Day 5 [LA] Convalescence From The Good Airs (Closed)

[Desilijic Keyhote]

Keythote makes his way slowly across the yacht's deck, his usual whine of repulsors replaced with a slow slither and the 'thunk' of a walking stick. The Hutt's fine suit does little to hide the cast on his tail or the next scars down his chin. Nonetheless, he is in fine spirits!

Sando is fussing more than usual and at one point starts a staccato tirade directed towards a nobleman who nearly stepped on his liege's injured tail. For once it is Keyhote who has to defuse things.

"Pantha what is the matter with you? The ambassador is an Ithorian, they don't have much vision even at the best of times."
His squire's bows his head red cheeked. "I know yer lordship, but he very nearly trod on your impressive appendage! It could have worsened the injury."
Keyhote nods and slowly lowers himself to place a giant hand on Sando's cheek
"Your diligence does you credit my friend, but truly, my recovery is well in hand. It will take more than a hateful hound to purge the love from me! Now come, let us turn our minds from death and despair and rejuvenate our spirits with camaraderie."

Slowly straightening he spots Aurilie over the crowd
"And there is the noble prince as if almost on cue. Come along, let us make ourselves known."

The two approach the great hunter of Black Tooth and bow politely.

Aurilie was casually watching the waters by the railing when Keyhote and Sando caught her, dressed in a blue tuxedo. She hadn't expected a pleasure cruise and thankfully she didn't get seasick. The waters were rather notorious when it came to all sorts of mysterious creatures and terrors of the depths. She found herself thinking of those riverside cruises that often had something go wrong because someone wanted to get a look at the side of the ship.

However, thankfully, that wasn't likely to happen on Alderaan and she found herself snapping from her thoughts when Keyhote and his loyal squire approached. There was a hunter who had a brush with mortality, on a relevant note.

She placed a hand on her waist and an arm behind her as she bowed back in return with a small smile on her lips. "Oh, Sey Keyhote and Sando, good afternoon. How are you both doing today?"

"Better now for seeing you! You cut a striking figure in the afternoon light. Doubtless any ocean monsters will stay clear of the great hunter."
Sando for his part seems rather grateful to Aurilie and asks if there's anything he can get her.

"I am taking my quest to less martial pursuits for the day. Not only do I need some time to heal but Pantha will doubtless have a fit should I engage in combat once again."

"Better now for seeing you! You cut a striking figure in the afternoon light. Doubtless any ocean monsters will stay clear of the great hunter."
Sando for his part seems rather grateful to Aurilie and asks if there's anything he can get her.

"I am taking my quest to less martial pursuits for the day. Not only do I need some time to heal but Pantha will doubtless have a fit should I engage in combat once again."

Aurilie couldn't help but smile at his words and laughed in good humour. "Thank you, Ser Keyhote. Thank you for brightening up my day. I suppose that could be true but I'd say that they're likely to think that this ship just isn't worth the trouble when they see you on board. To be honest, I think all of us could use a break from less martial pursuits and the cruise has provided us with ample opportunity. We've done plenty of that to last us a few weeks, if not days. We need time for the tales to become history so that we can spin them taller and grander. However, that might not be needed in this case."

She smiled softly at Keyhote and reached out to give him a pat on the arm. "Of all things, I think I'm most glad to see you here today."

Aurilie couldn't help but smile at his words and laughed in good humour. "Thank you, Ser Keyhote. Thank you for brightening up my day. I suppose that could be true but I'd say that they're likely to think that this ship just isn't worth the trouble when they see you on board. To be honest, I think all of us could use a break from less martial pursuits and the cruise has provided us with ample opportunity. We've done plenty of that to last us a few weeks, if not days. We need time for the tales to become history so that we can spin them taller and grander. However, that might not be needed in this case."

She smiled softly at Keyhote and reached out to give him a pat on the arm. "Of all things, I think I'm most glad to see you here today."

Keyhote looks genuinely touched. Such love between comrades!

"Then I would have missed this view and the bracing sea air. And how are you faring? I was speaking to the lady Cynella or Kuat recently and she mentioned you two were acquainted."

Keyhote looks genuinely touched. Such love between comrades!

"It was a near run thing. I was fortunate in my choice of companions or there would be one less quester in our galaxy."
Gesturing out with his cane
"Then I would have missed this view and the bracing sea air. And how are you faring? I was speaking to the lady Cynella or Kuat recently and she mentioned you two were acquainted."

