to exist in the margins. Good times."

"And we lived happily ever after."
