"If the Sith weren't a thing I might actually agree with you, if not your methods. But all it takes is *one* of them, and they will subvert and destroy everything. Hell, if you ask me, your little club has probably already been infiltrated with them, if it isn't just a pyramid scheme set up by a Sith in the first place. How many of these cells do you even have operating in the Empire as opposed the Republic?"

“Next time I am on Ziost, I’ll count,” she responded flippantly.

She sighed. "The Jedi serve the Republic, not the other way around. We have influence because of our ideals, because we protect the Republic and its people from people who care about nothing but their own power and ambition. We're not perfect, I know that more than *anyone*. It took me a long time to come around on the Jedi, myself. But *nobody* can be perfect. All we can do is *try* what we can. Try to make things a little less shit. And so far, all I've seen you people do is try to make it *worse*."

“I’ll take your observation under advisement, Jedi.”

[Layne Hoshin]

"Testy," she said with a shrug, "finally getting somewhere though. And if you've really been on Ziost, then you can't tell me you're not aware that there's some rather big differences between us and them. For one, I'm pretty sure you'd be having a lot less pleasant of a time right now if you were in Sith custody instead."

[Dapper Dog]

"A spy is a spy, no matter where you are, Jedi," she responded.

[Layne Hoshin]

"So torture and not-torture at the same to you, then?"

[Dapper Dog]

"You have no idea what your SIS engages in," she responded.

[Layne Hoshin]

"I may have more of an idea than you think," she said, "Still gonna say it's better than anything the Empire would do to you."

[Dapper Dog]

"If that helps you sleep at night," she said not convinced.

[Layne Hoshin]

"If you're not convinced of what I'm saying, then I'd say you don't know the Sith as well as I do. But then, I used to be one... what do I know?"

[Dapper Dog]

“We are well aware of your trajectory,” she said in reply.

“Is your curiosity satisfied? Or do you need to give more speeches?”

[Layne Hoshin]

She sighed.

"I'll leave you alone, for now."

And got up.

"But... I do want you to remember this moment. I want you to remember how a Sith turned Jedi worked alongside the daughter you abandoned, capturing you, tortured you with nothing more than a speech... and then let you go again to do who knows what... based on nothing more than the *hope* that you can change. Think about *that* when you're about to pull a trigger or detonator again."

[Dapper Dog]

"I would say I would try to miss but our tactical data on you says that would be a fatal mistake, but consider me warned," she responded.

[Layne Hoshin]

"It wasn't a warning," she said with a frown, before leaving and closing the door behind her.
