[Day 1 - EN] Monday Night Huttball

Cynella, in an effort to move the conversation away from such thoughts, decided to ask the prince, "I've heard that hikes on this planet are a sight worth seeing. Do you have any suggestions for scenic routes?"

As a particular exciting run begins after a turnover, Zeno starts getting excited. He leans forward in his seat and slaps the bar... not to hard... a few times as the anticipation builds. "Yes, yes, yes... here it comes..."

And then denied by the Frog Dogs. The player got clothes-lined mid air and went end over end losing the ball. "Aww... really? Almost."

He sits back in his chair again.

"Amateur Huttball commentator not payin' th bills?" He asks jokingly as he takes a long sip of his beer. "Ah'm only new round these parts, but ah got a little connection with th' Ulgo's, if y' think that might help yer employment situation?"

"Commentator? You wound me sir."

She put her hand to her chest.

"I was a scorer for Vyliis' Valkyries back in Hutt Space. Only for one season, but still."

"Then 't appears ahm in th' presence of a celebrity." Garth teases slightly.

"Might this humble fan trouble the lady fer an autograph?" He asks as he pulls his datapad out from an inside jacket pocket.

Her eyebrows went up a little, "An Ulgo from Alderaan watching minor league Hutt space Huttball, hm? Color me surprised. But I will admit, I wouldn't have participated if it wasn't good watching."

She took the datapad and did indeed sign it, just as asked even.

"Certainly no one in my House was watching anything like that. Though it might have done them some good I think to see that I'm not some frail fainting flower and that I can take care of myself."

"Now ah don' lay claim t' being a big thinker," Garth admits as he receives the datapad graciously. "But even ah know it's a mistake t' underestimate a beautiful woman."

"Although ah must offer one correction, an Ulgo ah may be, but ah were raised on Onderon, so ah may have developed a few bad habits the fancy folk may not consider proper."

"Now ah don' lay claim t' being a big thinker," Garth admits as he receives the datapad graciously. "But even ah know it's a mistake t' underestimate a beautiful woman."

A slight chuckle, "I'm both disappointed and flattered at the same time. I will take being called beautiful, after all. But it's so much more fun when most people underestimate what I am capable of. It's part of the surprise, after all, no?"

Arsele took a sip of her whiskey, "And they're only bad habits if you believe they're bad habits, you know. Half the time, I think the habits of Alderaanian noble society are the poisonous ones. Only half though, don't get me wrong."

Omandri nodded he recognized that sadness, seen before. Seen it in himself at times. It was a look some veterans got thinking about their service. It also explained all the drinks.

"Well yeah that makes sense, it's originally what sports were meant to do. Be a...well less violent means to replace war. You have localized teams, uniforms, tactics and commanders. It satisfies the sentient desire for competition and dominance without too much bloodshed. Most cultures have games like huttball and others that fill this role." He took a drink and put his glass down with a slightly embarrassed smile. It seemed while he may have been a little smooth he was also a bit of a nerd "but excuse me I'm rambling on about sociology and anthropology. I'm sure I'm boring you to death."

She leaned on her arm sipping gingerly on the Sarlacc Kicker. Feeling more at peace with each passing sentence. "Ramble on handsome, you look cute when you're nervous. And I've always been a sucker for a know it all." She teased mercilessly.

He chuckled a bit, maybe a bit of flush to his cheeks? With his darker skin it was hard to tell, could have been the drinks maybe. But he recovered well enough "Well I wouldn't say I know it all. Just most of it." He said with a wink.

He said with a mischievous smirk "normally I'd offer to buy you a drink about now but it seems the Panteers have beat me to it by making the bar free for the festival." He said indicating another round of drinks to the bartender.

He paused for a moment looking at her for a moment his eyes wandering her again before he let out a soft groan "ugh I'd love to but I'm sorry to say I already promised a friend I would help them tonight after the game."

He leaned in closer to her kissing her furred cheek he pulled back a little but stayed close, only a breath away looking into her eyes "rain check?" He asked his voice quieter and a little deeper than it had been before.

"But I digress. I'm sure you'll find that I am not lacking in either endurance or drive." Was there going to be a wink? Most certainly.

Riss watches Joran shake off the fog. Sitting with the thought she has, looking ahead toward the screen. Glass raises up, liquid pours into her mouth, she swallows. It's all a bit mechanical for a brief moment as a decision is reached. Shaking her head she takes another drink, alike a swig of the beer, and then turns and stands from her seat.

Coming up to Cynella she puts her hand on the woman's forearm, "I'll be back" she promises. Glances to Joran her lips part to say something but she doesn't, and instead just gives one of her trademark smiles. Without lingering too long she slips away from the central point and makes her way out closer toward the pool where she could get some fresher air.

Even in my time as a dancer, the motto fits; Don't give away everything. Leave em wondering, and wanting to know more. Though I suppose that can't apply to everything; Certainly can't hold back while flying, most of the time. Especially in your profession."

A gentlem'n don' kiss n tell, but ah've left a few ladies who thought a trip in a star fighter'd be cool thinkin' better of it before ah learned t' tone it down."

He shrugs his shoulders and grins.

"Sudden death, you say? I didn't know there was a court so close by," Cynella said, twisting her lips playfully. "I can't say I'm well aware of the intricacies of the game, though if a game is coming up soon, I suppose some practice is in order."
