[Day 7, LA] Friendly Visit

[Galen Sol]

Galen led the others down the same game trail he'd followed before from the hunting grounds into the hivelands of Hive Kuvalz'lriz.

"It shouldn't take long for them to find us." he advised the others. Galen's lightsaber hung from his belt and he carried a holstered blaster pistol. The only other weapon he carried was the explorer's knife he used to cut through the brush.

[Baesal Zyn]

The young knight followed not far behind, wearing a more outdoorsy garb with a back pack and a belt full of stuff

''I am really hopeful we can have a better conversation with this hive''

[Count Serenno]

The Count, who joined them, smiled mirthlessly.

"Or any conversation at all."

[Galen Sol]

"At the least, I can tell them the hound has been taken care of." Galen began to slow down as they got closer. "That should be a good conversation starter."

[Dapper Dog]

It’s not long before the killiks and the joiner that Galen met before meet among the high grass. The joiner spoke, “We are a voice for those that cannot hear the song. You intrude on our hive, this place is not for you. We will fight and sing the song of battle if pressed.”

[Galen Sol]

"We will step no further. We would like to talk." Galen said. "First, I wanted to inform the hive that the apex is no longer a threat."

[Dapper Dog]

"One less threat to the hive, why have you come here? We stay far from the lands of your kind. We do not intrude," the Joiner responded.

[Galen Sol]

"We want to understand the hive better." he said. "They have questions."

He turned towards Baesal and Count Serenno.

[Baesal Zyn]

Baesal approached non-threateningly

''Greetings'' she bowed ''I am Baesal Zyn, Knight of the Jedi Order. Does your hive know of us?''

[Dapper Dog]

"This word resonates with the hive, we are not here to answer questions. Be quick the hive has other demands," she responded while the killiks click and and stay alert.

[Baesal Zyn]

''We wish to create a longer lasting peace between the hives and the humans.'' she explained ''But doing so is difficult without the capacity to exchange information, to speak...to partake in social rituals that are meaningful to both killik and humans. The humans know little of the killiks, we seek to learn.''

[Dapper Dog]

"Why? The hive has suffered at the hands of the invaders, so why?" the Joiner responded.

[Baesal Zyn]

''We serve the Force'' stated ''The universal song that echoes in all of us, may it be Jedi, human or killik. We strive for peace and understanding not only with our kin but with all.''

She pauses

''We know there was a time were the Hive and the humans lived in harmony. Perhaps such times can happen again or, at least, have the killiks and humans suffer less.''

[Dapper Dog]

"We have harmony, join the Hive's song, and there is harmony," the Joiner responded.

[Baesal Zyn]

''We do not understand the joining and if we join the humans will still not understand''

How to explain it?

''The song must be preserved, I am sure we agree, but to do so the hive must adapt to the environment as all things do. The humans are part of that environment and peaceful coexistence between the human and the hive need to reach an equilibrium. Communication with words as vessel for ideas might be inferior to the hive mind but they are needed for that end.''

[Dapper Dog]

The Joiner responded, "These humans do not adapt, they destroy what the Hive builds."

[Baesal Zyn]

''Many do not understand but many wishes to but as single notes many are used to improvise our own songs and thus fear the hive's one resonance. Still, many wish to adapt but they must be taught...teach us and we will help teach them.''

[Galen Sol]

"Was there a time when the hives communicated with outsiders without joiners?" Galen asked. "When both peacefully coexisted independently?"

[Dapper Dog]

"Teach? Submit to the Hive, help it grow and be strong. The Hive must grow," the Joiner responded.

"We have survived, but we are not the eldest of Hives. History, humans say this word. It has no meaning. There is only the Hive."

[Baesal Zyn]

She nods to Galen

''Which Hive would remember? Which is the eldest?''
