[D9 MA] Triple threat

It was finally time to take Countess Verash up on her offer. Kellen had a few new ideas about how to tackle the finsl investigation having spoken to Ghoun. Of course there was also a strong possibility that Ghoun was full of bantha poodoo, as Pimbo Boxy would have put it. Mostly he was just glad that Gil had agreed to come. Kellen always got into trouble without his dependable friend.

So the two Rist representatives and the two Jedi arrived on Delaya, again. Kellen was about to say something about explosions, but decided against it. "I never thought I would be grateful for a private collector. First time for everything I suppose."

Baesal wore her jedi robes but she had carried some devices dedicated to analysis with her. Her red tinted tech goggles rested on her forehead, just below her headpiece.

''Odd thing indeed''

She started this she might as well finish it, explosions and all. But hopefully no explosions.

[Kellen Rist]

He looked around for speeders full of mercenaries. Of course he trusted Gil to take care of any such trouble. Turning his attention to the group his expression became serious.

"Now. The Countess knows me and she knows Padawan Yil. We all survived a mercenary attack together. I have negotiated the attendance of Jedi Zyn as an observer along with my trusted friend Gil. If you give her a reason to dislike or distrust you then she will simply bar you from entry. We are entering her domain here, so her rules. I might have been annoyed about that before the Alde museum was mostly destroyed. So it goes. I will be leading the analysis of the artifacts."

He looked at the skyline. "The Countess has her own security but please be alert for trouble."

Baesal simply gave a nod of understanding.

Finally they could see what was behind those urns

"Got it, professor," she said as the sun begins to set on Delaya. Verash Towers come into view as the air speeder approached.

The skyline was quite beautiful again tonight. He still preferred Alderaan, or at least thought he did. There was a bit of doubt there now after the coup attempt and the destruction of the museum.

"Sometimes a vase is just a vase. I hope that's the case here." He smiled faintly.

Baesal had been looking over the skyline when the professor made that odd remark. She turned her head towards him with a quizzical look

''I am sorry? What do you mean by that?''

[Dapper Dog]

The air-speeder parked on her private landing pad, the group having been given clearance as they approach. Organa guards escort them towards the building and towards the fourth floor of this lavish suite condo of Verash Towers, this spire gave a great view of the city planet.

Inside they find Verash seated across from a couple of mercs with Ghoun Rist who seemed in good spirits. Verash did not share his mirth but did not seem perturbed either.

Gil kept his silence from the back of the group. He'd come ready for trouble, though it was of the nonetheless variety with his blaster set to stun.

He kept an eye on the various groups as they landed and approached.

Baesal had been looking over the skyline when the professor made that odd remark. She turned her head towards him with a quizzical look

''I am sorry? What do you mean by that?''

"That it would be nice if these vases turn out to simply be vases. I came across a few crackpot hypotheses in my investigations you see. No evidence though." He shrugged.

When they arrived in Verash Towers Kellen smiled when he saw both Verash and Ghoun were present. The view really was impressive.

"Hello there, it is good to see you both putting your differences aside. Thank you again for allowing this research to take place Verash. With the damage to the museum, I hate to say it, but it really was for the best that the vases ended up here on Delaya." He gave her a sheepish grin.

Baesal...was'nt sure what to expect. Ghoun Rist...a criminal type by the looks of it.

[Dapper Dog]

Ghoun rose and said, “I insisted that I be here for the investigation so you can prove my theory correct! Then I am going to give the Countess an offer she can’t refuse and we will save Alderaan from the meddlesome killiks. I promise no more violence, just good old fashioned credits.”


Verash said, “As soon the Professor finishes his research, or whatever he is doing you and your goons will be thrown out, Ghoun.”

[Baesal Zyn]

Baesal glanced at the professor but said nothing for now.

Getting rid of the killiks? Glad I came

Ah, so it was like that. Kellen's smile didn't faulter. To be honest he didn't think that much of his distant cousin but family was family.

"I am very grateful for your hospitality Countess. We shall see if your strange hypothesis is correct Ghoun. Based on some follow up research I suspect you will be disappointed but who can say? It is a weird and wonderful galaxy after all."

He looked at the small group he had assembled and then back at Verash. "No time like the present. Let's take a look at the set, I'm sure the Countess would like us out of her hair."

''Professor, would you take umbrage if I assist your analysis?''

Kellen looked up at Baesal and shook his head. "Not at all. Perhaps your keen Togruta senses will notice something we humans might miss. Padawan Yil can help too."

He unrolled his tools and pulled out his datapad to access his notes. As the small Team worked away together they might find something advantageous...

Gil watched the work. He was pretty certain that the vases were just vases, I mean sure maybe if they were lamps something might happen.

Or trunks? He'd heard of magic trunks. Not vases though.
