[Day 8 EE] No Time for Rest (Open)

Her breathing was heavy. Not for any reason Jerri might like of course; it was just hard to breathe with a big chest cavity that was only in the early stages of healing.

"The Jedi and the Secret of the Big Black Saber, what is thine name oh muse," he said taking her hand. "Surely it must be beautiful, Anastasia? Gianna? Vaoluntari?"

She slowly opened her eyes properly. She wanted to be dead some more. Or well, passed out. But she was awake, and there was a very *weird* conversation happening that she didn't understand.

"...you're that rude guy who thought I was.... Why did you even... you should've stayed where it was safe. Not jump through literal fire."

Cynella, totally unabashed, took off the dress completely. "It'd be a shame to not at least try to have it be repaired." To have such a moral quandary while near naked (at least until she was clothed by something else) was perhaps odd.

"The bigger tragedy, though, is all this. You're right... the Duke's reputation preceded him." She'd seen similar posts about him to the ones she'd seen about Captain Alderaan. "But you're right. I must stay resolute."

"We must always keep hope and look to raise eachother up, my lady," she managed a smile for Cynella, glad to see she was recovering well from it. "That so many of us stood united with the queen, that was Alderaan."

Oamndri looked up from examining Joran and shot a withering glare at Jerri that would put a mother bear to shame "Jerri Organa you leave that woman alone. She very nearly died and needs to rest."

"I don't remember being wrong about..." she wasn't even aware he was still holding her hand, "...I'm sorry, did you say *gratuitous erotic overtones*?"

Kellen blinked. He was not entirely familiar with the type of thing he was seeing.

“I am simply providing her moral support, Lord Rist. My rallying presence can save Alderaan, then it can surely save one heroic Jedi Knight of middling quality but exacting strength and bravery. What she lacks in physical aesthetics she makes up for with sheer brawn and stubbornness,” he said proudly.

"I don't remember being wrong about..." she wasn't even aware he was still holding her hand, "...I'm sorry, did you say *gratuitous erotic overtones*?"

"It is tastefully done of course, not simple Jedi smut you find on the holonet. I work at a higher level of intellectual titillation," he said.

Omandri sighed and walked up to Jerri rolling his sleeves up "Jerri I appreciate all you have done however if you do not leave knight Hoshin alone I will throw you out of this medical center. By force if necesarry." He said glowering to the author.

Jerri would have rested... but...

Omandri sighed and walked up to Jerri rolling his sleeves up "Jerri I appreciate all you have done however if you do not leave knight Hoshin alone I will throw you out of this medical center. By force if necesarry." He said glowering to the author.

"Ahem, I shall vacate your medical facilities Good sir, but know I will be providing a sternly worded letter to House Rist for such rough treatment. And it will be SCATHING!"

He added, "Till next we are reunited, Jedi Knight... Hoshin." He departed.

[Layne Hoshin]

"...am I hallucinating?" She asked once silence returned.

[Omandri Rist]

"Be sure to do that." Omandri said with a sigh "No Layne you're just alive. Barely but you and your padawan will be ok. But a bit of bed rest is certainly in order. I need to check on the prince but I'll be back with you."

he went back to checking on the prince in his care.

Jameela arrived with a more healed Unther at her side and house guards. She said, "How can I help?".

Omandri finished the two critical patients and bowed briefly to Jameela wincing only slightly "Thank you Princess. Help tend to the more lightly wounded with Galen that would be helpful. Knight Ulgo and I should be able to handle more serious cases and we don't need people getting infections because they left a dirty cut untreated." He said confidently and perhaps more commanding than proper considering relative stations but he was worried about bigger things.

"Princess?" Galen approached. "There are a number of people who have been burned or suffered minor breaks."

"Let's see what we can do Galen," she said warmly feeling better seeing him well once again.

He returned the smile. "I am sure we can help them, together."

Joran was resting, his eyes closed but he was bearing it well.

Omandri focused in on the prince, he had been through the wringer and that stomp had broken more than one bone. Omandri went in stitching up what he could, wrapping what needed it, and setting what needed setting. With everyone pitching in it was much easier. After all the work that could be done was done Omandri nodded put the tools in the disinfection tray. Pulled off his gloves and tossed them into the waste bin. "He should heal up fine and be back to princly duties in no time" he said to Jocasta "if you'll excuse me."

With all the emergency cases taken care of Omandri walked out of the triage room and found a space away from everyone. He finally slumped against the wall and sank to sit on the floor he wanted to scream, to cry, to do anything but he felt too drained, too tired. He just......needed to rest for a moment.

Kat patted Omandri on the shoulder, a silent way of letting him know she could handle things for the moment for him.

It had been a rough day for everyone, but she would keep things up. Be there to help the people, that was what Jedi did.

And Aurilie was here too, after following Kellen and Galen, looking a bit worse for wear after the incident at the museum. She thought they would be charging the castle halls blasting the usurpers on the way but the number of wounded did things into perspective in very short order for her. This was something very orchestrated and there was a barrage of chaos throughout the festival. At least now she didn't have to think about how to get to the ball after getting shot.
