He had stayed late with the hound the previous night. And now, Galen was returning bright and early. He greeted the university staff and made his way to where she was being held. He'd recommended keeping her separate from the rest of the remaining pack.

Galen would find Blai around, coming with Elur from a round examining the other hounds to have a look at the hound they'd rescued the day before.

"Galen, good morning! Here to see her, I wager?"

"Of course." he nodded. "I didn't like leaving her last night. How are you this morning, Blai?"

He gave the man a smile that seemed to have an odd mix of peace and uncertainty. "Ah... Fairly well, I guess", he says after a while. "What about you?"

Getting to where the hound is kept, he takes a good look at her, his smile widening. "It was a good result in the end, eh?" he says, his voice still somewhat uncertain. "I think she needed the rest", he then says looking at Galen with a grin. "But it's nice to see you worried about her, in a way! Thinking of keeping her? After we find out what needs found out?"

"I'd keep all of them, if I could." he said. "But, I think the rest of the pack should be put back into the wild somewhere, if we can purify them."

He smiles at Galen. "They are lovely creatures, aren't they? I still remember the first time I encountered some."

Then, looking at the purer one. "I think we'll try to do that... If we can get them sorted out. I... considered training one, maybe. But if they get better, they'll probably be happier together, yeah."

Another look at him. "I don't think I've ever properly asked, since we were always quite busy. I take it you were a soldier of sorts, from what you mentioned here and there... are you currently part of a corps of some sort? Or... did you have plans for... after here?" A grin. "I know these may be changed somewhat, but... you know, if things kept as usual."

He shook his head. "I was never really a soldier. I was hired to be a scout during the Liberation of Bankor. I've pretty much always gone from one job to another. I didn't know what to do after I was free. I was too young and afraid that I'd be enslaved again to look for a place in proper society. In time, I ended up on Nar Shaddaa, which would eventually lead me to Bankor."

He nodded, more seriously. "Ah. I see." A kind, friendly smile. "It really warms my heart to see that you've made your way to something... better. Somewhat better, at least..."

A look at the ground. The difference in their experiences in life was marked, and even though he knew there were many with this sort of experience, it still had an impact on him when he saw it first hand. He shook his head slightly, looked at the hound again, then back at Galen. "And... you planned on keeping on to the next job from here, then?"

He nodded. "The plan was to return to Bankor and see what came next. Still could be, depending on what happens. That's the nature of fate, it likes to surprise us."

"That's very much true", he says with another nod. As they get closer to the hound, he looks kindly at her, then at Galen as the hound wakes up and looks at him. "Seems like she did miss you, eh?", He says with a grin.

More seriously, then, he adds. "Still hoping we can do something for the others... And, well, hoping we won't have to undo something like this ever in the future." He looks directly at Galen. "Don't suppose you or miss Ulgo heard or learnt anything else about that Sith, yea? I keep wondering how much we should worry about that..."

"The holocron would only share its knowledge with a Dark Side user." he shook his head. "But, I am hopeful that we'll manage."

He greeted the hound with a smile, offering her a small treatt he'd prepared.

Another nod. "You're probably right... I'm usually not this worried, I guess that got me a bit out of my element", he said, unaware of just how out of his element he'd be later in the day.

"Want to teach her some tricks already", he then said half-jokingly, half-suggesting as Galen offered her a treat.

"Not yet." he responded. "But, I did consider it. I just want her to know she's safe and cared for. I've been wondering, how did you come by Elur?"
