Cup of kaf in hand, clad in cape and uniform, medals and all, Niall arranged himself in front of the holocommunicator. He had some important calls to make to some very important people. Niall might not get through. Niall Organa might not even get through. He hoped that Major Niall Organa of House Organa, also known as Captain Alderaan, might.

"Very well." Niall said, casting T7 a quick smile. "Wish me luck." Reaching out, he activated to holocomms, reaching out to Unther Panteer.

He leaned forward, tenting his fingers. "I was hoping to discuss that unpleasantness yesterday with Prince Joran with you. I expect you're aware I was present." Niall frowned. "I gather your security concerns have something to do with that?"

He frowned. "As it happens, my wife, the Jedi Alysele Organa, was investigating Tuvi Kerns, so we take an interest in this matter. I gather you don't think the movement died with him?"

He cleared his throat. "Still, I hope it will help that so many stepped forward to assist the prince. Even Zeno Thul." Niall smiled wryly. "I never expected to be in combat alongside a former Sith."

He frowned. "I intend to look into this matter further; it is my duty as a Republic officer, and as an Alderaanian. I believe an individual known as The Cunning Man may be involved. I will keep you informed."

He nodded. "Let me know if there's anything I can do for the crown."

He cut the comms, then sighed thoughtfully. After a few moments, he put in another call. This time, to an old... working friend of his, Agent Wren.

"Agent Wren. It's good to see you again." Niall said, smiling. "I've got T7 here with me, too. It's almost like getting the old team back together."

The smile turned into a thoughtful frown. "As it happens, I was hoping you might have something for me. I'm looking into an individual known as The Cunning Man. I have some information that suggests that he was involved with the recent protests, but I'm not sure why." Niall smiled wryly. "I thought that perhaps he'd tell me if I asked nicely."

"You are treading dangerous ground if you know that name. Terror threat, master criminal? Not much is known but when they turn up bad stuff happens; gov'ts topple, wars erupt, and lots of people tend to die."

Niall frowned suddenly. T7 was monitoring the call, of course, but... "T7, make sure this line is secure. And if anyone else is attempting to spy in on it, somehow."

He looked back to Wren. "This is very concerning." Niall said mildly. "I'm rather invested in Alderaan. I'd really prefer that it, you know, not be toppled."

"My information indicates that he is." Niall said, his expression serious. "Do you have any leads? Known associates? Perhaps methods? If I'm going to track him down, I need somewhere to start."

"What part of they are a ghost went by you, we only know of this individual in passing. We know they have been active on many worlds, including Bankor and within the Empire. It's almost certainly a group but even that is an unknown," she said.

Niall smiled wryly. "I thought SIS might have ways of tracking ghosts. Or at least getting glimpses."

He sighed. "Well. Consider this a tip, then. There is a possible connection with The Cunning Man. If you have any resources to spare to look into that, consider it. I'm beginning to think that this conflict between Ulgo and Thul is being nudged along by them."
