(D4, EE) On Tour (open)

[Arsele Girard]

With one thing out of the way, Arsele began on what was the less immediate job. Or at least, she certainly hoped it was. Either way, the start was learning more about the museum, its layout, and what sorts of security it had. That that meant getting to see some nice art and artifacts in the process was certainly a bonus.

So it was that the oldest Girard heir dressed herself up and went to the Royal History Museum, even splurging for one of those holopods that told you about what you were looking at.

[Count Serenno]

The place had become one of the most frequented by the Count; he now occupied a place on the gallery, at one of the pulpits belonging to the library area, studying some holovids. He seemed so engrossed that he might have missed the woman's entry.

[Arsele Girard]

Walking into the gallery she saw someone else was in there and nodded her head at them before her holotape started back up, describing the important items in the room and priceless art. Oddly, the man seemed to be looking at a holovid as well, though not the Tour as such it seemed.

[Count Serenno]

The man noticed her presence and noted it with a respectful nod, but not knowing her pursuit, he didn't disturb her outright.

[Arsele Girard]

Not knowing his pursuit... Arsele wasn't quite so restrained. Holotour paused, she walked up, looking over the man's shoulder curiously as she peered around him.

[Count Serenno]

The holo seemed to be some archival record on Alderaanian dealings with the Killik.

"How may I satisfy your curiosity, young lady?" The man said in polite tone, moving not despite her hovering.

[Arsele Girard]

"Oh, was just curious. Don't often see someone looking so intently at things here in a museum. And you don't look like you work here, unless I'm mistaken."

[Count Serenno]

"Museums are places where the past is cherished, and the past is inherently interesting as it allows us to understand the now, and do something about the future." The man said with a small smile. "You are right, of course. I don't work here. But I suppose what I am doing is a work of a kind."

[Arsele Girard]

"Same."

Standing back a bit she gave a curtsy.

"Not many people in today. I suppose most people want to be out and about, even if some of the festivities have been pushed back."

[Dapper Dog]

OOC: Skullduggery at Hard to case the joint for Arsele. Get a boost die for having the layout.

[Count Serenno]

He stood up as well to deliver a polite greeting. "Count Serenno, a pleasure to meet you." He then smiled a bit. "I've already been out and about today."

[Arsele Girard]

Arsele kept looking around as the Count introduced himself with a nod, "The name is Arsele, a pleasure... Count. Not often I hear people using their titles in public though, and a count at that. Are you royalty on some planet or another then?"

Not that there weren't counts on Alderaan, just none that she recognized as "Serenno", or with people who would put their name ahead of their House.

[Count Serenno]

"I am the ruler of the planet Serenno," He said calmly and matter-of-factly, not taking offence by the fact that the young lady had no knowledge of his world. Ignorance was the privilege of youth. "So, lady Arsele, is there some other curiosity of yours I may be able to address?"

[Arsele Girard]

"Hmmm..."

Well it was true; She'd never heard of the planet. Then again, she knew relatively few planets really, whether that was the Core or the Outer Rim or beyond. Unless it had a good beach for valuables up for grabs, she wasn't particularly interested. She kind of figured it must be a pretty... small world, to be blunt, if its "ruler" was walking about on Alderaan without any bodyguards or anything. And if this "count" wasn't just pulling her leg.

"Oh? First time on Alderaan then?"

[Count Serenno]

"Indeed. I've come for the festival, and the courtship."

[Arsele Girard]

Arsele didn't bother hiding a look of surprise, "What, for the prince and princess and such? Huh. I would think someone who has a planet behind them wouldn't need to duke it out with the riff-raff, no pun intended you understand."

[Count Serenno]

"This is the process the Queen has chosen, and there is no other way for me but to respect it. If any political arrangement is to be built between my world and this one, it has to be done based on mutual respect." He explained.

[Arsele Girard]

A small chuckle, "I suppose so. Forgive me if it seems a bit... weird. Still, if you're game for it, why not I suppose? We all have to play the game sometimes to get ahead in life, even if we'd rather do things more straight-forward."

[Count Serenno]

"This much is true, and not just for 'getting ahead in life'. The forms must be obeyed."

[Arsele Girard]

"Well, they don't NEED to."

She couldn't help a bit of a playful smirk.

"I mean, I could keep following the route this tour is taking me on, or I could head off on my own to explore this place. Of course, that would mean no guide, so I'd have to live with the consequences, but I could do it if I really wanted to."
