[Niall Organa]

"Well, not entirely selfless. I do live here, after all." Niall chuckled, then frowned. "At least, sometimes." Really, it seemed like he only came back when he got shot.

"But yes." He said. "It's important that the dignity of all the Houses is seen to, so long as they don't rebel. Even Thul, should they support Alderaan as they should."

"That will be quite a challenge, I think."

Strange to think that they all just had to respectfully accept the existence of House Thul, when it was very clear that they were Bad News.

"Anything else I may be of service with, while I am here, major Organa?"

[Niall Organa]

Niall shook his head. "I think that's everything of business, unless there's anything else you have for me."

He took a sip of his tea, and then smiled at her over her cup. "But if you have a few minutes, perhaps you could tell me a little bit more about yourself. I like to get to know the people I'm working with, and from the sounds of it, we're likely to be working together in the future."

"Myself? An interesting line of query," she responded thoughtfully, and mulled over her answer as she considered what to say exactly.

"I am assuming you don't need my entire life story, or...? I've been with the Jedi Order for some time. Before going to Coruscant, I was born and raised here on Alderaan - my parents gave their lives in defense of our world against the Sith, in assisting with rescuing hostages the Sith had taken. My talent with the Force was discovered not long after, but I was allowed to begin my training here on Alderaan first while also recieving tutoring from our own academies here on matters less related to the Force and its mysteries."

Kat took another sip of tea. "After that, I went to Coruscant, became a Jedi under Master Syo Bakarn. Most of my life I have been travelling around the galaxy, to more remote worlds to give whatever aid possible to worlds destabilized by Sith machinations, usually in the form of humanitarian work but also with a lightsaber. I was on Coruscant when the Sith attacked, and I was here too afterwards for a lot of the fighting."

"I enjoy poetry, reading, tea, and helping people."

Niall flashed her a smile. "Well, in that case, I'm rather pleased that I thought to offer tea." He took one last sip of his before setting the mug aside.

He turned back to her. "Thank you. That was a very good answer. It's hard to learn about a person from just a few sentences, but alas, the only way to learn more is time."

His smile grew wry. "I'm not sure whether to hope we'll have the opportunity or hope we won't. But it pleases me to work with someone who understands the threat the Sith pose at least as well as I do."

"There is always more to learn about a person beyond what they choose to share. People are complex works, even those of us who lead relatively straight-forward or simple lives." Judging by her half-smile, it was quite clear she hadn't told Niall everything about herself, but if it was because she didn't find it important or because she thought it was none of his business, remained unclear.

"But yes, you can expect all the Jedi here to well understand the threat of the Sith. We have spent too much time undoing their cruel plans or standing against their violence to think of it any other way. It's not just a matter of seeing the right way forward here on Alderaan to deal with the suspicions that something is rotten in the House of Thul."

[Niall Organa]

"Indeed." Niall inclined his head with a half-smile of his own.

He clapped his hands together. "I'm pleased to hear it. House Organa has great respect for the Jedi, and their role in our struggle against the Sith Empire." He gave her a vague sort of wave, like a half-salute. "Please, if there's anything I can do for you, do not hesitate to reach out." He said.

"Alderaan has always been kind and generous to the Order. Your continued support is most appriciated. However," she paused a bit before continuing, "are you not going to tell me about yourself? Who is Major Organa behind the recruitment posters that I see everywhere in Republic space?"

[Niall Organa]

Niall smiled. "Well, you didn't ask." He murmured.

After a moment, he shrugged. "I'm an Organa, with all that means. I've been in one sort of boarding school or another all my life, until I earned my commission at the age of nineteen. Young, but we were at war. Since then I've been in the military."

He sighed gently. "My sister was killed when I was twenty." He was silent for a few moments. "I suppose the other important piece of personal news was that I finally married my wife, Alysele, just about a year ago now." That brightened him again, anyway.

He smiled again, spreading his hands. "Does that satisfy your curiosity?"

"And what should I serve, when you come to visit House Ulgo? You do not strike me as the type to indulge much in alcohol, even if you probably keep a bottle nearby for those who expect it of you." There was a calmness to her casual observation. Unlike many Jedi, she didn't rely strongly on the Force to tell her these things, but rather picking up small cues from the people and her surroundings.

Niall smiled. "As it happens, I'm rather fond of tea myself." He inclined his head. "If you would introduce me to a blend that is a favorite of yours, I'd be honored to try it."

He looked at her, eyebrows going politely up. "Until next time, then?"

"I will keep that in mind. I might have some in mind from the more remote worlds I have visited." Her lips quirked in an amused smile.

Rising from her seat, Kat gave a curt bow to Niall. "Thank you for your time, major Organa. I hope we will continue to work together in the coming days. If you need anything, do not hesitate to call on me." She nodded once. "Until next time. May the Force be with you."
