Alderaan - Love and Intrigue

As a Rist, Kellen was no stranger to the seedy underbelly of Alderaan. It had occurred to him that if anyone was going to be shifting artifacts and relics then a certain group of people would probably know about it. So he set out to find where they were operating these days.

His contacts have directed him to Wokki's Wok House, a stir fry place specializing in regional Toydarian foods. It has a counter and behind that the cooking area with a droid serving the food.

It's greasy and quick.

"Mmm, smells delicious!" His insides were going to get quite the workout. He carefully checked the menu, walls, and counter for any tell-tale indications. Sometimes the easiest way to hide something was in plain sight. "May I take a look at the specials?"

The droid says in a voice mimicking a toydarian, "You uh want the lunch specials or the manager's Special?"

With a smile at the droid's accent Kellen said: "Oh, I hear the manager has excellent taste. I'll have a look at the Manager's Special thank you."

The droid works something behind the counter and he hears the door to the back kitchen open.

"Right through the door to the buffet, enjoy your stay," the droid added.

"Thank you very much, I will!" With a polite nod to the droid and the management's likely hidden camera, Kellen walked through to the 'buffet'. He was glad of the added protection his jacket provided, although he wasn't anticipating any problems at this stage. Otherwise he would have asked Gil to join him.

Just inside is a wookiee with one eye, standing well over 2 meters in height with a vibro axe. Beyond him are people selling all kinds of illegal goods and in the center is a woman sentient who seems to be in an intense game of pazaak against a furry strange short humanoid.

Kellen nodded politely to the wookie and started to take a look at the wares. He was particularly interested in any local artifacts or relics. Occasionally he let his attention be drawn to the game of pazaak.

He sees a variety of local relics, or they look real but probably fake... he would need to examine them.

Noting the possible relics Kellen approached the stall and smiled at the owner. "Oh, very interesting. Mind if I take a look? I've seen similar pieces before. I can think of a few people who might like this sort of thing."

The human male said, "Break it you bought it."

"A fair and wise approach to artifacts. One I have taken myself actually." He'd said the same thing to many nervous undergraduates in fact, but that was by the by. He started checking over the pieces, handling them with expert care.

Well damn, if these were fakes they were very good. At least something very useful came of his efforts though!

OOC: They seemed real but not in the best condition, well one was fake but the creator had done good work to make it look very legit.

Kellen nodded at the quality and smiled at the fake. "Do you get many people selling these sorts of pieces? Or perhaps even more unusual items?"

He shrugged and said, "I am just move the merchandise, what is your pleasure, sir?"

"Oh, I'm interested in old Killik relics. I heard that Janeq Bu has a line on some of the best items." Kellen looked around the stalls, eyes settling on the pazzak game again for few moments. "Maybe you've heard the name?"

"I would like to think sssso, ssssshe issss me," the woman said in accented Basic having finished her game.

"What old relicssss are you interessssted in?"
