She thought she'd been more than reasonable at the estate as well, but she wasn't going to argue the point. There were more important things to talk about, at least.

"Well, we already knew that name," she said. She was sure she'd mentioned it. Hadn't she? At the meeting? "One of the people involved. The agent we apprehended a few days ago? Killed a Hutt that we knew was working for the Cunning Man, before we could get to him. Probably the one that nabbed the SIS agent too; or, made it happen anyway. I don't know if they're the leader of this cabal, or just middle management compared to these others... but he's obviously got quite the reach."

She was quiet for a few moments. "Part of me still suspects it might be Baras playing some sort of long con... but that's probably just my paranoia talking."

Omandri listened and gave Layne a small grin "You? Paranoid, I don't know I can't imagine it." He said teasingly leaning against a wall.

"Well I guess next step for me is to call this Cunning Man and see what he knows about Vidara. Maybe could arrange a meet up to see if you can capture him but if he's smart that'll be hard."

''Might be one of Bara's creation...but I doubt he would let something like this get to autonomous'' she frowned thinking ''Though he might be aware of them...perhaps why he ordered Galen Rist killed.''

"It's possible. I always just assumed it was tying up some loose ends. Some asset of his who had stopped being useful and become a liability. That's most of the people I dealt with for him."
