“Of course I will try,” she said and started inspecting the body grimacing at the dirty nasty work before looking back at Baesal and saying, “It’s not him… this is a female, by the Force what is going on?”

Just then several locals arrive and see the damage and devastation and one shouted, “Did the Jedi do this!”

“No, the Jedi are forces of good!” another called back.

“I saw them, I saw them, they blew the place up!” a woman called back before they start descending into anger and confusion at just what is going on in their sleepy settlement. But the anger is being focused on them.

Baesal frowned...and got a hint of what was going on

''He might have escaped in time...or they got him.''

She closed the eyes of the poor woman before getting up

''Try to see if you can still find a trace of our friend using the force...I'll talk with the locals''

She took a breath and went to meet the assembled group

A cathar woman walked forward carrying what looked like a baby but was just a large domesticated nob hound on her hip. She came with energy in her voice, "Master jedi, your explosion woke up my baby! Now look at her, she is terrified!"

The nob hound just panted with it's tongue lolling out as it kicked it's six legs against her body.

"Oh no are they both," she mouthed the rest but said nothing.

"They were such a nice couple, he had a nice job at a museum and she baked wonderful... well almost as wonderful as me, cakes and pastries. She ran the second best bakery around here. Mine was of course the best, but well I am sorry for their loss."

Baesal focused her senses through the Force (activating sense)

''The husband is not in their house. I might have been captured by those who attacked...did you see or hear anything before we arrived?''

Some murmur about a transport, but it seems sometimes they get late night deliveries for some of the business here locally so they didn't think too much about it. Though it didn't seem like a normal transport now that one thinks about it but it had no visible markers.

"Oh yeah that went I think North... maybe northwest," one person said.

"Definitely west and then north," another answered.

A security officer approached and said, "Master Jedi, is everything okay?"

''We were spared by the explosion but one of the resident is dead and the other missing. We can presume he might have been captured by the vandals who did this.''

"You mean this could have been deliberate?" the officer said with surprise.

''I am certain of it'' Baesal said with confidence ''The explosion acted as a decoy for a shuttle. I did not see it properly but the people here might have details. I am sorry officer but could I importune you by asking you to gather what the people here know? It would prove very useful''

“Of course master Jedi!” he set to work.

After about twenty minutes he comes back with some information, the ship went towards the North it had a local flight manifest as coming from the Organa Space port but it didn’t head back that way. It is registered to a local woman, Padma Buk.

They pull up an address for her in a small settlement called Sun Burst Village, by speeder/thranta probably four to five hours away along the coast.

The knight noted everything down

''Thank you officer. We will follow this lead down...'' she looked around ''Anything we can to to help here before we leave to track this woman down?''

They could handle it from here it seemed.


"I have to get back to the museum and inform them of what happened, and notify... this is not going to be a good day," she said.

Baes turned to the padawan

''I will try to pursue our lead for now as it is still fresh. I'll rent a fast speeder once we go back to the museum.''

She moved to the thranta and texted Daz with the 'deetz' she asked him if he could check the Organa space port databases for the shuttle

Daz replied, "Got it Master, Daz out."

"Right, it's a vase going back to the early period of human settlement on Alderaan. It seems to depict a time when the killiks and humans lived together without conflict, but it's not for sure. More a working hypothesis I had," she offered.

"Old and worth a great deal of money to the right collectors."
