[D1, LM] When the student is ready, the Professor appears

Kellen wasn't sure if it Ghoul was telling him the whole truth, it was always difficult over a comlink. "Hmm, and what 'Witch' would that be? You see, you have guessed correctly. The item has been stolen. The only name on record associated with interest in it is yours cousin."

He paused to let that sink in. "So you can see why I am reaching out to you to get ahead of this, yes?"

“Well that’s easy, that poodoo witch Verash Organa, obviously the bane of my existence! I find a wonderful piece and then the next day it’s in her private collection! A thousand curses on that woman, no ten thousand CURSES!”

He allowed a moment to get his composure and said, “I am sure she is at fault! Though theft seems a very new low!”

[Kellen Rist]

Kellen quickly made a note of the name. "Verash Organa. Very good. That's a start." At least he hadn't mentioned that awful Panteer woman, that would have been a drag.

"I realise you are very busy. But I would be very grateful if you could send me any additional information that might occur to you. Names of new collectors. Any, shall we say, Shady individuals that have expressed an interest in Killik-related items? You have my number." Something else occurred to him.

"By the way. What was it that drew you to that piece in particular?"

[Dapper Dog]

"Like I said, I have my people pick them out, but I think they were drawn to the colors used and the age. I like rare relics," he said honestly.

[Kellen Rist]

"Alright. Well thank you for your time Ghoul. Do let me know if you think of anything else that might help with my enquiries. I will do my best to keep the name of House Rist out of this, but I may have to call you back in the next few days."

Hopefully the Rist connection was just a coincidence. Kellen eould be very annoyed if he had to prise an artifact from the grasp of his own kin, however distant.

[Dapper Dog]

The man ended the call politely.

The young Jedi padawan asked, "Learn anything?"

[Kellen Rist]

Kellen pondered that for a few moments. "Ghoun Rist is a collector of fine art and relics. I am reasonably sure that he is telling me the truth: his people found out about this piece and made an offer." His fingers drilled a tune on the desk.

"I suppose it is still possible that he is connected, but I think it less likely at this point. He did mention a rival collector who seems to end up with the pieces he wants. Verash Organa, does that name mean anything to you?"

[Dapper Dog]

"Oh yeah, she is always coming around and wants this piece or that, she's a business woman on Delaya and most of what she gets goes into her private collection," she responded.

"But stealing? I mean that seems extreme."

[Kellen Rist]

"Right, so probably just professional rivalry between those two then." Thete was something missing here.

"You said the item was in the archive. Has it been on display recently? There must be a reason for Ghoun's people to have noticed it in the first place. Perhaps the person who hired this freelancer you were chasing became aware of it at the same time."

Freelancer seemed an awfully polite euphemism for Thief.

[Dapper Dog]

"I don't think so, I can check but it's part of the things that House Alde find controversial or lack historical merit as they put it," she responded.

[Kellen Rist]

"Thank you Yil. Yes, I think it is rather pertinent to find out how anyone came to know about this particular artifact. If it was not on display, where did Ghoun's people get the description?" He scowled a little at the 'controversial' descriptor.

"Yes, well. That is usually where new discoveries are made."

[Dapper Dog]

"Probably our freelancer, Ulmo Vis, he... has a lot of friends and we suspected he may have been less than the up and up but his prices for his finds were good, but I never thought he would steal from us," she said honestly.

[Kellen Rist]

"Then I suspect that either Ulmo Vis was always intending to steal from you, and hid it incredibly well, or someone made him an offer he could not refuse." Sith? A Hutt Cartel? But who would want to steal a Killik artifact. That suggested an Alderaanian.

"What exactly did you find this morning? Perhaps there is a further clue to be found?"

[Dapper Dog]

"Well we tracked him back to his home but it exploded... Jedi Baesal Zyn handled the rest of the investigation. I am still making calls as this is a rather unique situation," she said honestly.

[Kellen Rist]

"It exploded you say? Good grief. Well, let's think. We have a few options." He started ticking them off. "Firstly we can approach this Verash Organa and ask if they can shed any light on the situation. We could find the local black market and see if anyone has been trying to sell antiquities. I can spend more time in the archives and see if anything else pops out at me. Oh, and then we have your calls and Jedi Zyn."

[Dapper Dog]

"I believe Jedi Zyn is taking the matter into hand, could be best to work with her," she said.

[Kellen Rist]

"Excellent, I shall arrange to speak with her later today. Perhaps you could let her know to expect my call?" He returned his attention to the datspad. "I suppose in the meantime I shall get on with reviewing the museum records to see if anything has been missed. Please do let me know if you need my attention for anything Yil."

[Dapper Dog]

"Of course Professor, sorry for the odd start to the day, I should have expected this," she said sadly.

[Kellen Rist]

"Not at all! I do like an odd start from time to time. Keeps things interesting." He smirked at her over the datapad. "As for expecting this? Well, we place our trust in people. Sometimes they disappoint us, but it may not be their fault. In any case I am sure we will get to the bottom of all this."

[Kellen Rist]

"I will be in touch once I have further information Padawan Yil. Take care for now!" Kellen set off to dig further into the mystery.
