[Day 8 EE] No Time for Rest (Open)

After a while the doctor appeared again looking more composed and put together than previously, a determination on his face that shifted into a friendly smile as he went about checking on people and making sure everyone was OK.

"Aurilie?" He said coming around and seeing the Prince of the Mount "were you injured this afternoon too?" He asked ready to direct her to a free space for treatment.

"Oh, Mister Rist..." she said when Omandri approached her and she tried to put up a facade of coolness about her, despite her wounds. There was an image to maintain around good company. However, she could only do that for so long before she sank her shoulders and winced at the pain. It was perhaps a bit hard to hide with her slightly burnt and bloodied blazer jacket. "...Yes, I'm afraid. I had been strolling the museum and found myself in the middle of a coup attempt, as I'm sure like many of these fine and helpful people have today. It's a common theme. While I wasn't the target, that didn't stop them from shooting at me. I gathered that I became part of a packaged deal."

"You've been shot!?" He exclaimed not loudly just incredulously at the casual nature of her words. "Come on let's get a look at it, where did you get hit?" He said as they moved to a free space and he regloved his hands readying himself to ply his trade once again.

Aurilie blinked back at the doctor, surprised that he found that surprising with all of the injured people around them. She mustered a small smile and nodded. "Yes, and I suppose had some glass tossed my way too. The damnable thugs managed to get me square in the side before I could even get the first strike."

She nodded and made her way over to the designated free space before she sat down with a groan. "Ooof..." Now that the urgency and adrenaline were wearing off, it did admittedly hurt to move so freely. She took off her blazer and vest so that the good doctor could get to work, lifting anything out of the way. It was likely that he had done a good share of rounds here, she assumed. The least she could do was make things a bit easier.

"...Do you think they'll still hold the ball tonight?" she asked curiously.

He was surprised she been shot and more surprised that she was pretty calm about it. Most people don't take a Blaster round and casually talk about the evenings entertainment. He shook his head with a little smile which fell into a line of focus as he examined the wound.

"Honestly considering there was a coup, extensive damage to the festival grounds and other places I doubt it." He looked up to her with a grin "I'll have to wait to see your ballgown another time." He then thought "or would you wear a suit? I feel like I mostly see you in suits."

It wasn't her first time getting hurt but it was perhaps her first blaster round, admittedly. Nevertheless, any prince had a certain image to return, like any royalty. Perhaps she had been inspired by the Queen's decisiveness earlier. Or she just didn't want to concern some of the other people here. They had enough problems already. "Mrm. Thank you, is...I should say, Doctor Rist, really. You know, I had wanted to see more of your skills and knowledge abroad first hand but this wasn't quite the way I imagined it. However, it does allow me to speak more personally about your talents."

She chuckled softly at the question. "Admittedly, I hadn't worn a ballgown in some time...and I did have my tuxedo ready for the occasion. Good thing I wasn't wearing it at the time. But, I just wanted to make sure. Last I saw of the Queen, she was ready to handle business. If that meant moving back to business as normal, then I guess we would have little choice on the matter. That said, I think people would do better without needed to avoid debris and shrapnel on the dance floor."

"We must always keep hope and look to raise eachother up, my lady," she managed a smile for Cynella, glad to see she was recovering well from it. "That so many of us stood united with the queen, that was Alderaan."

Cynella nodded, happy to be all patched together. "Thank you, both of you. It wasn't that bad of a stab wound after all... guess I best get used to it more if I ever do join the military, huh?"

She redressed herself and smiled, hands on her hips. "Okay! In the spirit of said unity, please allow me to help. Though I don't know much about medical stuff, I did have a lifeguard job when I was a teen." Really, that pool had been quite safe and well-monitored. Anytime she did have to save somebody, it'd been the sheer force of muscles and not CPR that'd done the job.

He examined the wound more closely "Well it got you pretty good, I'm surprised you're not in more pain but with adrenalin wearing off I'm sure that'll change." He reached for a local anesthetic "I'll need to really get in there this will help with the pain." He said giving her an injection before going to work clearing and cleaning the wound so healthy tissue could do the rest. When he was finished he would slap a piece of synthflesh on "hope you weren't hoping for a cool scar cause I don't think there will be one. Should heal fine on its own. Feel free to redress when you feel ready."

