[Day 8 - LA] The Queen and Soldier

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

A huge relief washes over her as Bouris stands down and drops his weapons, and Kat turns off her lightsaber.

Feeling Riss' hand on her shoulder, she reached up and gave it a pat, assuring her friend that the danger was over. For now. Seeing the the injured were recieving the attention they needed, Kat quickly moved to help and looked for prince Joran.

[Delmi Koor]

Gets a text message from <Null> that said, "As test runs go, that was better than expected. I'll be in touch, you owe me."

Delmi would check on Layne and help others in the room first but when she checked her messages she’d reply, “I’ll be waiting.”

[Jocasta Teraan]

The tyrant in shackles, Jocasta rushes to Joran's side while medical staff hurry in and begin stabilizing him.

She walks out beside the repulsor stretcher carrying him, holding his hand.

[Kellen Rist]

Omandri dropped his shield and limped over to his cousin "Hope your day wasn't as exciting as mine." He said with a pained smile."

With the day won he shouldered his rifle and quickly moved to support his cousin. There was a wry smile for Omandri. "Let's just say there will plenty of room for new exhibits at the museum." He paused. "You look...alive." He gave his cousin a big hug.

[Galen Sol]

Seeing that everything was secure and that the wounded were being tended to, Galen departed.

With the day won he shouldered his rifle and quickly moved to support his cousin. There was a wry smile for Omandri. "Let's just say there will plenty of room for new exhibits at the museum." He paused. "You look...alive." He gave his cousin a big hug.

Omandri laughed a little and groaned at the pain in his side "alive is a good word for it. Kriff next time I rush head long into a fight remind me not to." He says grinning, a little blood still in his teeth.

"Ow ow ow" He half complained half laughed during the hug "easy Kellen I was just stabbed and thrown through a wall." He says indicating the hole in the wall "honestly not sure how I survived that, must have been a weak spot in the plascrete."

He saw Riss enter the throne room and gave her a nod and a weak bloody smile as well.

[Kellen Rist]

Kellen eased up on the hug and looked from Omandri to the wall and back a few times. "Wait...what? And you're walking?!"

He gave the man a bewildered look and half heartedly said: "You know, I think the weak plascrete is going around."

[Alysele Organa]

Layne was laying on the ground. Looking very much like she was dead. She wasn't, but *she looked as if she was.*

Tyche was also there. On the ground. Not looking quite as dead but not seeming far off.

Aly stepped through, her blue lightsaber in her hand, alongside...the badge number of a number of Ulgo officers? What for?

"Hoshin. You look bad. New haircut?" She flashed a smile, and knelt next to her. "We'll get you a stretcher soon enough. How can I help?"

[Omandri Rist]

Kellen eased up on the hug and looked from Omandri to the wall and back a few times. "Wait...what? And you're walking?!"

He gave the man a bewildered look and half heartedly said: "You know, I think the weak plascrete is going around."

Omandri chuckled "benefits of healthy living I'll chalk it up to." He sighed a little "it's not over yet though. A lot of people are going to need treatment." He looked at Kellen "You didn't sustain any injuries did you?"

[Riss]

Seeing the opportunity as other rush to different peoples aid. The tension of the moment passed. Omandri being eased out of the hug a bit, a fast approaching Riss came up from behind Kellen.

Leaning in a bit she taps Kellen on the shoulder, and looks between the both of them, "Hey, mind if I cut in? If the doctor will survive another hug that is?" she asks, looking to Omandri with a faint smile.

[Omandri Rist]

Omandri looked down at Riss sharing her look of exhaustion from more than just physical strain He nodded returning her smile "For you I think I can handle it." He said with a touch of mirth "just not too tight."

[Kellen Rist]

Kellen was going to say something but decided the doctor was probably right. "Hmm, me? No, fit as a fiddle." Just the PTSD of seeing much of a planet's history destroyed.

Leaning in a bit she taps Kellen on the shoulder, and looks between the both of them, "Hey, mind if I cut in? If the doctor will survive another hug that is?" she asks, looking to Omandri with a faint smile.

"Oh, hello there?" He smiled faintly and stepped aside. "I'm my cousin the hero would appreciate your hug more than mine." With a smirk he left them to have a moment together.

[Layne Hoshin]

"Hoshin. You look bad. New haircut?" She flashed a smile, and knelt next to her. "We'll get you a stretcher soon enough. How can I help?"

Layne was dead. Or very much looked like it. And like any dead person, she was incapable of responding to the witty comment from someone who should feel terrible for making jokes at a dead person's expense!

[Riss]

"Thank you, gentle sir," she says with a clearly put on air that had slight humor in its intention. Slipping into the space with Omandri she wraps her arms around him. Holding him gently in a big, warm hug. Into it she speaks softer, "I'm glad you're okay," a small chuckle out of relief as she leans up and kisses him on the cheek.

"And that's for being the hero of the hour, mm?" she teases. "Though not sure if there's someone better than me to give it to you. Need to make sure you still get one," she says with a half-chuckle.

[Omandri Rist]

He wraps arms around her gently as well giving her a little squeeze but not too much. He might have blushed if he had the blood to spare for it "Nah just wrong place, right time."

As she kissed his cheek his smile widened as he met her eyes "No one I'd rather get it from."

[Riss]

A brief smile in turn, and she lets him go. Stepping back, "I'll let you get to it for now, mm? Gotta swing around a bit more.. see everyone for myself, give 'em a couple pats to make sure they're actually there," she chuckles, shaking her head.

"Take good care of your hero-cousin over here," she says, giving a nod to indicate Omandri as she looks to Kellen.

Delmi would lean down and pick up the mostly dead woman and make sure she got to the place where she could receive medical attention.

"Your family is alive and well, your highness, and your mother is still queen. Bouris Ulgo has surrendered," Kat clarified, managing a brief smile as she saw how well he was keeping him together.

To help stabilize him, she applied one of her stimpacks to the prince, but would help escort him to the real medical professionals. "Rest easy for now."

“I had a pretty good heroic speech lined up, but old man Bouris Ulgo is no joke,” he said honestly.

“And he just surrendered? Good, I will have to thank Riss for the heads up, guess second time was the charm,” he laughed and regretted it. “Yeah that hurt.”
