"That's... I... you..."

Tethys clears her throat.

"Whatever you're picturing, it's not me."

Another awkward pause.

"I'm sure your books are very, um, captivating. To your readers. But it sounds like your imagination is more than equal to any details you, ah, need. Without me."

"Oh I don't use direct names... that would be, not good?" he said.

"But you already inspire me... the rigid unyielding Jedi, the rogue captain... the dashing heroic Jedi Knight... oh yes the story is coming together. Now we just need an antagonist or a love triangle? Love pentagon?" he asked.

As Jerri continues explaining his ideas, they don't grow any less improbable, but at least Tethys begins to feel a bit less lost. This might be the most abrupt and unexpected conversational turn of her diplomatic career to date--from innocent and commonplace questions about the Force to quite specific sexual fantasies in under five minutes. Still, setting the surprise aside, every Jedi has to get used to occasionally encountering people whose romantic vision of the Order or of a particular Jedi is, well, not platonic.

Tethys takes a slow breath, lets it out "I see. In that case... I think all I can do is wish you good luck. I don't have any love polygons or any 'victims' to tell you stories about." Okay, maybe that word choice of his still chafes a little. "You'll write what you want to write. As long as you're not misleading anyone about real people, it's not my concern, I suppose."

Jerri frowned and said, "You are perfect. You and the other one... the other Jedi the Ulgo... my muses.."

"My dancing Jedi maidens."

"Ahem, thank you. May the Force be with you," he said with a crooked grin. "I always wanted to say that! To a Jedi."

"May the Force be with you, too, Mr. Organa," Tethys says a bit dryly. "In whatever form that takes."
