Timeline of the Great Galactic War
  • Ancient History: The Pre-Republic and perhaps even Sith era is shrouded in mystery though what is known is that a species known as the Rakata a force sensitive race dominated the Galaxy before they declined into nothing. They left many relics including the Star Forge, a powerful Force-Technological device that aided Revan in his war.
  • Great Hyperspace War: A major conflict that embroiled the galaxy in a war between the nascent Republic and the Sith Empire. It was the first real threat by the Sith in galactic Space and although it ended with their defeat it left deep scars across the galaxy and established many of the traditions of the Sith, which they adhere to, to this day. This takes place approximately 5000 BBY (Before the Battle of Yavin).
  • The Rise and Fall of Revan: Approximately three hundred years prior to the Great Galactic War a Jedi rose to prominence and then fell to become the a Sith Lord, Darth Revan. Forged in battle his armies nearly conquered the Republic before he was defeated and then redeemed. He broke the Sith armies and destroyed the Star Forge that fueled his war machine before disappearing into Dark Space. There are many that still see Revan as a hero on both sides of the conflict, though with time his legend has faded.
  • Rise of the Sith Empire: Having been exiled to the far reaches of the Galaxy the Sith that would become the Sith Emperor settled his people on Dromund Kaas, it would eventually become the capital of the Empire. From here the Sith Empire began plotting a revenge for their exile that would take centuries to see to fruition. In this time the Republic had forgotten about the Sith, though the Jedi still remembered. This was a time of relative peace for both major factions.
  • Battle of Korriban: In the year 3681 BBY the Sith Empire roused their warmachine and invaded Republic space, specifically the Tingel Arm region. The surprise strike decimated the Republic forces who were will-prepared for the strike but it was all a feint to draw Republic forces from the true objective, Korriban. Darth Marr took command of the fleets that invaded the Tingel arm to buy time for Imperial forces to seize Korriban led by Darth Malgus and his master, who did not survive the conflict. This victory was so decisive that the Republic was unaware of the loss for several weeks. If not for Master Satele Shan, the Jedi may not have known at all that Korriban was lost, one of the few survivors of the conflict. War had returned to the Galaxy.
  • Unstoppable Offensive: Between the years of 3681 BBY and 3677 BBY the Sith proved relentless in their march towards galactic supremacy. The Republic forces were ill-prepared for the brutality and the effectiveness of the Imperial war machine. Coupled with that was decades of seeding governments with spies and traitors within the Republic and many worlds fell without a single shot. The Senate and the Republic was back pedaling and the Jedi seemed indecisive in their actions.
  • The Jedi March to War: In the year 3677 BBY the Jedi Council met to discuss the progress of the War and their role in it. Grand Master Thurel Sho advised peace and sought diplomatic action but she was undermined by Master Horus Kun, a famed hero he advocated that the time for peace was over. He declared that he would fight for the Republic and many Jedi followed him. With Jedi forces working alongside the battered Republic forces, the tide started to turn. Culminating in the defeat of Darth Yun, a Dark Council member, at the Battle of Heros Prime.
  • Republic Emboldened: The victory at Heros Prime gave the Republic Military and many Republic worlds confidence that the Sith could be stopped. With the Republic war machine fully rolling the Republic Forces were able to turn the blitz into defined battle lines and even hold territory. With more and more Jedi joining the conflict it seemed that things could turn around. By the end of 3676 BBY, there was a tinge of hope.
  • The Dread Masters: The Empire had planned for this and were ready to unleash the Dread Masters, a cadre of Sith who specialized in terror. Together they could break whole fleets by inspiring mind shattering terror in their enemies, they deployed to the lines with the fiercest fighting and quickly turned the tide against the Republic. Over the next three years they would prove nearly unstoppable. By 3673 the Outer Rim was in tatters and fully in the control of the Empire. Then a reprieve came, the Dread Masters and their forces did not move coreward.
  • The Reprieve: It is uncertain why the Dread Masters did not push their assault coreward, some say they were searching for something, others say the Emperor gave them a specific task and victory in war was only tertiary to their mandate. The Dread Masters did not push their lines and the Republic had a moment to strengthen their crumbling defenses. In other theaters the Empire was advancing but it was much slower without the Dread Masters in the field.
  • The Miradian Sacrifice: In 3670 BBY the Republic launched a sneak attack on the world of Miradi, they had intel that the Dread Masters had gathered there. A team of hardened Jedi pierced the inner sanctum and defeated the Dread Masters at great cost, the entire fleet was lost and Jedi Master Horus Kun was lost in the battle. It was a great and terrible day for the Republic, a turning point in the conflict.
  • The Hutts Abstain: In the days following the loss of the Dread Masters the Hutt cartels took stock of the situation in the galaxy ad although not a major player like the Empire or Republic they controlled considerable resources and wealth. The Hutts decided after much internal conflict that neutrality was the best path forward, as there was too much uncertainty in aligning with either side. The Republic was seen as the weaker party but still a worthy ally and the Sith were seen as dangerous and possibly bad for business. By the end of 3669 BBY, the Republic and Empire established embassies on Nar Shaddaa to maintain good relations with the Hutt cartels, the move had worked to enrich their profits.
  • Rise of King Horus Kun: In 3664 BBY the galaxy was awash with blood when a new new force entered the picture. Jedi, or at least they seemed like Jedi launched a surprise attack on Imperial forces in the Taris system. This surprise assault was devastating and much of the fleet was lost. On Coruscant envoys from the House of Horus Kun arrived offering an alliance. Jedi Master Horus Kun had survived ad established a new government and order of Jedi with himself as the leader. In a time of desperation the Senate was open to working with this new government but the Jedi were suspicious at the turn of events.
  • Sith Response: The Dark Council called out for blood, well Darth Thanaton and his supporter did, Darth Arya agreed though not as vociferously. Darth Marr was quiet on the matter and also occupied with dominating the war. Darth Vengean at the urging of Lord Baras offered patience. It was a strange stance that did not receive much traction until Lord Baras was allowed to take the floor and explain that the Jedi would turn against this new ally. There were doubts but when Darth Marr agreed the rest of the council eventually fell into line. Lord Baras then set his agents to work.