"Oh, I think I'm holding well enough." She looked down as she laughed, fiddling with the buttons of her tuxedo jacket. "Glad to be among people again, trying to be social, and find my footing with the festival again. You know, being a normal person. Being out of a hunt isn't always like an on and off switch."

She gave a shrug of her shoulders, not wanting to bring up because a friend had a brush with death but that was partially the case. Looking back up, she smiled at the Hutt. "But I think the Festival and its fine company are providing acquaint distractions so that this fierce huntress can return to civilization, knowing she doesn't have fight tooth and nail anymore. And yes, we have found ourselves with a mutual friend with Lady Cynella. Well, I hope we're a little bit more than acquainted as we are doing a little bit of courting at the moment."

"Oh, I think I'm holding well enough." She looked down as she laughed, fiddling with the buttons of her tuxedo jacket. "Glad to be among people again, trying to be social, and find my footing with the festival again. You know, being a normal person. Being out of a hunt isn't always like an on and off switch."

She gave a shrug of her shoulders, not wanting to bring up because a friend had a brush with death but that was partially the case. Looking back up, she smiled at the Hutt. "But I think the Festival and its fine company are providing acquaint distractions so that this fierce huntress can return to civilization, knowing she doesn't have fight tooth and nail anymore. And yes, we have found ourselves with a mutual friend with Lady Cynella. Well, I hope we're a little bit more than acquainted as we are doing a little bit of courting at the moment."

"I had underestimated your clairvoyance of the future, Ser Keyhote but admittedly, I always thought it was a possibility in the back of my mind." She smirked at him. "She is optimistic and charming, also adorable in some ways. Hah, I suppose she does have all of those physical qualities about her. I could see some potential for a pairing if both of our parties allow it. It might not be entirely up to her and I assume you mean questing, as in searching? Admittedly, she had it in her mind to do just yet from the beginning. I confess I'm a bit at a disadvantage in that regard. If she finds the right one for her and her family, I can't be disappointed either."

"You could go on a honeymoon quest together...but I get head of myself. As you say, there are important matters of politics that may get in the way...but at the same time I say phooey! Let live bloom! Follow your heart and make the galaxy a better place for it. She may find another, but I hope not. Indeed, you could teach her to shoot! She crossed her arms as she turned thoughtful on the suggestion. "Here I was under the impression that she was committed to the constraints and expectations of her family. Her family does have much stock in their shipbuilding industries and I don't think she seeks to disappoint them, not in the slightest as she's made clear. Of course, that's an impression all nobles from royal houses are likely to give to everyone. I haven't found otherwise as of yet. So, you're saying that's your impression of her?"

"I don't know if absconding her away from the Festival would be such a great idea." She chuckled out loud at that. "It wouldn't do to miss out on the daily court, it seems. Also, I think a honeymoon is a very strong suggestion, especially for two unwed nobles. And I have mentioned hunting a few times to her, in passing, she's not too taken to the sport. She might consider training with a bow as we've talked about."

"It was only the first meeting, but I believe she has the heart of a romantic. A dutiful romantic yes, but still, her life would be wasted if spent simply waiting around on the wants and needs of her family. This I am more than aware of!"

"But I supposed I get a sense of what you're saying, even if I don't take it literally. There's a bit of initiative needed on the matter. This chance might have happened by luck but it won't too much unless I steer it in a favourable direction."

Aurilie couldn't help but tilt her head at something that was said, clearly she wasn't very familiar with that word. It didn't find a place in Alde grace schools just yet. "...Simping? What's exactly this simping?"

He shudders

"I see..." Aurilie said in begrudging realization to the meaning of the word. She let out a slow breath and narrowed her eyes as she looked off in thought. "I don't think I'm in a situation where I'm merely just simping, as you say, for Lady Cynella. We have at least a little more than just pleasantries, I'd like to think."

"I see..." Aurilie said in begrudging realization to the meaning of the word. She let out a slow breath and narrowed her eyes as she looked off in thought. "I don't think I'm in a situation where I'm merely just simping, as you say, for Lady Cynella. We have at least a little more than just pleasantries, I'd like to think."

"Of course not, your affection and intentions are pure, and it sounds like she shares your affections? I would not say you are a simp at all."

"Well, we're still somewhere in the early stages of the relationship and we did have a date, maybe some unofficial ones before that." She admitted, probably in her defence. "But, yes, this simping thing sounds like a purgatory of sorts. I suppose it's unavoidable in some cases as relationships are complex things. People are allowed to have opinions of their own and sometimes even the relationship takes a life of its own. It's probably best to be aware, at least."
