[Day 5 - MA] The Duke

[Dapper Dog]

Duke Ulgo frowned and said, “That was a hard day, when I suddenly became as the kids call it, uncool. My daughter is my everything and that cut deep, but things get better. Some worse but mostly better.”

“You have a long but fruitful road ahead, don’t screw it up.”

[Zeno Thul]

"I'm certainly trying not to," he says with a nod. "Have to stay as cool as I can for as long as I can. It's amazing how much research has to be done to make sure we're keeping up with the latest fashions, toys and shows for them and yet they always seem to know. Almost like they have no jobs or worries."

He sighs.

"But the smiles are worth the work."

[Dapper Dog]

"Yulastranza went through a phase where we had to get her berxian frogs, that was all she wanted. She had a room filled with the bloody stuffed animal frogs. I was glad when she moved onto her daddy I want blasters phase, much easier," he said gruffly.

"That was when she discovered boys..." Another heavy sigh.

[Zeno Thul]

"Well, I hope by the time the issue of boys comes around I've taught them enough that I need to worry about the safety of the boys rather than my girls," he replies with a smile. "Though I'll still probably worry."

[Dapper Dog]

“Time will tell,” he grumbled. He poured more whiskey and added, “You always worry, that never ends.”

[Zeno Thul]

Zeno drinks some more whiskey. "I don't doubt that."

"I've honestly had a pleasant time chatting with you. And I know you avoid the public now as much as I did when I first got to Alderaan. Perhaps we could try to at least maintain a private line to each other so people don't gossip too much. We all have our issues but I would like to see Alderaan strong and the fortunes of all families rise here, and the first step on that road is communication."

Bouris looked at him and then after some consideration passed along contact info, "It's not the worst idea I have heard today."

[Zeno Thul]

"Some of my best ideas aren't the worst ideas," he says with a smile, passing his own information to his fellow Duke before finishing of his second cup of whiskey. "I will leave you to enjoy the rest of the cruise. Have a pleasant day Duke Bouris Ulgo."

Zeno rises and offers an appropriate bow to the Duke, one due someone of equivalent rank but of greater renown, making room for anyone else that wishes to meet the reclusive man. Or anyone else that whishes to speak to Zeno himself.

[Delmi Koor]

"Some of my best ideas aren't the worst ideas," he says with a smile, passing his own information to his fellow Duke before finishing of his second cup of whiskey. "I will leave you to enjoy the rest of the cruise. Have a pleasant day Duke Bouris Ulgo."

Zeno rises and offers an appropriate bow to the Duke, one due someone of equivalent rank but of greater renown, making room for anyone else that wishes to meet the reclusive man. Or anyone else that whishes to speak to Zeno himself.

After being thoroughly patted down for the upteenth time today Delmi was also securely on the pleasure cruise. It had not been much of a pleasurable day for the young woman who was being trailed by two watchers.

She chuckled to herself as she collected her first drink and saw the Sith talking with the Duke.

So this guy doesn’t need minders… but Delmi Koor does. Fuck these terrorists…

She nodded at the Sith when their eyes crossed after the crimson man finished his discussion with the Duke.

Zeno retured the nod and approached. "Got some new friends? I'm guessing it has something to do with that vid released with the explosion," he said in greeting.

"I'm guessing it was a skilled fake, like the stuff used to frame the house and the rather erotic vid of Layne."

[Delmi Koor]

“Cunning people and their movie magic doin’ all sorts of productions lately.” She said with a smirk.

“At least I didn’t end up naked in mine.”

[Dapper Dog]

“Perhaps the only woman here who might be a deadly as me, Lady Koor, a pleasure,” Duchess Rist said flanked by several of her agents including a certain silvery fox.

[Delmi Koor]

“Duchess Rist.” Delmi replied with a polite bow of her head.

“It’s a pleasure to see you again.” She recognized the other face from their last meeting. She pointed to the man and her head back and forth while she closed her eyes and feigned trying to remember.

“I’m sorry. I don’t quite remember your name, Sir?”

"All the Dukes and Duchesses are meeting here tonight," Zeno says, tilting his head in greeting. He maintained a pleasant expression. "Duchess Giandra."

[Dapper Dog]

"Duke Consort, a pleasure," she said with a practiced smile.

“Duchess Rist.” Delmi replied with a polite bow of her head.

“It’s a pleasure to see you again.” She recognized the other face from their last meeting. She pointed to the man and her head back and forth while she closed her eyes and feigned trying to remember.

“I’m sorry. I don’t quite remember your name, Sir?”

"Baron Bryson Rist, though I am not sure if we have ever met. Just a humble servant of House Rist," he said with a warm smile.

[Delmi Koor]

"Oh? I thought you were there when I spoke with Duchess Rist about my locket. Do you have a twin?" She asked with a smile.

[Dapper Dog]

He shrugged and responded, “Doubtful but I meet a lot of people so it’s possible. Well it was a pleasure, Lady Koor, I hope you enjoy your afternoon.”

“Duchess, I see Duke Ulgo, shall we?” he added to Giandra.

[Delmi Koor]

“Umm Duchess, if I might…” Delmi tried to interpose before they left but respected the important person’s prerogative.

"Yes?" she said giving her attention to Delmi.

[Delmi Koor]

“There happen to have been some developments regarding the discussion we had last time. Things I feel you would find encouraging. I was wondering if you would be willing to discuss them in private with me at your earliest convenience…” She offered in her most polite voice.
