Now Where... (Day 5 Early Eve)

Gil frowned. He hadn't seen Omandri or Kellen for a little bit now and his trouble sense was starting to tingle. Not that they exactly had to be in trouble, Omandri could of wandered into some dark corner with some woman of loose morals to have a bit of a tryst. Such was really not Kellen's style though and that is what made Gil a little spooked. Of course dressed up as he was with what little in the way of weapons he had been allowed he wasn't going to be the best of help. Still it was the principal of the thing.

Eyes the halls and common areas, he was sure to double check any bars he came across. Both the men could be pretty heavy drinkers if they had the chance.

Suddenly an intense woman approached and said, "An aura of service and duty weighs you down, servant of House Rist."

Gil blinked at the womans sudden appearence before offering her a bow. "Ah, yes I suppose that may be the case." He replied as looked over the woman for a moment. "And I'm sorry if such managed to doisturb you, Lady...?" He trailed off hoping the likely noble woman would fill in her name.

"Lady Panteer, what troubles you?" she asked staring into his eyes.

"It is nothing too pressing, especially with the amoutn of security on this ship." He replied with a twitch of his lips that might of been a smile.

"I just haven't seen either of those I have been watching over for a little while now, and while I'm not currently on duty I do like to be aware of their whereabouts, just in case I suppose you could say."

"They are living in interesting times," she responded.

"Something told me that was the case." He replied with a slight frown. He wasn't quite sure why he decided that meant they were in a bit of trouble, or why he believed her but he did.

"I knew I should of been keeping an eye on them."

"They will endure," she replied with little concern. "But what of you, your aura is malleable, it folds and grows and shrinks. Are you well? Fulfilled? sexual difficulty perhaps? No, it is something else."

He raised an eyebrow at that, especially the part about sexual difficultly. It wsn't something people normally mentioned out loud in pleasant company after all. "I can't say I know much about aura's, Lady Panteer. So I couldn't exactly pinpoint whats up with mine." He replied his lips curlign at the edges in what could be a smile.

"Though I suppose I am not quite used to being in a place like this." Well as a quest of sorts and not on duty.

"Not used to nobility?" she asked.

"Plenty used to nobility." Which was true enough.

"Usually I'm more on the edges though. Out of sight out of mind, if that makes any sensse."

"You have the bearing of a soldier... a man used to doing the dirty work, your aura gains focus," she said.

Well, that seemed a good thing at the very least. "Yes, it's what I was raised for, and what I'm comfortable with." Following your orders, doing your duty it was a simple thing even though at times it could be hard. "It's hard to get it done when all eyes are on you."

"Your heart is sworn to duty, but you fear the duty of your family? Marriage?" she asked.

"I'm not sure I'd say I fear it." He replied with a bit of a grimace. "It is a bit of an intimidating topic though." Gil admitted.

"Not quite sure this is the right place for me to look either. No offense intended to any of the women in attendance of course. They just all seem to float in different streams then where I live, if that makes any sense."

"Well..." He paused a moment. "I suppose I like someone a bit down to earth? That would enjoy spending the day gardening or reading and not going out partying the night away. That understands duty and that that family is important." Gil frowned. "I suppose some of the ladies aroudn here have that. Just hard to see with all the cocktails and fancy dresses."

"Yet you do not try to find out? How curious," she responded. "Your aura is not so mysterious now."

"Oh, I have a few times." He admitted with a slight twitch of his lips to indicate a smile. "Most times they seem preoccupied with people in higher places. Course there was the one whoo spent most of our conversation insulting me, and the other who just started chatting with another gentlemen." He didn't seem particularly put off by either case, just stating facts

"Still happy to know I helped you solve a bit of your mystery, Lady Panteer."
