“Alright everybody… let’s be quick. Let’s be efficient. And let’s kick some ass!” Delmi gathered the group together for their pump up cheer before each took their position on the field.


As soon as the starting bell rang Delmi began laying down cover fire all over the field of play… The defense couldn’t get prepared in time before the hail of bolts broke their formation…

“Go Joran go!” It was a quick goal for team Joran.

Delmi was as cool as the other side of the pillow as she did it too… The ultimate team player… giving of herself for the benefit of the team.

Luna gets in formation with Yula, locks eyes with an opponent, makes damn sure they know they're about to... have some sort of violence done to them or something...

...and then she goes somewhere else entirely while they brace for impact.

Instead, Luna gets the chance to drive deep into enemy lines, stun stick finding its way where it can do the most harm in a beautiful display of finesse and violence, opening a path for her teammates until...

WHAM!

Luna was trained combat trained. But only in classical fencing and dueling. Not getting shoulder checked from both sides by people twice her size.

The Devaronian is carried off the field.

She thought this was an "exhibition" match, but after seeing her newly acquainted teammate Lunael get stunned so brutality that she had to be carried off the field, Jocasta knew it was getting serious.

Regrouping with her now diminished team, she reassessed the field and made some quick decisions on positioning. "Yulastranza, split the front and wing, Joran, protect your wing, Delmi, cover from the rear and defend with me. Nudimsu, you float center and look for openings."

Her gameplan didn't advance their offensive, but it did shore up their defense.

Yulastranza burst forth with the might of a Thraxxian Bear and began punching any opponent she could find. She unfortunately lost track of the ball for a bit and the other team scored… Her efforts, however, paid off when Team Joran regained possession and one of the opponents couldn’t get there in time to stop Joran from retaking the lead.

The loss of one of their forward was making this a bit tougher for them, having to pick up the slack for their fallen comrade. It was a hard hit to someone so...pink. Really, really pink. Did not realize her people got that particular shade, to be honest.

Didn't matter. He snuck around the field with ease and appeared at the right moment to strike the keep passing the ball.

He took a late hit form that kick and fell to the ground, a little bit winded. Still, he got up and kept going.

Team Joran was starting to get pushed back… playing a woman down was just a bit too much it seemed.

The team called timeout and Delmi looked around the group.

“Alright we gotta shift things up… play a little risky otherwise we will lose in the grind.”

She panted with a smile on her face, “Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Joran you go deep. I’ll toss the ball up and shoot it mid air until it gets to you and you score. You two… cover me.”

They broke their huddle and tried to execute their crazy play… Delmi tossed the ball up and shot it once… twice… and thrice right into the hands of the opponents who ran it back for a score.

She smiled and laughed at herself shaking her head at the craziness of the idea. She thought she saw Joran smiling too on the other end.

The Thul team was starting to press their advantage and the match was tied. Jocasta hadn't watched much Huttball in recent years, but she did remember an old play for disadvantaged teams.

With a quick huddle, they went into the play. She had intended for Joran to be the playmaker, but the other team realized they were favoring the Prince and doubled up on him. Calling an audible, Jocasta passed to Delmi, who scored to take back the lead.

Seeing the she was organizing the team, the opponents started to put more pressure on Jocasta.

Yulastranza seemed committed to wearing down the other team... No matter the cost... And unfortunately in this case it did cost them a goal when she got tunnel vision on the ball carrier who lateralled the ball to his teammate at the last second.

Joran tried hard... had some fun... but ultimately being a man down was a tough obstacle to overcome for the team.

Team Joran fought nobly… but there was just one too many players on the other team. Delmi’s next shot at heroics came up short again as she started to feel some of the wear and tear of the game.

So… score is 3 to 4 for our opponents. And Nudie has one bonus for our final roll.

Well, it was over at this point and they couldn't recover. Still he wanted to give them a show, at least. He maneuvered thru the field, at least trying to tie the game, dancing thru the the opponunts like they were nothing to him. They couldn't keep up with his quick feet work. The clock was ticking, everything was on the line for this last charge and he...just falls short of the buzzer! The game is over!

Though not letting go of that near tie, there's a massive late hit at the end of the game that sends Nudmisu flying to the ground hard, knocking the wind out of him and making him taste the dirt for his hard work.
