[LE9] The Countess and the Privateer

It was a classic look. The long overcoat. His old Pantoran defense force officer's pants and boots. A simple tunic. He wasn't the retired senator. Or the military leader.

No, here he was, the smuggler and privateer. The scoundrel. His hair was artfully messy, giving a youthful appearance. The cascader was left on the ship.

Durasay found the ride on the turbolift to her condo quietly contemplative. Breathing in slowly as the floors swooshed past. He could look out the transparisteel over the city that was Delaya. Breathtaking, in it's own way.

Eventually, the turbolift would reach it's destination, a ding that he had arrived.

Verash Towers are a posh set of structures for House Organa in this sector of Delaya, and her suite is near the top on the 854th floor with its own landing pad for her private shuttle and air-speeders. Durasay is allowed entry into the palatial multi floor suite, the droid house servant guides him to her private collection which encompasses all of the fourth floor.

A table with light refreshments is setup and she smiled and said, “Durasay, welcome to my private collection.”

"It's an honor, Verash." He thanked the Droid for the escort before looking to her. His eyes seemed to brighten upon seeing her, and the Pantoran stepped across the floor towards her. He didn't bother looking about, not yet, not until she decided what the focus would be on. For him, he was here for her. "I'm glad to be here."

[Dapper Dog]

"I am pleased you are here," she reached for his hand, "I don't just invite anyone to my personal collection."

He took hers gently, standing before her. The salesman wasn't here. He wasn't trying to secure a job, or lend aid. He was here simply to be. "Thank you. It means a lot that you would share something so private with me." His voice a hushed tone.

"The vista on the way up was breathtaking."

"There are lots of wonderful views, the night is young," she said kindly. "I was concerned when I heard there was some kind of incident on Alderaan, it sounded rather severe. I was relieved when the Queen made an appearance earlier today on the news and that the situation is handled but still it was alarming."

[Durasay Mixo]

"I don't think the coup was counting on visitors being more than tourists." He replied, rather cooly. "I wad at the Spaceport during the incident." Durasay seemed almost sheepish now. "The Turtle may have leveled the control tower. Something about stopping a Slicer."

[Dapper Dog]

“Well most tourists don’t try to play hero during a bloody insurrection,” she said with a laugh as she poured drinks for them both. “The Turtle is a remarkable ship, I am not surprised members of her crew were involved in keeping my home free of tyranny.”

[Durasay Mixo]

"I wouldn't say anyone was playing hero. Just doing what anyone would that cares about what the Republic stands for." He smiled, before thanking her for the drink. "The assault was cowardly, using the festival to strike while every one was distracted. If he had felt he was the right fit, the people would have chosen him."

[Dapper Dog]

"I am not going to try to understand him, it failed and that is all that matters. Maybe you live in a different Republic but most people don't throw their lives into danger for the good of the state," she said smiling at him with a shake of her head.

"It does not matter, just stay with me and let's enjoy what time we have, together."

Durasay smiled back, stepping so he was toe to toe with her, looking to her eyes. "Maybe most people don't. I've never been most people, though." His voice lowered, tilting his head slightly.

"You're right. That's all in the past. I'm here for you."

"The greatest prize of my private collection," she teased before she unleashed her passions.
