Baesal did not waste time delving into the archives of the house of Alde. She sat at her desk with multiple holo-screens opened, cross referencing encounters, anecdotes, stories, rumors, images of the killiks
She was focused

Blai was rather surprised. Apparenty one of the visitors had heard of him and got his contact. In hindsight... being a researcher at UniAlde, maybe he should expect something like that. He just wasn't so used to the attention, at least not from non-students...
But there he was. He was by no means a specialist in Killiks, but maybe he could share something of use...
"G'day, Miss Zyn! I see you've already delved into some research of your own?"
OOC:
Can I get a Xenobio roll to see how much/ what I would know about the Killiks? Could be here or a roll before the fact to know how much I'd know to begin with. Thanks!

(ooc: ask Dapper!)
The jedi raised her head from her research and recognized the man from his official profile picture
''Professor Frayus'' She stood up an extended a hand ''Good to meet you. And yes...the issue seemed to become more urgent.''

"Ah... just Blai is fine!", he said, waving a hand a bit awkwardly. He wasn't even technically a "Professor", the term was mostly used for full professors... but well.
"Buh well! Nice to meet you, miss Zyn. I... see it in your face! I've heard some stories that the Killiks have expanded their territory here and there, but... Has anything more specific happened?"
He gets his datapad and starts to take a look at some things as he makes his way to a seat at the table.
OOC:
I did! the question was for Dapper

''I came here this morning in the hopes of learning about the killiks to find a way to make peace with them in some way. We found out, however, that a human-killik artefact had been stolen...piece 245-Z to be exact.''
She brought of the pictures of the vase.
''I would be grateful if you could tell me what you know about the killiks, anything, every detail you could think of...and perhaps what you think of the illustration on the vase.''

"Make... peace?" The man seemed to look at Baesal as if a bit lost for a while. Then he seemed to ponder something. Then, finally, he looked at the books on the table.
"I... see, that's not something I've seen suggested often. From what I know, they're..." He shakes his head. "You could say they are almost like a force of nature. Remarkably interesting, quite unique - well, unique as a species, not each of them, they're quite... I'm sure you understand, yeah?", he says with a grin. "But... like a hurricane or maelstrom, they're fascinating, but very dangerous. Something you'd usually want to keep away from. Now... to make
peace with them?"
He seems to consider the illustrations the Togruta showed him for a while. "Now... you think their increased activity is
because of that artifact? And... a human-killik artifact, eh?..."

''They are sentient and despite the differences I am sure something could be reached. The clay vase suggests as much''
She shakes her head at the last question
''They are unlikely to be directly related...but something broke the peace eons ago: finding out what could shed a new light on things.''

He nods. "Right... that does make sense. Just... I wonder if this was peace, or if it was something similar to what they do to some people now?..."
He seemed to think for a while. "Well, one way or another, finding out more about this vase and if something specific is happening now to make them more aggressive would definitely be important."