  • The Jedi Act: In early 3663 BBY the Jedi Council came to a decision on the matter of Horus Kun, it was a decision that would cause Grand Master Thurel Sho to step down and go into exile of her own accord. A strike team was formed after evidence was brought to the Jedi Council that Horus Kun had fallen and was trying to supplant the Jedi order. It was an assassination, or at least it should have been but King Horus Kun was prepared for the surprise attack. He immediately broke ties with the Republic and attacked, he was eventually defeated but the protracted conflict drained considerable resources from the Republic and soured the reputation of the Jedi.
  • Behind the Scenes: The conflict between the Republic and the traitor forces was exacerbated by agents working for Lord Baras, what should have been a short conflict became a long drawn out siege that costed millions of lives and a great deal of resources. A great success for Lord Baras and his master Darth Vengean.
  • Republic in Decline: Years of war passed as the lines shifted and world changed hands many by blood and battle others by diplomacy or fear. The Jedi were split on the war, some still sought peace while others chose to act. Many in the Republic military are reluctant to engage Jedi forces as they feel the Jedi Code restricts what actions they could commit in the field. Meanwhile the Sith continued their march of victory, relying on overwhelming force to secure victory. Yet such a momentum is not sustainable and cracks are showing in stratagem. By 3658 BBY things were bleak for the Republic.
  • Offense is the best Defense: A new commander of the allied Republic Forces took control, General Tiyana Vill. She was a squadron leader during the defeat at the Battle of Korriban, she had seen first hand what the Sith were capable of and had seen weaknesses in their strategy. Weaknesses she started to capitalize on by utilizing clandestine strikes behind enemy lines, diverting funds to indigenous resistance forces, and putting the Sith on the defensive. It was a hard sell but the early results have been promising. By 3656 BBY the Republic was gaining momentum with a newly emboldened Jedi order supporting the Republic military.
  • 3656 BBY: Events of Korriban Academy begin here.
  • Imperial Defeat: General Tiyana Vill continues to route Imperial forces in the Outer Rim with her favored hit and run tactics. A charismatic leader she is able to rally dissidents in Imperial controlled space to aid Republic forces and start carving away at the borders of the Empire. The Imperial response is swift but they are still on their heels.
  • Outer Rim Massacre: Imperial forces decide to cut support for the Republic by enacting a vicious campaign of terror on dissidents and suspected terrorist in their Outer Rim territories. A decisive blow is delivered on Tatooine by forces serving Darth Mar crippling Republic operations in the system. At the same time Lord Hoshi arrives in the Outer Rim with her ragtag force of pirates and free slaves and begins to harass engage Republic forces bringing much needed reinforcements to the Imperial lines.
  • Coruscant Nights: The Jedi Council continues to lead as best they can without a Grand Master and with no consensus among the members it may be some time before one is found. The Imperial Chancellor pushes for more support and finances to fund the war effort, the destruction in the Outer Rim territories is taking a toll on the armies of the Republic.
  • Hutts on the March: The destruction in the Outer Rim moves the Hutts to solidify and fortify their holdings. After a particularly devastating Republic attack on Malthas, a minor Hutt pleasure world suspected of holding Imperial resources, several high ranking Imperial and Republic officers are exposed as having less than savory ties to criminal organizations or are simply assassinated. The Hutts are quiet on the matter but both sides err to avoid territories the Hutts value.
  • Magpie Magpie: The Jedi, specifically those that live in the shadows, are contacted by an individual or organization that calls itself Magpie. This Magpie has a great deal of knowledge and inside information on Imperial forces and more importantly spies within the Republic. There is much distrust but the Jedi begin to utilize this information to dismantle several spy rings within the Republic.
  • The Uraka Incident: An independent system with an autocratic society is completely wiped out nearly overnight. A temperate garden world, Uraka, is turned into a blasted wasteland after the usage of some super weapon. Early reports claim it is an Imperial weapon, but then there are claims it was a Republic project gone rogue. In the end the mystery is never solved but out there somewhere is a super weapon capable of turning worlds into radioactive wastelands. The Uraka civilization is lost with no evidence of why.
  • Hoshi’s Hammer: Lord Hoshi and her fleet begin a campaign of conquest, focusing on worlds with large slave populations though avoiding Hutt worlds, to avoid any further retaliation. The fleet proves quite devastating versus the Republic with their unorthodox tactics and loyalty they bring to their Sith liberator. Her victories cause a great deal of friction back home and if not for some interference run by Darth Baras, she would have been labeled a traitor and villain of the Empire. Instead she is painted as a savior especially after her forces save Darth Vengean’s beleaguered forces.
  • Burn the Witch: An attempt on the life of Darth Arya, which fails, and several prominent Sith and Imperial leaders causes a great deal of confusion and infighting as Imperial forces turn on each other and the Dark Council wars with itself. Darth Arya sees clearly that the threat is external from an agent called Magpie and allies with Darth Baras to eradicate this threat.
  • The Satele Gambit: Balmorra is a state of conflict, with neither side holding ground for long on the beleaguered world, Imperial forces fight to crush rebellion and the Republic works to keep the flame of freedom alive. While on a diplomatic humanitarian mission Jedi Knight Satele Shan and her apprentice lead a ragtag rebellion to liberate a powerful industrial city on the planet’s surface and create a stronghold for Republic influence in the sector. Her actions are not without cost but her bravery and wisdom get her appointed as a Master in the order after the month’s long campaign and bring hope back to Balmorra.
  • The Ascension: With Imperial dominance assured in the Outer Rim for the moment Lord Hoshi is elevated to the rank of Darth and through political machinations is put onto the Dark Council. The new appointment brings a new age of instability to the Empire as many traditionalists and moderates find her appointment an affront of the Sith traditions, in the shadows Darth Baras is pleased as he uses the chaos to remove threats to his plans. It is costly to the Empire but fortuitous for the ambitious Sith.
  • 12th Month of 3656 BBY, the 17th day: Events of Nar Shaddaa begin.

