Work, more work, or repair work? (D9 MM)

For a scholar who was off-world most often than in Alderaan, blissfully unaware of most political bickering and somehow naively certain his homeworld was 'bound to be safe', the impact of the previous day's events were heavy. Although unhurt, Blai was still reeling from what he had seen and experienced... and he felt he couldn't even start gauging the extent of all that had been damaged or destroyed. The image of the museum in shambles kept returning to his head in his sleep, and as he woke up he felt a chill.

What had become of the University? Of the samples and specimens he'd brought before? The hounds they had rescued?

After a quick breakfast and some brooding, he and his lupine companion made their way to the University... hoping to find the buildings standing, and to talk to someone about what had happened, how and where he might help.

One thing was mostly clear - he probably wouldn't be returning to his field work in Pzob as soon as he had thought.

The staff, the light crew during the festival, are more than happy to help the museum, but most of the staff won't be back till the festival is done.

Ascertaining that the University itself, the hounds and the sample collection are safe and preserved, Blai lets out a sigh of relief, and goes on to spend some time with the hounds. Still aggressive, still deformed... But after seeing the one they'd saved in better conditions, he was encouraged to do his best for the others, and more hopeful he could actually help them.

It was precious little, but it raised his spirits. He knew the next thing to do would be to help at the museum. it wasn't his collection or his department, but if all this has shown one thing, it was the importance of working together and establishing trust.
