Alderaan - Love and Intrigue

It was a slightly beleaguered Niall who waited in his office for visitors. Still, his uniform was crisp and clean, and he sipped tea. In the corner, T7 beeped cheerfully.

Niall looked with mild apprehension at the normal-sized door to his office as he waited.

It was a slightly beleaguered Niall who waited in his office for visitors. Still, his uniform was crisp and clean, and he sipped tea. In the corner, T7 beeped cheerfully.

Niall looked with mild apprehension at the normal-sized door to his office as he waited.

Then a shadow falls upon the door, as though all light beyond was swallowed up into the belly of a black beat.
Quickly after there was the sound of repulsors and then...the head of a great slug slowing working its massive bulk through the door, twisting this way and that with the scraping sound of metal on wood.

Finally there's a grunt and Keyhote pops through followed closely after by Sando who had evidentially been pushing.

"Major Captain Organa! Greetings and salutations. Are you ready to address a great ill? Are you prepared to fight for familial love?"

The Jedi Tarlia followed behind the Hutt. She might have even discretely helped push the poor fellow in when he got stuck. Not that she would admit to it, the noble knight Keyhote was one who deserved his dignity.

Stepping off to the side she smiles, "Greetings Major. I am Tarlia Nirazas, of the Jedi Order. I believe what Ser Desilijic wishes to convey is that a cousin of yours has disgraced the honor of the Organa with the mean spirited antics of childish cruelty. More over it may have been against one who claims kinship with your family."

She pauses, "A nephew of Duke Rhys attacked a Twi'Lek who possesses a ring with the Organa family crest, and a story saying it is through relation with the Organa's. I can not speak on the accuracy of the claim, only the cruelty of his attacker."

Following in with one hand on the back of her blaster resting comfortably, and the other just laying slack to the side. Watching the display which had happened in front of her with some great deal of.. shock, and perhaps even horror. Still, they all made it into the room and that was good enough. As the other two gave their accounts she looks between them both, each such a different color it was enough to get a chuckle out of her.

Looking to Niall she says, "So.. Twi'lek kid got beat saying he's an Organa, we wanna find out if it's true," she glances toward the other two. "Real easy that way, ain't it?" she says with a smirk, a scrunch of her nose and a teasing shake of said nose.

Niall looked from one individual to the next, his expression nearly blank. There was a long pause.

Finally, he sighed. "What is this individual's name?" He asked.

"He goes by 'Vaki' and is about....this tall"
Keyhote unhelpfully holds a hand out while Sando rolls his eyes and presents a photo of the kid when he was getting kicked on the ground. It looked like the Drall has posted it to some non-human rights blogs.

"...Did we get his family name? Other than Organa?"
He looks at the other two.

"Signet ring he had looks like it's the real deal," she says, strolling on into the office more she looks around for a spare chair and takes it for herself. Lounging back in it she kicks her feet up onto something and glances to Niall, passing a brief smile.

"Kid's on my ship for now, gave him a place to sleep but.. yea, after watching him get beat Is like to see him claim the name. Organa proving to be the good guys again would be nice," she says with a smirk, glancing to the other two.

Niall looked at Riss, then at the others, smiling. "Please, have a seat if you like. Can I get you anything? A drink?" He rose to his feet, crossing over to the credenza.

Frowning, he looked back at them. "What about the youth's assailant? Did you get his name?" Niall grimaced. "I only have so many cousins, unfortunately. Duke Rhys is my father."

Niall's communicator had probably been beeping for a bit; and had probably been ignored on account of just how busy he was. Which might've been an unfortunate decision in case he had forgotten about that message he'd gotten earlier in the day saying that an old friend was coming in to ask for a favor. The kind of old friend that didn't seem like it'd make this evening go any more smoothly.

"M'am, you can't go in there, he's in a mee--" From the hallway the sound of Niall's butler sounded agitated

"You want to let me pass..."

"M'am you can't just tell me that and walk on thr--"

And into the open office walked a black clad armed Jedi, who immediately did a double-take upon seeing a hutt in front of her, beside whom everyone else kind of got overlooked. Slowly, Layne's head swung to the side, to look around the large alien.

"I wasn't told you're in a meeting, Corporal."

Just when he thought this day couldn't get any worse. T7 beeped mournfully. "You said it, friend." Niall said.

Shaking his head with a sigh, Niall poured himself a drink. "Brandy, if anyone would care for a glass. Layne, welcome. As you can see, I am in a meeting, so I'll thank you to address me by my proper rank."

Taking a sip, he turned to her with a smile. "Or my name. My name works. Up to you."

"Hey," Riss days, glancing to Layne as she puts her hands behind her head and rests back into them. Looking to Niall she continues, "Don't think we got a name.. kid said who his uncle was. Blonde, pretty boy type. Probably been a bully before to plenty of folk," she shrugs.

"The guard's named him 'Jarrold', a villain's moniker if ever I heard one. Perhaps his parents hated him."

"Oh. Him. That makes sense." Niall grimaced.

He frowned. "I don't recognize a Vaki Organa, though. T7, anything in our systems?" He turned to look at his droid buddy.

She shrugged; a fairly typical response from Layne. In fact, anyone who'se spent any length of time around her will have likely deduced that a shrug from Layne is not just a shrug; there's a great variety among them, all of them part of a complex system of communication that ranges across the spectrum of emotional weight. This one appeared to fall somewhere on the 'I think what you said was mildly amusing and I want you to know that my future refusal to comply is meant to be equally mildly amusing' side of the spectrum.

Okay. Maybe parsing the language of Layne shrugs was beyond the capacity of most sentients. It was fine, just so long as the gist of it was understood. Though maybe even that was asking for too much.

In any case, she leaned against a spare bit of wall-based real-estate, letting whatever conversation had been happening continue to play out. Something about a bully?

The droid beeped and booped and whirled giving the impression that it had already run the name and came back with nothing but if T7 can do some… light off the books snooping it might get something by ghosting onto the Panteer network and well the rest gets real technical as it boops and beeps.

But someone had said no crime, so right now it was beeping and booping in a most legal manner.

But someone had said no crime, so right now it was beeping and booping in a most legal manner.

Niall gave the droid a skeptical look. "You little metal brigand." He said, clearly amused. "Let's not go violating any civil liberties just yet. How can he be an Organa but not in our files?"

He looked back at the group. "Do you know how to find this Twi'lek? I'd be willing to meet with him."

"What a curious companion you have, Pantha, take note, and consider your own respect for civil liberties."
Sando just blinks
"As for the Twi'lek, I believe he was invited to stay with Miss Riss?"

"Kid didn't have anywhere else to sleep, so yea. Gave him a bunk.. ships kinda a mess though," she says, glancing around toward the group. Arms folded over her chest as she lounges and looks between them. Raising a hand toward her mouth she covers an intentional cough, "Not to suggest the elephant, but maybe it was the kid of some Organa who ran away? Ran away, had a kid, still technically blood," she waves the hand around flippantly. "That.. or someone with access really doesn't like him. From the sound of Jerk-old could have been someone who doesn't like Twi'leks? Kids father or something," she gives another dismissive wave of the hand.

T7 spun and beeped and booped adding it's two creds, implying the kid could just be adopted... or lying.

"Nay, he is on a quest of his own ser droid. More likely there is some greater story at foot!"
