Alderaan - Love and Intrigue

Baes's truck parked itself outside of the residence of one 'Padma Buk'. She had assumed this had to be an alias of some sort or a decoy...nobody would be this obvious

Still she could get lucky.

She stepped out of her truck and knocked on the door.

The door opens on it's own and inside she can hear music coming from a holorecorder. The interior is rustic but clean with pictures of a human family, two adult women and three children of varying ages under what looks to be 14ish.

That...was ominous

The knight pushed the door open and took the lightshield off her belt, just in case. She closed her eyes and focused on the force to sense if there were life forms in the vincinity

Sense in the house: 2eF 1 Light Side, 1 Dark Side

She can sense one living person in the building.

She focused on that person, well aware that a droid would escape her senses. She reached into the force once more

Where?

She was taking all the precautions she could...she had a sense things might take a dark turn after this morning

They are in what looks like the kitchen the next room over with a door between them.

Baesal approached carefully and opened the kitchen door with care, taking a peek inside

Neither is surprised when the SIS agent busts in the room with blaster drawn. She frowned and said, "Master Jedi, what are you doing here?"

The blaster had been met with a raised lightshield which Baesal retracted when she recognized the agent.

''I am investigating a case of theft and murder, you?''

"An undercover contact went off the reservation, master Jedi," she said lowering her weapon.

''Padma Buck?'' she asked

“Yep, she’s an informant asset I have been using here, but she missed her last two check ins. Let me guess she ran afoul of Jedi business?” she asked.

''You could say that. A shuttle in her name was involved this morning in a case of theft, murder and arson...also possibly kidnapping.''

Baesal reached for one of the photographs and inspected it

''The shuttle could have been stolen, of course, but I figured it would be best to come here to check. Nevertheless it seem we have a common goal at the moment''

"That's an extensive list, what exactly happened?" she asked.

''Mmmh, it's a long story. So this morning I went to the museum to inquire about killiks...''

And so the jedi give a bullet point version of this morning's event to the SIS agent

"Well that's unexpected," the agent responded. "She is gone, either she got a better offer or someone cashed in her policy."

''Are you interested in finding out what happened? If we are to make peace with the killiks I would like to know more about the piece and if somebody has any interest in making thing worst.''