"As for handling business I doubt we'll be back to normal anytime soon. There are repairs to make and charges to be filed. A lot to figure out." He said as he disinfected everything and took his gloves off "keep an eye on that though and give me a call if anything weird happens or if you just want to get a drink sometime." He said with a smile as he looked back out to the room to see if anything needed done.

One of the guardsmen had flicked her on the ear telling her to, 'go get those bullet holes looked at.' But after all she'd been through she felt it unnecessary, instead offering to help by parsing out supplies where needed. Honestly I'll take the pain over the icky feeling of more kolto in my veins, any day of the week.

Omandri has gotten a return smile before, of course, and when she appeared again it was a similar occurrence as she looks on from behind Aurilie while Omandri works. Waiting for the opportunity when he finishes to get herself in close with the Prince of Joral herself. Hands laid down in her lap as she sits on something that wasn't meant as a seat but functioned well enough as one.

When Aurilie would perhaps eventually turn to see her, she'd be caught wearing a tired but guilty expression.

He returned the smile. "I am sure we can help them, together."

"I know we can," she agreed and got to work helping the people.

Soon enough they'd probably both be running around again. Against doctor's orders. But for now, they were both just relaxing as best they could.

Aurilie grimaced but did her best to remain in good spirits as she forced out a chuckle. "To be honest, I think I'm already starting to feel it, now that you've pointed out."

After the anesthetic was applied, she felt a bit more at ease and would undress as needed when she heard it was going to be far more serious than a simple stim and go. While toughing it out might have been cool, it provided her better relief once the wound was tended to.

"Thank you, doctor Rist," she said once he was done and got to dressing. "I guess there goes my conversation piece at the next beach party. I get the feeling that justice will be done in short order, especially knowing the parties involved. They were more obvious than their reasoning, I think they were really banking on there being no survivors. But I digress, drinks are very much owed for your help!"

When she caught sight of Riss, her gaze quickly went down on her to see if she was injured too. With so much chaos in the afternoon, she feared that Riss was targeted too. It wasn't too long ago when Riss had the same threat. She would ultimately find some relief in seeing in good health.

"Riss..." She said with a tired but happy smile as she reached out to take her hand and pull her in closer before putting the arm around her shoulders. While she didn't know what she felt guilty about right now, she gave a kiss atop her head.

"Hey Aurie," she says, a slight half chuckle as she smiles a touch warmly though the smile fades. Taken in, it was easy enough to slip an arm or too around Aurie in the moment, a quick hug.

"Before you tried.. I shoulda, there was time to-" she stammers through a bit, not quite getting to her point.

"Ouuph..." she would say at the return hug, feeling a bit of aching from the wound in the process. Not that she was complaining, it was fully worth it.

"Oh, yes..." she said with a sigh, her expression looking a bit dejected as she recalled that moment not too long ago. It did feel like a rather long day for more than one reason.

However, Aurilie didn't seem too hurt about it for long as she gave her friend another squeeze with a kiss on the cheek. She didn't need all the words immediately if Riss was trying to find them.

[Blai Frayus]

Blai had heard of the effort to help those wounded during the incidents, and while it took some time to get here as he decided to stop by at House Frayus after the whole thing, there he was as well. He looked relatively unharmed and found he could concentrate better again, but his head was still ringing.

Seeing Galen, Jameela, Riss, Cynella and many of the others he'd spent time with during the festival safe, most at least relatively he waved at all of them with a wide smile, the relief clearly stamped on his face. It was clear many others were injured and needed medical attention, though, so he offered to help however he could - although clearly Omandri and others were already doing a very good job, and his experience, especially with humans, was more limited than others'.

He's got another Physician's kit, grants one boost and one advantage in case the check is successful. Not sure if that helps, as apparently there's one around already.

"Ringing head could mean a concussion, which should be looked at before you attempt to sleep. Concussions are more dangerous than they often feel like." She said firmly but with some friendliness in her tone still.

"Blai it is then, as long as you call me Katarzyna, or Kat, as my friends tend to do. Ok. Just... relax, take it easy. I'll check your vitals and such, alright? Then take a closer look at that head."

Omandri had just finished and wanted to leave Aurilie and Riss to talk since it seemed to be a more personal matter. He turned to see Kat tending to Blai and nodded approvingly "Well Kat we could make a doctor out of you yet, if you were interested of course." he said with a smile
