(Day 5, EE) - Soaking in Luxury (open)

[Arsele Girard]

Not only had Arsele brought her best dress, but she'd been sure to bring a fancy swimsuit for the cruise. After all, what was a cruise without enjoying the sauna or hot tub? So stylish relaxing it was, complete with cute swimsuit and kickin' glasses.

Finally tired of walking about aimlessly Breela decided she was going to find a hot tub and relax. Changing into her orange bikini from the beach she grabbed a glass of wine and entered the one least occupied. "Mind if I join you?" She settled in to the water feeling all of the stress fade away. A soft purr might be heard underneath the ambiance.

Okay. Truth time? Arsele was surprised to see that Farghuls were let into the hot tub. Like, wouldn't their fur get in the filters and such.

The noblewoman blinked behind her sunglasses before slowly getting into the bubbling water as well, "You... well... If you're a guest on the cruise, I don't see why not."

She also had the impression Farghul didn't like getting wet. Maybe she was just ignorant; It wasn't as if she'd had any that were close friends or such.

[Breela Po]

The response was tiring but after the day she had she just wanted to enjoy the warmth. "That's good of you." She said as the waters eased her troubles. Her fur in places buffeted with the currents but, shockingly, tufts of hair didn't clog up the drain or the jets. Almost like she wasn't a mangy un-brushed animal, changing coats with the seasons.
"Sorry how rude," she paused deliberately, "I'm Breela, pleasure." She put half as much effort into the introduction as she had cares left in the world.

[Arsele Girard]

"Arsele Girard. Likewise."

Arsele hadn't actually said any of that out loud, had she?

"I must say, I think you're actually the first Farghul I've seen on Alderaan in all my time living here. I knew a few back on Nar Shaddaa, but it's good to see that the festivities are bringing people from all around the galaxy."

[Breela Po]

"Just moved here actually." She had her head leaned back but it would be improper not to sit up and speak. "Came over from Coruscant to try my hand at entrepreneurship. So far business has been good." She raised her hands out of the water and reached for her glass. "It's true, Farghul are a rarity - and kudos for getting the species right. Most people guess Cathar." She took a protracted sip and replaced the glass in the holder. I might have misread her. Whoops.

[Arsele Girard]

"I don't know much about the galaxy, it's true. Actually never met a Cathar though, I think."

Arsele could see her sunglasses fogging up and pouted a little, putting them up above her forehead with a sigh.

"Then again, maybe knowing so little about things I have and I was just busy thinking about other things. I wouldn't know what a Farghul looked like if there hadn't been a family of them that ran a bakery near where I lived."

[Breela Po]

Yep, I misread her. I feel terrible now.
Smiling, "Awww, yeah a Farghul family would fit right in on Nar Shaddaa. Mischief is in both our blood and our culture. Of course I haven't been back in..." She thinks back and feels old, "wow something like twenty five years. I stopped in once or twice with my master."

[Arsele Girard]

It was true; She wasn't a mean girl, she was just a bit dim.

"Twenty five?" she asked with a tilt of her head, "...you don't look older than me. Then again, maybe I just can't tell."

Tilting her head caused the expensive sunglasses to slip from her head a bit.

[Breela Po]

Breela laughed, "I'm forty one, but I understand there's a weird bell curve with humans. I think comparatively it's like being in your early to mid thirties?"

"So what things keep you so busy?" She asks eager to hear more about why such a lovely dainty blonde was hanging around a port like Nar Shaddaa.

[Arsele Girard]

"Lately? Nothing really. I moved back home here to get away from some things, get a fresh start. I'm just not sure what that's going to look like yet, what direction I'm going to take things in."

[Breela Po]

"Well," Breela ran her fingers over the waters edge, "I wish I had some sage advice to impart, but lately I've been struggling with my own convictions." She took another sip of wine. "You could always find a husband, assuming you haven't already got one. This is apparently the best time to find one on Alderaan."

[Arsele Girard]

That got a look on the woman's face like biting a lemon, "If I were interested in such a thing, maybe... I've no intention of tying myself down anytime soon in that way, especially with a man. No, that's part of why it's so tough; Finding direction that doesn't lead to a dead end like that."

[Breela Po]

The steam compelled a loose bang to fall right in her eyes as she looked on flabbergasted. "A... dead end? Ohh!" She laughed surprised. "I see, well..." she purred, "for me the experience was anything but a dead end. But people have different priorities and I respect that. Maybe along that vein is where you should look though, whatever you're into."

Little by little the heat made her feel... better.

[Arsele Girard]

A small smirk, "The last time I was happy with someone, it didn't work out too well. Let's just say it was the first of many lessons. Still, I won't say I'm some sort of authority who knows everything about relationships, so I will... try to keep an open mind. As to elsewhere from the past, I think that's the kind of thing I've been thinking about, yeah. Though some of that stuff I may have grown out of..."

[Breela Po]

"Well," she smiled softly, "I'm sorry to hear that. But I understand." She reaches for the wine glass once more and takes a protracted sip. Replacing it she says, "Let's leave the past where it belongs."

"You know I had you pegged so wrong." Breela blushes, but then it might just be the heat. "You're actually a self-made woman aren't you? For whatever reason I assumed otherwise, forgive me." She grins, "I know it seems hypocritical, but I'm not. Not really. I learned martial arts at a young age because it was expected and that's been my life. Everything else, the money I have, that I have coming in, it's all tied back into a career I was chosen for." She shakes her head with a self deprecating scoff, "I envy women like you who are makers of their own destiny."

[Arsele Girard]

"I'd LIKE to be a self-made woman, sure. That's the whole go. And why I moved to Nar Shaddaa from a place like this in the first place. Sure, I could have gotten married and made House Girard proud and all that... but that wasn't ME. It wasn't who I wanted to be, and it would have just defined me as what I was and not who I was."

She looked at Breela curiously, "You say all that... though you don't seem like the sort of person with a lot of regrets. Unless I'm mistaken as well?"

[Breela Po]

"I see," a forced marriage, that explains her disdain.

"No, sadly I've eight years of regret. But..." She sighed resolutely, "I just don't want to dwell on that anymore."

"Maybe here, now, we can both remake ourselves." She sits up feeling a growing connection, "Remind me to give you my contact information when we step out of here. If ever the need arises, I'm a good friend to have."

The playful little smirk returns, but the blonde nods, this time her sunglasses falling into the hottub and immediately removing said smirk. Still, Arsele talks mostly nonchalantly as she attempts to fish out the expensive shades, "I can do... that."

She paused as steam got up into her eyes. Darn steam.

"I do warn you though, I don't plan on..." a grunt of exertion as she reached her hand down to the bottom of the tub, "I don't plan on... being on Alderaan... to long. If I get an opportunity or enough money, I really want to see more of the galaxy."

No luck, Arsele sighing and sitting back up straight with a frown as she fished around with a foot instead, "Not that I'm not the type to return messages; Unless they're from loan sharks."

[Breela Po]

Breela helped her fish around for the glasses with her tail, all the while holding on to a giggle that eventually became a laugh at Arsele's antics. "Ohh here they arrreeee and that's my tail!" Her tail retreats from Arsele's foot pulling the sunglasses along. She then scoops them up and passes them over good naturedly.

Trying in vain to contain the giggling fit that remained she continued, "Plans sometimes change, that goes for both of us. Maybe you'll stay and need some muscle to help you with those lone sharks, or maybe I'll decide to jump ship." She shook her head still holding back occasional giggles.
