The History of Geography [Day 2, EM]

Galen's day began with research. It was not his favorite activity, but was a necessary one. He needed a better understanding of Alderaan's geography and what significance certain regions might have.

Well...thrice...no...fourth time

That's what happen when you give unfettered access to a museum to a nerd with a mission

The jedi walked in the corridors looking for the proper sections when she Galen looking around for something as well

''Good morning Galen'' She said as she came near ''Looking for something?''

[Galen Sol]

"I thought I'd look into whatever is to the north." he answered. "And, there's a desert or something I need information on."

[Baesal Zyn]

She nods ''Let me help you then. I have access to most of everything for the purpose of the artefact's recovery. What interests you in the desert?''

[Galen Sol]

"The killik told me the hound comes from the deep sands." he explained. "I wanted to know more about that area before searching it."

[Baesal Zyn]

''That beast has a long hunting range. It's concerning''

[Dapper Dog]

"It does." he nodded. "And, it's a relatively recent threat. Which makes me think something happened out there."

Looking through what information the museum could offer gave Galen some new insights.

Galen can pinpoint the best place for a lair and by cross referencing data knows that the site used to be a chemical processing facility for hyperfuel but long since abandoned and relocated to Delaya. There are unsubstantiated unsecure data that the Empire may have used the site as a staging ground during the war.

[Galen Sol]

He shared the information with Baesal.

"That may explain a few things. This will require more than eliminating the hound."

[Baesal Zyn]

She frowns as she hear of this

''Yeah...the Empire usually doesn't give two cents to the local flora or fauna. It is possible the beast hunts far from it's home because something is still disrupting it's natural habitat.'' Dark side mutations are also on the table.''

She stroked her chin thinking

''Dark side mutations are also on the table...but we won't know for sure until the place is checked. If it is okay with you I'll tag along as I know Empire installations and sith sorcery. Perhaps we could ask others form the peace summit?''

[Galen Sol]

"I'll reach out to a few others, too." he said. "The reports suggested this creature leads a pack."

[Baesal Zyn]

She nods

''We will need expert trackers and trappers for sure. I suppose you want the beast alive?''

[Galen Sol]

"I'd prefer it." he nodded. "It isn't at fault. But, it will need to be removed, one way or another, to restore balance to the area. We'll have to see if there are others like it, too."

[Baesal Zyn]

''Restoration can take a long time but it certainly is feasible. We've seen it on Bankor''

[Galen Sol]

"Full restoration will be up to the locals." he nodded. "But, this kath hound and its pack have become the dominant predators in the region. That throws everything off. Containing them will prevent a lot of damage."