Timeline of 3655 BBY

Months 1 through 3

In the days following the signing of the Nar Shaddaa Peace Accord, conflicts throughout the galaxy between the Republic and Empire come to a halt and full cessation of hostilities within three weeks of the pronouncement. There are celebrations in Republic space and vicious politics in the Empire; by the end of the three months of transition and negotiation both sides agree that Corellia will serve as a suitable meeting point between the Empire and Republic. Construction begins in earnest of a Sith Empire Embassy on the surface.
  • Many Heads: Baesal Zyn returns to Coruscant and begins her search for the intelligence known as HYDRA. It is a difficult search but she finds clues to a rogue intelligence network on Dantooine. After a harrowing adventure she is able to defeat the rogue intelligence but HYDRA escapes. She does learn that HYDRA is one of many intelligences native to some alien world known as Iokath, there are no known charts that list such a world though.
  • Witches in Black: Galen spends time with the Black Witches and although a man he earns their trust and begins a journey of studying the Force and the natural flows of the universe. By the end of his time he is able to reconstruct the Lightsaber he found.
  • Best in Class: Aphr completes her training on Korriban, proving herself a worthy pupil and is recruited by Lord Zhorrid as her apprentice. She moves to Drommund Kaas to serve her new Master.
  • Birds and the Void: Rumun brokers an alliance between his master Darth Hoshi and the Magpie, bringing together two maniacal Sith into an alliance that is sure to yield explosions, both literal and figurative.
  • Gimme a Break: Luth is thoroughly debriefed on Coruscant complete with psych evaluation before she is allowed some time to herself. She tracks down Sylvain and the two travel together. The Jedi keep track of her movements via a network of Jedi Shadows, doubly so when she links up with Sylvain.
Month 4

The Jedi Council meets on Coruscant and summons Master Remsi Thun, reluctantly she agrees to travel to Coruscant. Upon arrival the Council closes the door and debates the current events for nearly two weeks of intense deliberations and reflection as they ponder their role in the changing Galaxy and their lack of direction. By the end of these discussions Grand Master Resmi Thun emerges as the leader of the council along with Master Satele Shan taking her place on the council, an appointment many consider long overdue. For the first time in decades the Jedi Council is whole.

Grand Master Resmi Thun outlines her vision of the Jedi. She does not support open warfare but also believes that all Jedi should prepare themselves for conflict. She promotes intellectual curiosity, diplomacy, and aiding the people of the Republic over warfare and martial pursuits. Despite her focus she also quietly builds up the strength and numbers of the Jedi Shadows and names them the Eyes of the Council creating a network of force sensitive agents throughout the galaxy. The Jedi will not be caught unawares when next the Sith turn their eyes to conquest, Master Nomen Karr leads the Eyes of the Council.

In the Empire there is a great deal of conflict as peace with the Republic means that many Sith factions turn their ambitions to their fellows and infighting begins in the outer regions as old hatreds and feuds take precedence. There are whispers that the Dark Council has grown soft and there are many attempts on the lives of the most powerful Sith.

Meanwhile the Voice of the Emperor embarks on a pilgrimage to the planet of Voss, Jedi agents try to intercede but they are confounded by Voss agents who seem to be aiding the Voice. This encounter only cements the belief among the Jedi that the Voss Mystics are not to be trusted and perhaps even dangerous.
  • Promoting Darkness: Shaisha is promoted to the rank of Lord, and dons the name of Lord Tenebrous while on Yavin IV Jo’ren Rath is also promoted to the rank of Lord by Darth Vengean for his loyal service.

Month 5

A Spice epidemic becomes apparent on the core worlds of the Empire with cheap and powerful narcotics flooding the market. Abuse of legal drugs is on the rise and the Hutt cartels amplify that supply much to their benefit. The Dark Council is slow to respond as they work to bring the infighting to heel. The Emperor has been silent for some time, the Voice has not reached out the Dark Council and the will of the Emperor has been inscrutable. The Wrath is quiet, only leaving his citadel to destroy enemies of the Emperor, or perhaps his own rivals, though none would question the Wrath.

The Hutt Cartels are loathe to take in so many refugees and provide ample transportation for Imperial and Outer Rim refugees to the Republic controlled worlds. This rare display of altruism is profitable as the Hutts charge a hefty sum to smuggle these desperate folks into Republic space. The Galactic Senate publicly decries the Hutts for exploiting these masses but with the Hutts providing security and transportation for these people it frees up the military to better secure the borders.

Mandalorian forces under the leadership of Corso Fett seize Mandalore in a daring assault . The Independent world falls to the Mandalorian warlord and his actions draw many Mandalorians to his cause as they see a chance to reclaim the glory of the past. The Republic take notice strengthen their borders in that region but are still more worried about the Empire than tackling what they consider a minor threat at this time. Imperial support of Corso Fett stays beneath notice, just as planned.
  • Knight takes Pawn: Arali is finally promoted to the rank of Jedi Knight, a well received promotion. Meanwhile Cole advances to the rank of Captain as he reaffirms his commitment to the Republic Armed Forces.
Months 6 and 7

With the fighting subsiding the Galactic Senate turns to political matters and tackling rising tensions within the Republic worlds, the fighting had drained the coffers and devastated many core and outer rim worlds. The Supreme Chancellor begins a campaign of rebuilding and public works to promote the economy and recovery. Some senators wish to downsize the military but many more prefer to maintain or even increase the military strength as they see this peace as only a temporary reprieve.

The masses are happy that the war is over but with many soldiers returning, now or in the near future, to civilian life there is a large clamor for jobs and opportunities.

Meanwhile in the Empire, warfare is rampant between the Sith as rivalries take precedence over conflict with the Republic. Darth Thanaton leads an effort to quell the fighting but is met with opposition from the Radical factions of the Sith who see this time of bloodshed and change as one of renewal. The old ways have failed and the Sith Empire must reforge itself through blood and violence. Darth Hoshi has become the primary opposition to Darth Thanaton and their arguments in the Dark Council chambers are intense just short of open violence. Darth Marr does his best to try and keep the military together, but Sith backbiting is rampant and soon even he will have to choose a side. Thankfully his Champion keeps the Outer Rim pacified in his name and has earned herself the nickname of the Steel Valkyrie.

One surprising ally of Darth Marr is Darth Baras who has returned from so-called death to bring order to the Empire. His agents have rooted out the last remnants of the Magpie’s pawns, though the incident on Nar Shaddaa has left his network decimated, weakened, and vulnerable. Although not on the council, Darth Zash, hated enemy of Thanaton, decides to lay low seeing the bloodshed rise, she fades from public sight and enshrines herself in study beyond the borders of the Empire.
  • Up the Chain: Vec Gunnar is promoted to the rank of Lieutenant granting him more freedom to serve alongside Lord Tenebrous.

