[Day 5 - EE] Nothing stronger than family

[Dapper Dog]

Tera smiled looking at the sleek ship and then over to the Syresh noble giving them a tour of his wonderful toy. Bo grinned enjoying the tour as they made their way down the ramp and the Syresh noble said, “Now strangest thing we got ourselves a note that you were coming and something about trying to rob us? But you have been mighty nice and pleasant.”

Tera said, “I am misjudged all the time, I am just so thankful that my strong man, Bo stands up for me.”

The sleek ship was on one of the many landing pads available on the luxury cruiser.

[Kellen Rist]

Kellen was leaning back against a railing looking at the ships docking with the cruiser. He had been chatting, dancing, and avoiding too much alcohol. The plan was to visit Delaya later so he was staying sober. It wasn't an Academic conference, so no need to be drunk to be able to bear talking to the other guests.

Something caught his attention about the new arrivals. Maybe it was the comment about "robbing". After the last few days of chasing and reclaiming relics he was a bit tuned in to theft. He walked closer and raised his glass. "Beautiful evening isn't it?"

A slim man wearing Syresh colors with a powdered white wig smiled and said, “Good day, you must be of House Rist? Lord Pendington Syresh the Third, I was just showing this lovely couple my newest acquisition. I call her Toretto, after my late son.”

“Is she not a beauty?”


The woman said with an Imperial accent, "It is divine, I just love the ship and I am so thankful for the tour."

[Kellen Rist]

Kellen bowed his head in acknowledgement, his noble's outfit was in House Rist colours of course, and cut to a standard befitting a nephew of the Dutchess.

"Oh splendid! Yes Lord Syresh, I am Professor Kellen Elijah Rist. That is a rather marvelous looking ship. Sorry to hear of your loss." He gave an understanding look. Alderaan had lost many people in the war.

He gave the woman and her 'Bo' and friendly smile. "Pleased to meet you." Of course he was also thinking: Now what's all this about robbing Lord Syrush?

[Dapper Dog]

“Lord Rist, of House Rist they have the dangerous reputation right, Bo?” she said.


Bo grinned and said, “They alright, House Lanar is coming back so they better watch out. Bo Lanar, of THE House Lanar. Might have heard of us scaring House Uros back into their shells. This is my woman, Tera.”

“Trying to see if the old man will take us out for a spin, it’s a good ship but anyone can talk a good game.”

[Kellen Rist]

"Ah yes, our reputation does tend to preceed us." He chuckled. Bo received a curious look.

"House Lanar you say? Well now that is interesting, and hello Tera." He raised his glass towards the beautiful woman then looked back at Lord Syrush.

"Did you want to take The Toretto out for a spin Lord Pendington?"

[Omandri Rist]

Omandri had been dressed to the nines wearing his best suit, fine materials black with green pocket square and green shimmer silk tie. Gold cuff links, and a gold pin on his lapel brought the look together.

The Doctor approached his cousin "Kellen you old dog they let any one on these things dont they?" He said with a wide grin.

He saw the companions his cousin was with and nodded in greeting "and I see you've made a few friends even. Who do I have the pleasure of meeting this evening?" He asked casually an easy smile staying on his lips the whole time.

Kellen grinned as his favourite cousin approached. "What is it the other Houses call us when we gather? A conspiracy of Rists?" He winked at Omandri.

"Everyone, this is my cousin Dr Omandri Rist. Omandri allow me to introduce Lord Pendington Syresh the Third, owner of this spectacular vessel." He gestured to the ship.

"This is Lady Tera, and this is her friend Bo Lanar, of House Lanar."

[Dapper Dog]

Tera smiled though the numbers were growing and said, “Well far be it for me to interfere in such camaraderie. Bo, sweetie, this ship is amazing. But I would love to see it fly.”


Bo agreed and said, “Lord Syresh, come on man, you can’t let a sweet girl like this just sit here. You need to punch the dust off and push her to the limit.”

“Well young man I have you know that this ship could do the Kessel Run in five parsecs… she is fast where it counts and very furious when she needs to be. She moight be too much ship for some,” he bragged.

Tera said, “Too much ship? Really?”

Lord Syresh smiled and said, “I’ll show you! Who wants to see this girl fly?”

Tera added, “Oh we should not bother these Rist gentlemen, surely they have better things to do.”

[Omandri Rist]

Kellen grinned as his favourite cousin approached. "What is it the other Houses call us when we gather? A conspiracy of Rists?" He winked at Omandri.

"This is Lady Tera, and this is her friend Bo Lanar, of House Lanar."

"A conspiracy indeed" He said returning the wink to his cousin and regarding the group once again "Lady Tera, Mr. Bo." His eyes flashed recognition at the names and his manner remained formal but not quite stiff. Kellen might not be his best friend in the galaxy but he would know Omandri well enough to know something was up.

