''I am a jedi of many intellectual interests, professor Rist, and I thought I made my interest in the vases clear almost a week ago...I am not sure why you thought I would'nt want to see them. I am also under the impression that the three vases together may hold greater secrets so my curiosity only grew...so I shall go with you to visit the countess.''

She then returned to Yil

''I will not demand something that you are not comfortable with padawan. If you don't feel like it it is fine...I thought it could prove to be a valuable experience to see a killik migration in effect. You see I convinced one of the hives to relocate on one of the unsettled planets of the Tython system and I hope to repeat the process with the other ones.''

“Killiks can be terribly territorial, is this a wise thing to introduce them to a new ecosystem? They don’t understand boundaries,” the Padawan replied.

[Kellen Rist]

"So, none then Jedi Zyn. Thank you for clarifying." He gave her a confused look. "You helped to investigate the disappearance of the vase, for which we are grateful. You also then decided to pursue peace with the killiks, which was an interesting idea." He shrugged.

"The vase was returned. To me. You know, the Alderaanian expert in what remains of Alderaanian archaeology." One arm gestured vaguely to the museum. "I examined it and shared my findings out of courtesy. I told you there appeared to be more to the mystery, and now I have arranged to examine the three vases together." Kellen turned to Yil.

"Padawan Yil, as the one who's efforts discovered the vase in the collection you are very welcome to join me."

''That certainly is a valid concern'' Baes replied ''I will endeavor to monitor the hive's behaviors and the presence of other hives will may limit the overall expansions...the project would benefit from someone such as yourself padawan Kumos.''

Then came the other reply

''Professor Rist, I do have qualifications in archeology as I participated and organized expeditions on Tython. I have been fairly open with what I knew thus far and the Order was responsible for the return of the stolen vase. I do not believe my participation in the further study of the vases to be misplaced. Also, the princess did emit an hypothesis about the artefacts I would be interested in verifying.''

Kellen looked at her for a moment and then something just snapped. He burst out laughing. He had to steady himself with a hand on Gil's shoulder. "You...went...on an...expedition? Ahaha. That's a good one. Priceless! Did...did you get a certificate? A gold star? I mean, who needs a degree these days when you have..." He wiggled his fingers dramatically. "...interests!"

Eventually the manic humour left and he walked over to sit on the floor, back propped up against one of the last intact display cabinets. "By the ancestors. We can talk about it tomorrow. It's been a kriffing long day."

[Cynella Andrim]

Cynella stared at the bottle, actually considering partaking for a moment, and then the proceedings. She blinked a few times, stuffed her hands into her jacket pockets, and turned heel.

Gil frowned, and gave Cynella a belated farewell. "Have a fair evening, Lady Cynella." Before turning towards the pair that was bickering.

He was certainly going to place a call to Lady Ulgo in the morning, as well as the local representative of the jedi order. This jedi Zyn was obviously unhinged and someone needed to step in.

"How many hives are we talking? I am all for peaceful coexistence but that requires two parties, Baesal and I am not convinced that killiks see us as anything but possible resources. We really need a much more thorough study before we decide to migrate them," she responded.

Why the hostility? I wonder

''The first hive will be our test study then'' she proposes, returning to Yil ''Their migration will likely relieve some pressure here. With a new territory to expend in the other hives will be less likely to venture near human settlements''

"I guess that is better," she said with a frown.

''I understand it is a risk and I do understand your concerns. I did, however, have several encounters with the killiks thus far and I am hopeful.''

Slowly he stood and looked at the surviving cabinet. It held a pair of some sort of stylised dueling knives with Mandalorian and Alderaanian symbols. The label said: "A Gift from one Warrior to another." Mandalorian duelling knives. Kindly donated from the Private Collection of Dr Lyseil Panteer. His eyes narrowed.

"Gil? I think I need to start drinking again."

"Well, I mean the kiliks being introduced onto a new planet could cause the extinction of several thousand native species over the next few decades. Other then that, well I'm not exactly an expert."

He gestured towards his bag. "Drinking I can help with though." He gestured towards his bag. "Did ya want to stick with Brandy or want something else."