Month 8

On the minor Republic world of Bankor, Ras Urdo rises to the position of senator after a contentious election. On the eve of his victory party a Republic strike force led by Captain Niall Organa and Mandalorians raid the senator’s home and expose his lies and secrets in a vicious shootout. By the end of the night the would-be senator is arrested and incarcerated in a top secret Republic prison facility on [Redacted].

SIS agents install the runner up as Senator, a young twi’lek politician by the name of Leontyne Saresh. A young progressive woman of ambition. She is fiercely against the Empire and believes that the only path to true peace is the complete destruction of the Empire but for now she pursues issues focused on Bankor.
  • Elected: Durasay returns home and pursues a life of politics and public service eventually securing himself a seat as a senator of Pantora and pushing for greater freedom from the central government of the Galactic Republic.
  • Hidden Knowledge: Having removed himself from public life, Sylvain travels the galaxy following the flows of the Force and recruits allies in the shadows. Mystics who see as he do, remnants of the Jal Shey.
  • Diplomacy is Hard: Alysele is appointed to a position of diplomat on Corellia to work with the Empire and maintain peace between the two factions.
Month 9

Returned from the depths of wild space, Lord Usur an apprentice of the Dread Masters meets secretly with Darth Hoshi alerts her to a grand secret. The Dread Masters are not lost but being held by the Republic, he goes to the Dark Councilor to beseech her aid in ascertaining their exact location to free them and unleash tier power on the galaxy once again. Meanwhile agents of Darth Hoshi and Darth Malgus meet to solidify an alliance, in the shadows is Magpie who has aligned her forces with Darth Hoshi and is leading the efforts to discover the location of the Dread Masters.

Quietly away from the public eye, Thy Yulani gives birth to a son with Master Satele Shan at her side. Few know the true parentage of her boy, Nilu, but his red tinged skin and features denote him of having true Sith ancestry. Thy remains with the child before leaving him with trusted friends and returning to the Jedi.

Timeline of 3652 BBY

Month 6

Events of Ziost take place here.

By the end of the month shocking news shakes the galaxy, that the immortal Emperor of the Sith Empire has died and was succeeded by a child Empress. The ripples of his death were particularly concerning to the Jedi Council, bringing both relief and shock but the news of a new Empress and news that Imperial diplomacy was shifting to a more aggressive and belligerent stance against the Republic.

Senator Saresh urges the Galactic Senate that the time of peace is coming to an end and that a pre-emptive strike during this time of chaos could end the Empire once and for all. Although her words do not move the Republic to war, they do forge a wedge issue that will spark a secession crisis as many nations wish to find a peaceful solution and forego any more warfare.

Month 7 and 8

The Imperial Embassy is closed on Corellia, following the destruction of the sister embassy on Ziost. Protests by anti-war citizens fill the streets of many Core and outer rim worlds in what is called the Green Fists movement who wish to see peace reign in the galaxy and seem to blame pro-war factions in the Senate for the breakdown as knowledge of the Ziost Insurrection is not disseminated due to the chaotic nature of the information coming out of Sith Imperial space.
  • Fixing and Hixing: Lord Rath charges Dr. Hix to make progress on the Star Forge project and then begins a journey across the stars guided by the dark side of the Force, but his agents keep his presence felt in the Empire. Sometimes joined by Darth Tenebrous, but not always.
  • Xal and Morty: Xal Kimiya uses his findings to expand the Massassi project and find ways to integrate other species into the Imperial war machine; he also studies the affects of the Emperor's mind control and how to prevent such in the future though the latter is a much slower process as the Emperor's power seems to be beyond anything in recorded history of the Sith.
Month 9

Sixth Line Jedi are activated in a joint operation with the SIS to get concrete information on the condition of the Emperor or Empress and the political situation in the Empire. By the end of the month the team is in operation on Drommund Kaas gathering information and building a dossier on the current state of the Empire.

She also marries Jaheem Abasi, because why not.
  • Knowledge is Power: Darth Tenebrous assumes her post as the Keeper of Sith Traditions and works closely with the Dark Mother to establish and reaffirm Sith traditions throughout the Empire. She delves into dark mysteries and allows herself to be drawn to foci of dark power throughout the Galaxy... but in particularly dark moments she can still feel the presence of the bygone Emperor.
Month 10

Imperial Forces are seen to deploy in the outer regions of the Empire engaging in warfare against rebellious forces led by Darth Hoshi and the remnants of the factions that supported Darth Malgus, the fighting is slow going as the bulk of the military is still recovering from a purge of dissident elements spear-headed by the Empress-Regent and a vast restructuring of the power structure means the Empire is slow to bring their full power to bear and for now allow the rebels to control their regions of space.
  • Malveaux Madness: Lucinia discovers an ancient broken black skull that is strong in the Dark Side, the object when empowered acts like a singularity swallowing all light and matter but the strain to keep it going is immense to the point of near fatality but if it could be harnessed fully would be a deadly relic and weapon.
  • More Massassi than Massassi: Mahr consolidates his power among the Massassi and gets appointed as a Minister of Cultural afairs, pyramids with sacrifical alters for everyone! Massassi punk music is all the rage and the Red Queen is made into a near mythical figure among the Massassi and the hybrids.
Month 11 and 12

The final months of the year are quiet in the Republic and Empire of anything world shaking or disastrous, and seems a blessing for those that are wishing for a peaceful start to a new year. The Republic begins a new Armed Forces recruitment drive in response to the deteriorating relationship with the Empire, they call upon heroes from the Bankor conflict to act as the face of the “I did, you can too!” campaign. The Jedi politely decline to be a part of the campaign and the final episode of Vera Hawke: Jedi Knight airs and breaks records, the finale is controversial as the ending leaves it unclear if the heroine survived her duel with her nemesis.
  • Hutt Ball Madness: Remmington establishes a new Hutt Ball league for the Empire and adds new elements not seen in the sport such as a water based stage and more maniacal traps. he violent sport quickly catches on among the youth of the Empire. Meanwhile Remmington continues his crusade against the Eagle and his agents.

