The speeder truck was going full speed in the direction the ripples came from. R5 was at the wheel while Baesal was looking at a map of the region.
What is happening?!
They were close now, she could sense it.

On the ride there Daz was trying to edit his footage and said, "Everything alright, Master?"

The togruta was breathing rapidly, consistently trying to bring it down.
''Something happened...something horrible...I felt it sometime ago. I still do''
She tried to focus
''Are you not feeling anything?''

"I felt something, it was faint like a billions clicks silenced or something... but I also had spicy poppers," he responded.

The knight was temporarily confused but regained he mental footing fast enough
''I see. Not all have been affected the same way...I might have felt it more strongly...'' She frowned as they arrived well within House Syrush's territory
''...because of my involvement with the killiks.'' she took one last breath ''Something is very wrong''
With that the truck stopped and Baesal opened the side door. She moved fairly fast towards the now near empty hive.

There were some killiks still moving but they seemed lethargic and confused... at least they see outside the hive. The closer they get the more they see the carnage from the frenzy.
Daz replied, "What happened?"

Not knowing what happened Baesal took her lightshield.
''Let's find out...R5...keep an eye on those killiks. If their disposition changes, ping me.''
She nodded and began going deeper into the hive

Breela followed Baesal into the hive. Before entering she had thrown on her battle armor, just in case. "Force preserve us..."

Picking their way through they find... corpses of killiks and some joiners that died violently. Though it looks like most of the Joiners hemorrhaged to death. It's a strange chitin filled crypt.
OOC: Perception or Vigilance at Average.

Blai took a bit longer to arrive, as he'd seen the meeting to its conclusion and stopped by at his room to get ready for what might be some disturbing exploring... but here he was. Glowrod in hand, he made his way - probably on a borrowed riding beast of some sort - following the disturbing sense of suffering that lingered on his mind as he tried to find the others.
OOC:
Wearing exploration gear set. Assuming I could get some sort of riding beast so I don't have to get here on foot? Or a speeder of some sort.

Team Genocide? Team Killik Hive Bros? The group pick their way through the now silent tunnels, though the smell of fresh viscera and killik innards is potent they find an undamaged egg room and a trio of killiks with two joiners and dozens of eggs.
They raise their weapons at the group including the joiners, all human. The killiks snap and click violently at the group.

OOC: Can we talk this out or are they too far gone?

"Whoa, whoa, easy! Hold your fire!" Breela begs, "We're not here to harm, only to understand."

Blai nodded at Sol and extended his senses to Elur and any other animal life in the area, but he still didn't notice things before Galen did.
The she-wolf did seem to notice something ahead, though...
He halts and takes his hand to the wolf's mane. "Oi, Elur... what's the matter?" Then, hearing Breela's voice, he speaks in a lower voice, finally noticing the Kiliks ahead. "Eh... What's... what's happening, folks"
...did these creatures often do something like that? It was a stressful time to try to remember that, but...
did he remember anything of the kind?
OOC:
Can Blai remember this sort of inter-group conflict among the Killiks?
Pasting the Perception rolls here as I'd done them before the answers!

Galen held his empty hands away from his body. "We felt something happen here."

A joiner came forward an older human male with black eyes and spoke in Basic, “We are broken, the sour notes have killed us, only the song of us few can counter it and if we get too close it will overwhelm us. It was brought by the selfish soft ones.”
“Our song is now black and cold. The young will die and we are dead.”

Breela looks at the other three for clarity, "Sour... notes? I don't understand, and are we what you'd call 'Soft Ones'?"