"And Lord Syrush what a pleasure, this is truly a magnificent vehicle. I'm sure I would love to see how she handles." He smiled to Tera "Nothing better I can think of, you cousin?" He asked shifting his Gaze to Kellen.

"Well, I'd be delighted to join you all on this exciting adventure." He grinned at Omandri. "Anything that could do the Kessel run in 5 parsecs almost sounds too good to be true."

He nodded to Lord Syresh. "Alright then, let's see what the Toretto can do!" He'd been meaning to brush up on Piloting for future expeditions, maybe this would be the push he needed?

Tera smiled as everyone got on the Toretto and the Syresh noble managed the controls and deftly lifted off and skimmed the sea. He said, “See she handles so smoothly.”

Bo took a seat next to the man and listened as Tera paced and then said, “It should fly very smoothly, a custom Kuati model registered to the late Tabasi the Hutt. Which is delicious because I am pretty sure that although the rush job to get the identifier changed… it won’t pass muster, Lord Syresh.”

“Excuse me gentlemen of House Rist, but the Lord and I have business, because this ship is hot… bloody center of a star hot. So I say you give it to me, and no one has to know about your side deals with the Hutt Cartels?” she said with a wide smile as she leaned over and smiled at the older man sweetly placing slim bladeless hilt behind his chair.

“And if you disagree… and choose violence, then well… I am a Deathwright and this isn’t a blaster behind your chair, love,” she offered winking to the Rists.

"Does everyone have a lightsaber these days?" Kellen had become rather familiar with them over the last few days, what with all the Jedi he had been working with. "Deathwright you say? That's that chap who married into House Thul isn't it?"

Quite calmly he looked at the pilot to see if he was going to do something rash. "Is all of this true Lord Syresh? I ask because getting involved in Hutt business always gets messy."

[Dapper Dog]

He said quickly, “Why, I never… my family is a loyal vassal of Organa and I would never deal with Hutts or their things and I am most definitely incensed at the accusal. This woman is a criminal trying to steal what I already stole… ahem… acquired!”

OOC: It don't sound true.

Lord Syresh Deception: 1eP+2eA+3eD 1 failure

"Does everyone have a lightsaber these days?" Kellen had become rather familiar with them over the last few days, what with all the Jedi he had been working with. "Deathwright you say? That's that chap who married into House Thul isn't it?"

Quite calmly he looked at the pilot to see if he was going to do something rash. "Is all of this true Lord Syresh? I ask because getting involved in Hutt business always gets messy."

"Oh, love, they do seem to be in fashion," she replied with a mischievous smile.

[Omandri Rist]

Omandri sighed not sure how he always ended up in situations like these. "Well seems rather unsporting to steal even if the ship was already stolen." He said with a charismatic smile. He could maybe take her one on one but the good lord Syrush didn't strike him as much of a warrior and he wasn't sure how good Kellen was in a scrap and she had a lightsaber.

"So your plan, if we resist, is to kill three nobles one of which is the brother another of which is the cousin of the head of a house of assassins that are rather expert at tracking people down?" He shook his head a little "this seems like a less than well thought out plan."

[Dapper Dog]

"I'd rather not kill any of you, love, but you decided to step into the mynock's nest. Unsporting or not, I want this ship. I don't want any trouble with whatever you got going," she said dismissively. "But... I am not sure you want to give your life for Ser Whatever he is, either. So let's strike a deal."

Lord Syresh replied, "Deals? Why, I never, I demand these House Rist gentleman box your ears and apprehend you!"

Tera said, "I am not a patient woman, so... Lord Syresh, I hope you have your wallet."

Bo added, "Hey I thought we were taking that too as seed money."

"I know sweetie but these Rist lordlings added an undue wrinkle. So you get his money, we get the ship and we part ways," she said to Omandri and Kellen.

[Omandri Rist]

Omandri nodded seeming unfazed by her response and currently examining his nails which were perfectly manicured and clean when she finished he looked up "hmmm well the way I see it this works out a few ways. You drop us off, lord syrush is so incensed at the theft puts a contract on your head with House Rist. We hunt you and you die and this little lord of House Lanar too. We don't accept your deal, we fight, you end up in custody. Now we might not win but if you kill or maim either of us my sister will hunt you to the edge of the galaxy and ensure you die in ways so unpleasant I'd rather not talk about them. Or you allow lord Syrush to drop us all off and we all go our separate ways." He said the whole thing with a very casual air but his smile no longer reached his eyes which were quite serious.

He turned to Kellen "what do you think Cousin, is that a sound assessment of the situation?"