  • Czerka Czerka Jihad: Jan Melmoar is promoted to the Board of Directors for Czerka earning a cushy pay scale and even access to the Executive bathroom; she is also given leave to operate from a mobile cruiser for fast response for all of Czerka's needs. Plus a lifetime supply of Czerka Cola Clear, discontinued due to poor sales.
  • Revolution 360: Darth Bellious operates from the shadows and foments rebellion on dozens of worlds within the Republic, some more successful than others but it destabilizes whole sectors and requires the Republic to commit more resources to already resource strained regions.
Year of 3651 BBY

The first two months of the year are marked by elections in the Galactic Senate as many senators are exposed for taking bribes from Czerka for lucrative contracts on the highly promoted frontier world of Taris, Senator Saresh is hailed as a hero for bringing the criminals to justice and even lands the position of leading the Taris Initiative giving her a great deal of influence and pull in the Senate.

In the third month the secret Sixth Line Jedi mission ends and they bring back news of the Emperor’s death and the rise of a new Empress, the news is suppressed by the Jedi and the Highest ranking members of the Republic military till they better understand this new Empress and her agenda.

Still by the fourth month of the year in the Republic, rumors abound of the death of the Emperor and a new Empress, some say it is all lies and the Emperor still reigns others that the Emperor was always an Empress… and a dozen other conspiracy theories many of them coming from a growing movement called Core First which believes that the Republic is destined to fall apart because it wastes so much money and effort aiding lesser worlds and lesser species that drag down the potential for greatness. One of their vocal members is a Coruscant native, Kuli Bondo, who has made his whole platform a very xenophobic nationalist stance.

Imperial forces are reluctant to fully engage the rebels and leave their borders weak against Republic incursion, it is unclear from the Republic side of the state of the war but refugee ships reach the border regions weekly and quickly overwhelm local governments trying to cope with those fleeing the fighting in the Empire. There are also fears that bad elements are using the cover of refugees to enter Republic space.

By the ninth month of the year the Refugee Crisis is the largest news as Core Worlds are slow to open their borders to the suffering strained outer regions fueling the succession crisis even more. For their part Core Worlds feel that their taxes and resources are being utilized by poorer regions and training already strapped resources.

In the final months of the year a new show becomes the sensation of the Holonet, a reality show called The Real Mandalorian, it’s a dating show where fifteen contestants of varying species compete for helmets each week to earn the right to date a Mandalorian. The show is outrageous and over the top and seems to promote some of the worst stereotypes of the Mandalorian people and the fans love it, with vicious arguments over which contestant deserves the honor.
  • Dread Apprentice: The Dread Masters take Ilar'Sharla into their fold and Brontes personally begins his training in the power of Dread, he excels and is made a powerful agent in their service and even control of the Followers of the Dread Word in the coming years.
  • Starry Eyed Cabal: Alister Dravvad melts back into the shadows and is given a think tank in service to the Star Cabal to study [redacted]. The work continues but now he ahs a great deal of resources.
  • Mother Knows Best: Jun-Tsu Farro, the Reverend Mother and Empress Dowager tightens her control on Imperial court and uses her influence to better balance the Sith curriculum of new aspirants to know the Force not only as a martial tool but also one of mysticism and spirituality. She becomes more of a mythic figure in the common eye, almost religious and is often referred to as the Dark Mother. She also establishes a smaller more elite Academy on Korriz focused on the mysteries of the Dark Side.
  • Revan more like Dead-an: Lord Mordax works with Lana Beniko in touing all any Revanite threat from the Empire, using his ancient Mask as a tool to show that the mythical figure is now truly gone and is a relic of a bygone era. He is also appointed to the Council of War and works with other powerful Sith and Moffs to bring the military back to strength and prepare for future conquest.
  • Expecting the Inquisition: Darth Abasi takes the helm of the Inquisition, and roots out heresy at the command of the Empress. Meanwhile he works to keep his newfound allies of Darth Hofu and the Dread Masters on his side, though it seems the Dread Masters have their own plans for the future.
  • Rise up Valthren: House Valthren rises to prominence in the outer regions of the Empire and is looked to for leadership and guidance, meanwhile Dayana Valthren keeps her Jedi contacts in place as diplomacy strains between the great powers.
  • Sending a Message: Rumun Gol fights the good fight for Darth Hoshi, a popular figure in the outer regions and drags on the conflict in the Empire because chaos is a ladder, stairs, and a door... or maybe he just likes chaos? He begins organizing a possible secession from the Empire if it can gain traction.
  • Red is the New Sexy Black: Femme Fatale sexy is back, becoming a holonet social celbrity Shelzais Sek gains fans on boths dies of the divide through her lavish lifestyle and builds up her network of smugglers and traders, because party and money is life.
Year of 3650 BBY

In the early months of the year the refugee crisis reaches a breaking point and attacks on refugees begin to grow across the Republic building civil unrest in the outer regions. Alderaan is one of the first Core Worlds to ban the redistribution of refugees to their world or colonies. Coruscant is still open to refugees but a quota is put on refugees moving to Corellia… a solution is found when many are relocated to Taris at the behest of Senator Saresh to find a solution to the problem. It’s a hard life on Taris, but the maneuver is popular and makes the Senator a hero during the crisis.

Meanwhile the tables seem to be turning in the Imperial Civil War, according to the SIS, a new force aligned with the Empire has entered the fight and if the news is to be believed they do battle under the banner of the Dread Masters.

By the sixth month the Refugee Crisis seems to have been abated in the Republic, and an official announcement of the death of the Immortal Sith Emperor, which dominates the news cycle for the next month as the details of the death seem to either be unknown or highly classified. The news actually came forth as a leak brought to the public from the government of Corellia. The leak details possible military operations to strike at Imperial assets and only emboldens anti-war rhetoric who feel such an attack would only restart the war and others fear that the leak will now anger the Empire into striking at the Republic.

The Jedi Council in the eighth month has a deep debate on what to do about the Empress and many argue that the time is now to end the Empire of the Sith and bring peace to the galaxy. It is a heated debate as the window of opportunity is slowly closing, at least according to the Jedi master Nomen Karr, by the end the decision is made that the Empress is a threat and that a strike team will be formed though it is not unanimous… Satele Shan is chief among those that believes that this action will lead to more suffering and death.

