[Day 1 - EA] Queen's Protests

"You would interfere with a Blackguard, this scum attacked the blood of Panteer," he said in a deep voice.

"Give me a name, worm," the Blackguard commanded.

There is visible pain on the man's face before he utters, "Tuvi... Tuvi and Julio... in... charge."

The Blackguard released his Force choke and the man fell to the ground clutching at his throat. He then walked past Breela unless she tried to stop him.

"I am a man of my word," he added.

OOC: Breela gains 2 Conflict.

Meanwhile

Delmi, in her casual uniform decided to enter into the cafe and get herself an afternoon refreshment... sitting at a table near the group of tough guys while she waited.

They continue speaking in hushed tones before they disperse leaving just the ringleader of sorts as he takes a seat and orders a drink.

She stays guarded but lets him pass. Then she moves to help the protestor, "slow steady breaths."

She addresses the man, "Hey, I'll get that. I always try and cover ex-servicemen's tabs when I can."

Meanwhile

While I doubt another move will be made against you, I'd still like to unravel this intrigue. And you and yours could use a sympathetic ally."

Delmi was never one to talk about the recruitment posters and propaganda... always found that stuff silly.

She sighs, "I'll gladly tell you but it might take a while. Simply put that was dark side 'magic'. If you think of a bar magnet the Jedi draw from the side that pushes while the Sith draw from the side that pulls." She suspected that wasn't what he meant.

"I was not aware people were so angry... but their anger seems misplaced," she responded.

"It wasn't long ago Imps were fighting them or their brothers or fathers or daughters. We can sign treaties but that doesn't stop them from being the enemy that killed your wife or maybe destroyed your home. Those Wounds take a long time to heal Princess." He said as he approached and bowed slightly "I am Omandri Rist is everyone OK? Besides some shaken nerves?"

"I was not aware people were so angry... but their anger seems misplaced," she responded.

"There is plenty to be angry about, but you are right that it's misplaced if the people direct it at House Panteer. The association with House Thul pulls at the wounds caused by the Sith, princess, I must say if I'm being honest."

"Ah, Dr. Rist. It has been a long time." Bran nods respectfully. "I think neither shoe nor cabbage has done as much as the raw emotions from that street performer over there," he adds, tossing a glare toward Tuvi that the man won't see as he's holding court.

The Count wasn't finding anything distinct or warranting immediate action among the crowd...

"Ah, Dr. Rist. It has been a long time." Bran nods respectfully. "I think neither shoe nor cabbage has done as much as the raw emotions from that street performer over there," he adds, tossing a glare toward Tuvi that the man won't see as he's holding court.

Omandri hadn't quite noticed the man before "Ah .....Captain? Ulgo was it? Sorry it's been a while and I met so many officers keeping ranks straight was a challenge."

"You're right, but I won't be convinced that every person from Imperial space wants to do us harm, they have an awful government, but the people... the people can be good and caring too," she said.

Turning back to Jameela he nodded "Certainly people are not a monolith but when you're at war, and at war for as long as we have been it is natural to develop an us vs them mentality. I respect your position princess but what you are looking to do takes time more than anything. And some people's hatred runs deep enough that it may never heal."

[Count Serenno]

He would remember the woman's face in case she had criminal intentions and would later be sought by the law enforcement. It wouldn't be unexpected for opportunists to act during the ruckus. It reminded him of guarding his own possessions closely as he pressed on.
