Ghostbusters (D4, MM Roost)

[Delmi Koor]

She grabs Layne and pulls her towards the speeder.

She then turns her eyes back onto her mother in a stare of destiny as the wind blows her hair in dramatic fashion.

Hey there… Ma.

[Dapper Dog]

She sees a sporty speeder leave that tower at a higher elevation at obviously high speed in a different direction. A devaronian male looks out from his air-speeder and shouts, "What the kriff are you doing!"

The wail of his engine almost drowning out his words.

[Delmi Koor]

Delmi watched the speeder fly away before turning her attention to the man.

“Sorry, Jedi business.” She said with a nod in the direction of the woman with the laser sword.

“Mind giving us a ride down to the ground?”

[Dapper Dog]

He nodded and drove to a waiting platform and parked still probably over a thousand meters above the ground in this busy city.

[Layne Hoshin]

"Thanks," Layne said as Delmi lent her a hand, then glared in her usual manner when Jedi business was mentioned.

"So... that just happened."

[Delmi Koor]

“Sorry about the trouble…” She said to the man after jumping off the speeder.

She bid him a brief farewell and nodded to Layne. “I fuckin’ hate spies…”

She gestured with her chin in the general direction they fled.

“That’s my mom by the way. The one in the picture…”

She spit out a bit of blood onto the platform that had collected in her mouth and stabbed herself with a stim pack to get the regenerative juices going.

[Layne Hoshin]

"Well, at least we know one of our supposedly dead people is still alive," she said, then took out a couple of stimpacks. Jamming herself in the leg with one. "Here," she said, holding out the other one. "Not as good as a real doctor, but should hold you over if we're heading to the other place."

She looked up, surveying how much of the damage could be seen from all the way down here, then looked at the piece of rubble with the residue on it.

"Nabbed this, looks like it may have some chemical compound traces on it. Assuming your contact isn't compromised, they might be able to analyze it and get us something more."

“I’ll send it to the trustworthy one. The one who gave us this address isn’t exactly the most reputable guy… he’s got his own agenda that he’s pushing at.” She replied.

Delmi took the offered stim pack and jabbed it in her other arm.

“He’s unfortunately also the one who gave us the name of the Hutt at the Casino here… Says the Cunning Man is tied to him.”

Delmi turned to look at Layne, “You ready to ignore my mom’s advice? Keep digging up the dead?”

"I mean," she said, shrugging, "might as well, right?"

She looked back up. "You don't think that explosion hurt anyone else living on that floor... right?"

Layne supposed the local authorities were already in motion trying to establish exactly that. By the time they could get back up there, droid teams and what not would probably already be on scene. And then they'd have to answer annoying questions and what not.

"Anyway. You sure you're good to go? If this turns to shit, we already got shook up so we won't be at our very best when we walk in there. If you need some more stims or what not...plus you know, finding out your mom's still alive and just tried to kill you? You *sure* you're good to go?"

[Delmi Koor]

Delmi chuckled and nodded. “I got more stims.”

Then paused and continued, “And odd as it seems that explosion cleared my head. I grew up wanting to kill that woman… Then in the past couple of days I started to think maybe I could talk to her… figure out who and what she is…”

She gestured to the building still smoking, “She showed me real clear the type of person she is. People like that are dangerous… and it’s people like me’s job to take out people like that.”

[Layne Hoshin]

"Well, ideally we'll be able to take her in alive. I don't think anyone should have to kill their own family, no matter how terrible they are. I doubt that's something you can just put past you once you've done it. Besides, she could stand to answer a few questions."

She rolled her shoulders, did some quick stretches to make sure everything was in working order; and did a quick equipment check as well just for good measure.

"Well, I'm still a little sore, but I'd rather not overdose on stims because of something like that. I think I'm good to go. You want to establish some sort of plan and method of approach?"

“We’ll bring her in if we can… but I know types like that don’t tend to come in easily. Especially if they have somebody their more afraid of behind the curtain…” She replied.

“You got any ideas? He’s a Hutt running some type of not-so legitimate business… What do we have that he could be interested in enough to meet us…?”

[Layne Hoshin]

"I don't really have anything like that," she said with a shrug, "I'm used to just plowing my way through. Glare angrily at people to let me through, and if they say no then I dare them to stop me. But if this casino is open for business that might not be a... uhm.. good look."

She frowned. "If I had Tyche with me, getting in would probably be really simple. But unfortunately she's back on Alderaan. I *have* been to Delaya before... there's some people from my network here... I don't think they're really be a huge help, but I *could* ask them for some useful intel. No idea how long that would take, though."