Meanwhile on Alderaan, House Thul and House Panteer firm up their alliance to counter the growing influence of House Ulgo and its allies. Although there are no military conflicts there are many courtly conflicts and duels between the families and even a few key but courtly assassinations, that seem to build the animosity between the great houses. Known as the Red Winter, it seems to be a prelude to civil war but deft diplomacy by the Jedi and the great houses keeps the peace.

In the final days of the year the Jedi Strike Team acts on Ziost, attempting to assassinate the Empress but they run afoul of Darth Tenebrous’ agents and the forces of Lord Mordax, the Jedi are cornered and dispatched to the last but not before they are tortured at the behest of the Empress. This critical failure is covered up by the Jedi Council as the action was not endorsed or even put to the ruling authorities of the Galactic Republic.

Year of 3649 BBY

The first month of the year is quiet across the galaxy, the only incident of note is a freighter called the Infinite Destiny ran afoul of a rare hyperspace phenomenon and got thrown onto an uncharted hyperlane… they said they found an Empire in Wild Space more advanced than the Republic or Sith Empire, sadly on their return they could not find the hyperlanes they traveled due to damage to the ship during the perilous journey. Most consider it a hoax but the few images they were able to salvage seem compelling of a vast city wide planet with spires that pierce into low orbit.

The second month is far more eventful, the Sith Empire returned the favor of the Jedi attack by invading Coruscant in one of the boldest maneuvers in history. The invasion effort was spearheaded by Darth Marr, with Lord Rath personally leading the attack on the Jedi Temple; agents of Darth Baras had already seeded the city with agents to pave the way for the invasion.

To further the distraction Lord Bellious fomented rebellion on Dantooine, drawing away precious reinforcements as the Imperial Navy bombarded the planet focusing their ire on the Jedi Temple. Grand Master Resmi Thun gave her life protecting the youngest and the Jedi Council was decimated. By the end of the attack on the fifth day of the second month, Coruscant was occupied by the Empire.

The occupation was brutal but not complete as the resistance was constant, the Republic did not relent and the second war for the galaxy began. A brutal period of battles across the galaxy although the Empire held the upper hand at the start a reprieve would come from the unlikeliest of sources, the Mandalorian clans who took advantage of the chaos to attack both sides in devastating raids. The Clans had splintered and the dream of Corso Fett had fallen apart as they devolved into disparate groups controlled by Mandalorian warlords drunk on power and glory.

The greatest battles of the second war are the Siege of Balmorra and the Hoth Offensive, easily the largest naval battle of the war and a turning point for the Republic. Even so, the war was costly with billions of lives lost or displaced across the galaxy. The Hoth Offensive occurring near the end of the year as the Dantooine Rebellion is finally resolved and the bulk of the Republic can be brought to bear on the marauding Imperial navy.

Year of 3648 BBY

The Empire was winning but their resources were strained and within months the military would be running low on supplies and might even have to face famine, The Republic was licking their wounds but were dealing with fractures in some worlds deserting and others facing economic collapse due to constant fighting. This brought both sides to the table to sign the Treaty of Coruscant with both sides entering a state of cold war, taking nearly two months for the negotiations with fighting finally ending on the fourth day of the second month.

The next three months mark a time of recovery and rebuilding, the Jedi relocate their temple to Tython for the time being, and it is unclear when reconstruction will begin on the temple on Coruscant. In addition raids continue from the warring Mandalorian clans all across the galaxy.

During the occupation of Coruscant it was leaked that the Jedi might have sparked the war by trying to kill the new Empress, reports are unsubstantiated but the Holonet is afire with conspiracy theories on the matter and public opinion in the outer regions most affected by the war turn against the Jedi Order, though they hold strong support in the Core where they were most active in combating the new Sith Empire.
  • The Eagle Returns: Char Fin'le, secretly establishes new cells of the Eagle network across the Empire and work with Jadus to remind the Empire that Fear is not just in the hands of the Sith, it is hounded by authorities but the message can never truly be stamped out.

Month 6

Tensions are high on Alderaan as the tail end of the spring season approaches, the annual Festival of a Thousand Flowers is always a wonderful beautiful time especially as people settle into the idea of an uneasy peace. Still politics swirls about as House Thul continues to grow closer to Panteer driving a wedge between Panteer and Ulgo; while House Organa tries to keep the peace. Though that becomes more difficult as Imperial backers of House Thul show growing influence on the planet, although barred from deploying military forces there is a small delegation lead by Lana Beniko, an influential Sith, strictly on the planet as an advisory council to House Thul and Panteer. There is also the question of succession as the Queen is expected to announce who the next heir will be.

Can love and romance survive these politics?

The events of Alderaan take place here.

Month 7

As the Festival of a Thousand Flowers comes to an end, Alderaan remains strong and united behind Queen Panteer. What follows towards the middle of the month are a series of official engagements first with all three of the children announcing future weddings; Crown Prince Gaul Panteer, heir to the throne would wed the Jedi Knight, Kataryzna Ulgo which may go a long way to mending the wounds of the failed insurrection. Prince Joran Panteer and Jocaasta Teraan announced their official an engagement along side Jameela Panteer who will be wed to Galen Sol. The new couples are prepped and will embark on a tour of Alderaan territories which will last approximately six months. The first wedding will be for the Crown Prince in a year’s time followed by the twins in a joint wedding ceremony the following month.

Animals, think of the Animals: Blai Frayus tends to the creatures affected by the dark side and starts a sanctuary to tend to a great deal of creatures, in recognition of his efforts the Queen even offers some of her prized thranta to the young noble.

Month 8

Duchess Ulgo comes before the crown and once again pledges her loyalty and fealty to the Queen in an official ceremony, the Queen shows mercy and accepts the reaffirmed fidelity but also levies her justice by striping key lands from Ulgo and delivering them to House Thul and House Lanar. It is a blow to the might of Ulgo but the Duchess accepts, though in time there will probably be future conflicts… but such is the way of Alderaan nobility.

House Lanar Returns: House Lanar receives a great deal of support from House Thul, who invest a great deal of resources to get the small family back on their feet. In turn Riss begins promoting unity among the Houses and promoting support for a united Alderaan.

Month 9

Pirate attacks in the outer rim begin to grow as Republic begins to focus on recovery and pressure from constituents in the Core want an end to the constant deployments of military in the outer regions keeping families divided. This forms a vacuum that allows pirates and other unsavory folks to exert their influence in those regions.

