Kellen nodded slowly, this was getting interesting and not in a good way. "Hmm. I see. So, to be clear, this Cunning Man was employed to retrieve the artifact for Alderaan? Do we know the identity of the person who requested the theft of the artifact in the first place?"

[Dapper Dog]

Verash glanced to the Bith who nodded and she said, "I cannot go into explicit details, but this individual put us in touch with a mercenary band... troupe? Irrelevant, they were to intercept, hypothetically, this agent and retrieve this artifact. But somehow murder was employed and the goods are Maker knows where, hypothetically."

"All I can offer is the holonet account name of BlackKat66, my guess is that they double crossed us, if this happened."

[Kellen Rist]

Ah, of course. The old double cross. "I see. Well this is extremely useful context. Perhaps I can track them down using this...anonymous tip. Hypothetically, how much would this mercenary band have been paid to retrieve an intriguing relic?"

[Dapper Dog]

"The normal going price is upwards of twenty to thirty thousand credits," she responded.

[Kellen Rist]

"I see. Well thank you very much for this off the record information. Should I assume that no face to face meetings were held? Or might there be a useful description of one or more of these assorted mercenaries and clever people?" He raised an eyebrow. It was unlikely, but the more info the better.

[Dapper Dog]

"You have it correct," she said.

[Kellen Rist]

"Very well. Thank you again for your time. Your anonymous assistance has been very useful. Perhaps it will help in the timely retrieval of a piece of our history. Much obliged." He nodded.

She ends the call.

Kellen sat for a few minutes thinking through the implications before starting to make a few enquiries.
