The Foulest Crime Of Them All... (D9, EM)

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

... Wrecking a museum. Surely there was no fouler thing than this. Those responsible were probably going to a special hell.

The sight did briefly make Kat think about how much was lost when the temple on Coruscant was raided, but she pushed on. "Professor Rist?" she asked, navigating the damaged area carefully.

At least Alderaan would recover from this, and buildings could be repaired, but some things would be lost forever.

[Kellen Rist]

Kellens eyes were a little bloodshot this morning. He sipped his kaff in his miraculously unscathed chair. Hearing the call he looked up from the datapad. "Over here Jedi Kat." He was reviewing Padawan Yil's list.

As she made her way over, she gave a brief wave. "I'm glad to see you're unharmed, professor, but..." she paused, looking around. "How unforgivable, the damage to the museum and its exhibits."

There was a heavy sigh.

[Kellen Rist]

Kellen smiled briefly. "Well, I wasn't shot or stabbed. Not sure I feel entirely unharmed but here we are." He looked like he had probably consumed rather too much alcohol the previous night, which was understandable.

"I was just reviewing the damage. Padawan Yil is a credit to your order." He set the pad fown. "Bit it would be wonderful to talk about something else. How are you? Kaff?"

"Thank you. Padawan Yil seem to earn much praise, all of it deserved."

The offer of kaff was met with a nod. "Yes please. It's been a rough night... how goes your work?"

[Kellen Rist]

He smiled at the praise for Yil and stood to get Kat some kaff. "I'm hoping to finally put a little archaeological matter to rest today. Then I've got more inventory to work on. We'll need to check the archives. It might just be that of the ignored or sidelined items are the ones that survived." There was a smirk.

"I must admit this Black Circle mystery has been quite diverting. I have enjoyed it rather a lot. Have you made any further discoveries from your end of the investigation?"

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

"Alas, I haven't had much opportunity to investigate further..." not with the whole threat to Alderaan and the royal family hanging over them. "Only the brief communion I had with the Jedi Knight whose lightsaber remains we found at the citadel. But from what she said, I believe the Blackguard mean well... that they're not some corrupt cult looking to create imbalance, on Alderaan or in the Force."

[Kellen Rist]

Kellen nodded, they had all been rather overtaken by recent events. "Well, then that is good news indeed. I am glad that our research paid off with a happy ending."

He poured himself another cup of Kaff too. "So what will you do next? Back to Coruscant to help with rebuilding? Off to Tython perhaps?"

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

"No," she shook her head. "I wish to remain here on Alderaan longer, help with rebuilding and... support my cousin. The betrayal of my uncle hit us all hard, but her the most, I think. She's a strong woman and won't admit it, but I think it will be good for her to have family she can trust and lean on in the coming weeks and months."

Kat sighed a little, partially out of the situation but also from seeing a broken exhibit of some pottery. She remembered that one to be pretty old and fragile.

"I also want to see if some more guidance with the Force can be given to the Blackguard members who possess such abilities. Teach them a safe approach to the Force, that is not the teachings of the Sith."

[Kellen Rist]

The Professor nodded and offered a polite dilemma. "Two worthy tasks Jedi Kat. It sounds like you will be rather occupied, but if you ever fancy a little archaeological exploration? Well. You know where to find me." The smile became a smirk.

"I think I need a long field trip. The museum won't be fixed overnight, and I'm not ready to rush off back to Coruscant any time soon."

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

"What kind of field trip did you have in mind? I am no archaeologist like yourself, but I have a great interest in academia and lore. Perhaps I could be of assistance?" she offered. Sure she had a good education and a wide breadth of experience, but nothing to compare to someone who dedicated their life to a field of study.