Princess Fashion: Alysele Organa becomes the it girl for fashion among the cool youthful people of the Republic, Jedi Chic goes large supported by influencers like Daz Hoshin. Plus all the proceeds goes to a fun that helps to fund orphans of the Republic. The Jedi Council does not approve of the venture but admit that it does more good than harm and do not intercede.

Month 10

Crown Prince Panteer resumes his duties on Coruscant, even though he is constantly on the move due to his engagement tour he does make time to advocate for tighter security and to warn against threats like those that tied to sow chaos on Alderaan. As for those responsible it seems the events have caused them to go to ground and burn many of their expendable agents. Whatever plot the Clever Man was cooking was foiled by the peaceful reconciliation of the Alderaan nobility. In the months that follow the claims of a grand conspiracy at work fall to the wayside as the bulk of the blame falls on Bouris Ulgo and his accomplices. But still those that know stay vigilant.

Month 11

The Blackguard are honored by Queen Panteer for their actions during the failed insurrection which has been come to be called Night of Ulgo’s Folley. She is surprised to find many Jedi by their side, including Jedi Knight Kataryzna who expresses a desire to create a splinter order called the Paladins. They are given leave to reclaim the site found by Kellen Rist and his associates, and with some official backing will begin the long process of establishing Paladin Fortress.

Month 12

A relatively quiet month, though back in the Empire the civil war was turning to the tide of the Empress as her allies had crushed most of the resistance with the aid of the Minister of War’s tactics and the Intelligence and machinations of Darth Baras, who was quick to ingratiate himself with the new regime and expose enemies of the state. The end of the war came with what is called in the Empire the Night of Black Tears, the Imperial world of Kovaal, a mining Industrial world was sacrificed in the name of the Empress, all three billion souls, for their role in the rebellion. The act quickly broke the resolve of many of the hard liners and although there was resistance, it was less a war and more a minor conflict.

In the years to come, Kovaal would become a site for a new Sith Temple and Academy built on the literal bones of the dead for students to probe the Dark Side and delve into sorcery.

Unlikely but Risty Business: Duke Rist announces that his family will be downsizing their mortality operations, and proposed for parliament reforms to end the barbaric practice of sanctioned mortality. This is met with a great deal of resistance but within the year the reforms are passed by a slight majority and the practice would soon be a thing of the past. Meanwhile Zayne Rist reacquaints himself with his family, and the Force.

A Model Marriage: House Andrim and Alde unite in matrimony, a tremendous affair for both houses. This coupled with Aurilie Alde promoting unity helps to push back the growing xenophobic sentiment among the people of Alderaan. With the support of Jocaasta Teraan the message grows quickly and builds into a large and fierce loyalist movement... perhaps one could say Alderaanian Nationalist movement.

Year of 3647 BBY

The early part of the year was dotted with minor border conflicts between the Empire and Republic, thankfully the exchanges were more posturing than outright violent conflicts but it led to a three month crisis that war could be imminent before hostilities started to die down.

On Coruscant the refugee crisis reaches a head as public opinion began to turn against them, there are violent clashes in the streets and extremism is on the rise and with the Jedi predominately off world due to the destruction of the Temple their influence is not as heavily felt in the Core.

By the sixth month things deteriorate into fighting in the streets and martial law to bring order to the crisis, in an unpopular move local authorities begin forcibly moving migrants and refugees to outer rim colonies that are under financed as much of the aid from Alderaan, and other wealthy core worlds, goes to the Core and then outward though an initiative put forward by Princess Jameela Panteer and Senator Leontyne Saresh looks to divert much needed funding and resources to impoverished Republic worlds.

The move was extremely popular and gave Senator Saresh a great deal of influence and power and made her very popular with the people, especially in the many territories of the outer regions of the Republic. Saresh formed the Republic People’s movement and has used that to successfully push forward progressive legislation that favored the outer territories, while hugely popular it did anger those folks in the Core Worlds who felt they were being exploited for the sake of far flung strangers.

In the seventh month of the year, Crown Prince Gaul Panteer was wed in a highly broadcast event across Republic Space, it is estimated that the wedding cost in excess of five billion credits and was a ten-day affair. The wedding was highly formalized and followed all the esoteric customs and standards of Alderaan nobility, and it sparked debate on excess but overall was seen as the events of the decade. In the following month a smaller but still lavish joint wedding was held for the twins and their respective spouses.

Museums are Cool: The damage to the museum is repaired with a great deal of support including Blai Frayus who dedicates a whole wing to Galena and Jameela or Natural History. The museum is repaired just in time to hose Kellen Rists latest finds on Dantooine, relics from the era of the Mandalorian Wars, priceless artifacts.

Knightly Orders: The Order of the Heart is formed Alderaan by a Hutt of all sentient beings, Desilijic Keyhote is even honored by the Queen with Knighthood, causing a resurgence among young people on Alderaan in knightly orders and honor. Emphasizing a more romantic view of battle, service, and dedication to love. Young hutts back in Hutt space hear of this and take on the more... supremacist/fealty aspects of this resurgence.

Year of 3646 BBY

With the proper submission of Kovaal, the Sith Empire turned to fierce reforms of their military, it was a bloody purge spearheaded by the Minister of War. One of the major goals was to minimize the war games of the Sith and codify a system that allowed Sith to request military escort or requisition military forces but no longer would they have free reign to just use the military at their will.

This would anger the Sith, or as they were becoming known the Old Blood, but the new Sith paradigm emphasized a greater focus on exploring the secrets of the Darth side Sorcery; an exploration of mysticism and a wave of Sith Mysticism was seeping into all sectors of Imperial life. This was further emphasized by the shift in education at the Sith Academy with a greater focus on exploring Sith doctrine and mastering the Dark Side.

Sith Sorcery was on the rise and sentient sacrifice was practiced in some of the more extreme factions of the Sith. Over the coming years, this movement would grow and although sentient sacrifice would always be fringe, practices that emphasize blood sacrifice, scarification, and pain meditation would proliferate through Sith Empire society.

Meanwhile in the Republic towards the end of the year, there were scattered reports of conflict with forces that resembled the Sith but did not fly their banners and officially disavowed by the Sith Empire. By the end of the year the Dread Masters revealed their hand seizing several outer rim worlds, many worlds submitting to them willing through terror and fear.

