[D5 LE] Layn' it on thick

[Alysele Organa]

Niall's office was dark, with only the desk lamp providing some light. A dark figure was sitting cross legged on the desk, papers and pads pushed away to the side. Black air, black dress and...a black sense of humor? At least judging by the sly smile on her face.

She tapped away on her communicator, a brief message sent to the owner of the office. "Intruder in your office. Might be related to yesterday's video."

[Niall Organa]

It would not be long before the door opened to reveal Niall a concerned frown on his face. That the message had come from his wife's comm kept him from being too concerned; any threat she couldn't handle, a security team wouldn't make much difference. Still, he'd come as soon as he could, ready to face...

Well, he wasn't ready to face this.

"Oh." Niall said. "Oh no. No, no." Shaking his head, he began to laugh. He looked back at her, red-faced. For a moment, he started to say something, but then a fresh bout of laughter began; he leaned against the door frame, shoulders shaking.

Finally, he turned back to her, wiping tears from his eyes. "Oh wow. I must say, this is rather a surprise." He grinned at his wife in her Layne costume.

"Well, if it isn't my secret lover from another mother, Cap'n Alderaaaaan." She drawled, her body shaking from trying to withhold her laughter.

She jumped off from the desk, wearing combat boots instead of her usual heels, alongside a trenchcoat and....sunglasses?

"I hoped to meet you again here. On this desk."

Niall was definitely glad he'd requested the camera feed to his office be turned off. He surveyed his wife's costume, black on black on black. The combat boots were definitely a nice touch. The accent... was something.

He stepped forward. "Layne." He said, lips twitching, a brief snort of laughter escaping his lips. "So. You came back. I warned you what I would do if you came back, didn't I?" He took another step closer, hands clenched into fists down at his side. It looked like he was pretending to be angry, but he was actually just digging his nails into his palms to keep from collapsing into a laughing heap.

Aly sauntered in close...sort of? It was a sullen saunter, if there was a thing like that. "Well, you know me. I just couldn't resist. Seeing you with your stuck up yet sensual wife together was...."she was shaking now, but suddenly, her stance changed. "Sorry honey, I just can't do this. It's funny but also..mean?" She removed the black wig from her head. "I figured it's a funny way to clear the air between us, so to say. I trust you. I know you didn't do anything."

[Niall Organa]

Laughing, Niall put his arms around her. "Thank goodness. I mean, it was hilarious. But you're right. It would be strange."

He kissed the top of her head, lips lingering a moment, then leaned back, so he could meet her eyes. "Thank you." He said softly. "For trusting me. And having your sense of humor." He tilted his head. "And for being you, I suppose."

[Alysele Organa]

"Well, if I wasn't me, we wouldn't be us." She smiled, and gave him a peck. "And don't worry. I love you, and I married you. If I can't trust you, then why did I do that? And well, Layne...I'm not her biggest fan, by any stretch, but that is something I don't see her doing. Or well, if she wanted to do it, you wouldn't." She shrugged.

"A small part of me wants to release a recording of one our sessions to show them what a real steamy night of Captain Alderaan looks like." She smiled. "But I think my father-in-law might not appreciate that."

[Niall Organa]

"Quite right." Niall said, smiling at her. "We're Ni and Aly. We always have been, and we always will be."

He chuckled, leaning his forehead against hers. "Indeed, that would be too much for him." Niall sighed. "Sometimes I forget that he really is part of an older generation, with different values. They loom over us, like some sort of... loomers." He grimaced. "Loomers. Perhaps there's something better to call them."

[Alysele Organa]

"Gloomers?" She shrugged as one option.

"Do you think Layne knows we don't believe it? I haven't mentioned it to her yet. Have you talked?"

[Niall Organa]

Niall grimaced. "Actually, we have. We had a mission to complete, and couldn't let something like a fake sex tape stop that."

He took a breath, then smiled. "It's okay. I teased her a bit at first, I'll admit. But we're friends." He made a face. "Goodness, it's strange every time I say that."

[Alysele Organa]

Aly snickered. "I would have liked to see her face." She smiled. "Layne and you...friends?" She shook her head. "Certainly a strange galaxy we live in."

[Niall Organa]

"You should have seen mine, too." Niall said ruefully. "Layne can give as good as she gets." He cleared his throat. "Perhaps that's an unfortunate choice of words, all things considered."

He sighed, reaching up to brush his hand back through Aly's hair. "But yes. It's strange. I first knew her as a Sith. But even then, I knew she was a good person." He smiled. "That was back on Nar Shaddaa, actually. Speaking of a strange galaxy."

[Alysele Organa]

"I'm not surprised. She's a tough one." She smiled, and leaned in for a hug.

"I knew her first as a sith too. We did not get along when we met. Like oil and fire. Or...huttball and rules, I guess."

[Niall Organa]

Niall murmured pleasantly as his arms encircled his wife, gently hugging her against him. He nuzzled into her hair, inhaling, taking in her scent.

He chuckled. "That sounds about right. She's always been a sort of disaster magnet. But she does the right thing. Even if she grumbles and makes weird jokes when she does it."

He sighed. "But thank you for trusting me. There are many things that are important to me, but that may be the most important. My love." He murmured, pulling back just far enough to smile at her.
