Delmi arrived at the Rist estate in the early evening after an eventful Huttball game. She'd send a communication ahead of her asking for a meeting with the Duchess. She was surprised to hear that it was accepted so early.
She was shown in to a waiting room where she found a seat and began looking at the aesthetics of the room and estate.
So this is where Xero trained... No wonder they ended up so bright and cheerful.

The duchess entered with an older man in tow, they were in mid conversation when she raised a hand said, "Lady Koor, I'm a busy woman, so just cut to the heart of things."

“Yes ma’am.” She stood at attention. She pulled out a locket with holo pics of two people.
“Would you happen to know this woman?”

"Looks like a Thul woman, she died around the time my sister died," she offered. "Sorry for your loss."
"Yes, looks like it, don't recall the name," the man added.

"I see... I'm trying to figure out what exactly happened to this woman... She was apparently tied with your sister and Galen Rist... Died the same week... But the grave which supposedly held her corpse... was filled with another woman's body." She continued to hold out the locket.
"Anything you can remember would help..."

"Another person was inside?" she said with surprise.

She nodded, "The woman should have had a DNA-signature similar to my own... It did not."

She looked at the man and he nodded and left immediately. The Duchess said, "I did not know her but she knew my sister. What else do we know about this woman, anything?"

“She was my mother. She spent years in a plot to steal Republic military secrets on Anaxes. She was successful in that mission and departed to Imperial space. We believe her to be originally from Alderaan and affiliated with House Thul and the Empire.” She replied.
“There is an individual who works for House Thul who has some familiarity with her. This individual claimed to have been trained by House Rist… and if they were to have shared a similar training with the woman in question, she too could possibly have once been trained among your people.”

“I think I might know who you are talking about, but before my time really. You said that she was an Imperial spy and tied to House Thul, are you saying Houe Thul is working for the Empire? I just thought hey were backing them… if they are allied that changes things,” she said.

“Her connection to the Empire most likely would have been from before the Thul’s expulsion from Alderaan… which I believe was due to their alliance with the Imperials in some part.” She replied.
“I do not know the nature of the current tie between the Thul and the Empire… figuring that out is in part why I’m looking into my mother’s circumstances at all.”

She considered that and then said, “Good luck with that.”
“If you find anything useful let us know, best of luck on your search. I am sure you know the way out.”

Delmi nodded politely. "Thank you for your time."
She stood there for a moment expecting to see the Duchess leave before she had a chance to do so herself.
She wondered whether the woman had been fully forthright or not... but there was no way of telling. If this person was hiding something, at least she had shaken the hornets' nest and something would be sure to happen.