Too Fast, Too Commissioned: Miyi Thul and Garth Thul participate in the early fighting, both having returned to service in the Republic Navy, their three children at home with lovable Xero Thul. Major Miyi Thul is the XO of the Tenacity while Garth is promoted to Captain and leads the fighter wing on the Tenacity. The Tenacity held the line even against the turncoats earning much distinction for the duo.

Mixing it up with Mixo: Verash Organa quietly relocates to Pantora to better oversee her trade deal she made with Durasay, if that meant spending more time with her paramour well... just the perks of doing business. Besides she had a new obsession, collecting relics tied to the darker side of the Force.

Year of 3645 BBY

The Dread War was a test of the recovering Republic as their forces deployed in earnest, but it was a difficult conflict as many of the worlds had submitted willingly and their governments were dismantled, but the people at large suffered. The war would rage for three years across dozens of worlds, but the opening salvos were not in the favor of the Republic as their forces were turned on their allies, the initial defeats were demoralizing for the Republic Armed Forces with mass desertions in the field to the side of the Dread Masters.

These defeats brought fear tat the Empire would strike at them but nothing came. One can thank the Hutts for the Empire turned their gaze upon the Hutt Cartels as they cracked down on drug trade within their territories in a shadow war.

While the fighting happens in the galactic south, Crown Prince Gaul and his wife celebrate the birth of their first child, and future queen, Vishani Kataryzna Panteer. The announcement is met with much fanfare and pictures of the young family shoots to the top of most searched lists across the Holonet.

Meanwhile on Tython there is a minor conflict that threatens local, though technically illegal twi’lek pilgrims, from the flesheater sentients but they are pushed back by a joint Jedi and Killik force proving that there is a possibility for peaceful coexistence from the displaced species but still many Jedi and locals are wary of the alien hives relocated to the system.

XOs to the XO: Cynella participates in the Dread Master conflict as an XO of the Blue Gallant, distinguishing herself in several conflicts all across the conflict. Even as she is with child.

Digging up Money: Kellen Rist establishes a corporation to further support his archaeological aspirations and fund personal projects, getting backing from Verash Organa who sees value in the endeavor and even offers a few select pieces she would like him to look into for her new collection on Pantora.

Turtling Up: Nudimsu tracks down some nice hardware for personal use while he goes on many adventures with his totally not paramour, Lana Beniko, it's purely, sometimes, nude platonic fun. She becomes mainstay of the Turtle but not a true member, but they have many an adventure. Hacha does Hacha things as the Turtle continues to grow in infamy and importance in the world. Almost as important as the Infinite Destiny, okay maybe more but don't tell them that. The Turtle spends time involved with the Dread Masters conflict serving with distinction. Please ignore the Sith Lord in the corner.

Year of 3644 BBY

The hunt for the Star Cabal for now comes up fruitless but clueless disposable agents that have been left to hang on their own and are curtailed and several operations are purged of the influence, but it seems that this organization has gone to ground.

Especially after the Nar Shaddaa Impasse, agents of House Rist tracked down a potential target and this led to an explosive confrontation between the Cunning Man and Duke Rist, when they finally confronted the enigmatic figure, they found only a holo-terminal and a stunning reveal that their lost sister Vidara Rist was the Cunning Man, knowledge that for now remains with House Rist. She escaped into Wild Space, where rumors hold another Empire waits.

But thanks to the efforts of several prominent individuals in the Republic and Empire the agents of the Star Cabal are forced to go to ground for now, it may be decades before they to resurface and with the Cunning Man, one of their major agents possibly revealed they have suffered heavy setbacks to their plans.

With that settled the war against the Dread Masters reached a denouement over the world of Bankor, but the forces of the Republic bolstered by Jedi Battle Meditation were able to push back the Dread Masters and push them back out of Republic space but the dozens of worlds they controlled are now filled with traumatized and terrorized peoples who may never recover from such pure dread.

Perhaps that was the goal all along.

Not a Sol to Tell: Galen Sol spends time on Tython training with the Jedi to further his skills but still remains independent of the Order. His wife spends her time on the planet exploring ancient Jedi ruins while their son resides back on Alderaan with their extended family.

Changed Man: Daz Hoshin completes his trials by surviving for eight months on a Dread Master controlled world, helping local dissidents fight back but the things he saw and experienced haunt him and eventually draw him to join the Sixth Line Jedi. He begins to minimize his influencer role but old habits die hard.

Year of 3643 BBY

The conflict versus the Dread Masters had consumed much of the resources of the Republic, and although the Empire had consistently disavowed the distrust remains that isn’t just what the Sith Empire wanted in the first place. Still with the conflict behind the Republic by the beginning of the year the people were renewed with animosity versus the Sith, and Senator Saresh’s strong-arm stance versus the Empire was taking root in the Republican Senate and talks of perhaps a preemptive strike versus the old enemy were being floated though the appetite for war was not enough to move the moderates in the senate.

Meanwhile with new elections finished, the freshmen senators, including the young, but distinguished, Niall Organa, were set to bring fresh blood and direction to the Senate and Galactic Republic. The young war hero replacing Crown Prince Gaul Panteer, leaving him to spend more time with his daughter and future queen of Alderaan.

With the Republic having pulled more resources for the conflict with the Dread Masters, pirates had grown bold and their attacks were affecting everyone and growing in intensity. The White Maw operating in and around the Hoth System were becoming increasingly problematic for the Empire and Republic; the Republic lost civilian transport carrying a few thousand refugees called the Baraliner and the Empire suffered the loss of a military escort, the Dark Legion combat frigate, in the region.

In response Darth Baras who was touring the region for dissidents directed a small detachment to pacify the pirates meanwhile a humanitarian mission sent by the Republic was just about to the enter the Hoth system… neither side aware of the other in what is considered contested territory.

The events of Hoth begin here.

Opposite of Wet Dreams: Layne keeps having dreams of her time back on Korriban... or the red wastes and seeing the ghosts of her lineage... are they trying to reach out to her? The dreams always end with her finding Spindral in an icy cave at the top of a mountain.

Not without my Cubs: Breela Po learns that her children may be alive and working as "indentured" servants of the White Maw in the Hoth system.
