[Day 8 - LA] Royal Review

[Kellen Rist]

Kellen bowed his head. "I would be honoured your majesty. To see such a unique part of our history on display here, it will be uplifting. And the relics can finally be examined together for the first time. Thank you."

[Galen Sol]

Galen smiled. "Good work, professor."

[Kellen Rist]

"Oh. Thank you Galen." Kellen seemed rather pleased and when he looked around he noticed the Prince of Mount Joral was standing close to the gathering. Aurilie was wearing a rather fabulous outfit! He took a step to the side to make sure she was able to be more easily welcomed into the conversation.

[Aurilie Alde]

Aurilie had kept quiet, perhaps assuming that Kellen was leading the royal family on a tour around the museum. She raised her brows at the first did take the invitation that was offered. "Good afternoon, Queen Solara and Princess Jameela, everyone. It seems like you've gone on quite a quest and you've been quite busy, Ser Rist. It would be good to see these vases for myself once they're back alongside the rest of history here. Admittedly, I hadn't known there was a history with the founding of Alderaan. I was on the assumption that came much later after the planet was settled."

Well there was a baited hook that would catch a Professor!

Kellen's eyes sparkled for a moment and his smile grew. "Then you are in for a treat. Not much has survived from that period, which is why these pieces are so interesting, but we do have some historical events to work from. Thre are probably many more out there waiting to be rediscovered. Enough to fill the lifetimes of several Professors at least."

Of course he also knew that some of the history had been found and then suppressed. Perhaps he would break down some of those doors one of these days.

[Aurilie Alde]

"Even historical events too? Very impressive," she nodded, if in some slightly begrudging manner on the topic. "Initially, I would have imagined that they were merely art pieces, perhaps a liberal of interpretation of a quaint peace that could be enjoyed with the other denizens of Alderaan. If there had been actually previous attempts to arrange a relationship between each other...it's a bit curious how we go from there to the rather distant relationship we have today. It seems to give the idea that something especially conflicting both the settlers and the killiks that lasting peace isn't possible."

[Galen Sol]

"The killik themselves don't remember the initial contact with outsiders." Galen said. "Not the hive we spoke with, at least. They suggested that only an older hive might know, but couldn't tell us what hive that might be. They don't seem to get along with one another."

Galen smiled. "Good work, professor."

"Good work?" she said with an arched brow, "is this some scheme we are not aware of?"

Standing a short distance away Kellen notices a familiar face from the Rist family, Baroness Fila Rist a master assassin. Pushing nearly sixty but thanks to Star Wars tech and cybernetics obviously looking spry and young. She’s one of the best and not a lover of art…

Seeing the Queen and company she turned and seemed surprised to see Kellen, but masked it away as she approached.

[Galen Sol]

"Good work?" she said with an arched brow, "is this some scheme we are not aware of?"

"No, your Majesty." Galen shook his head. "I know Professor Rist has doing a lot of research on the vases and been trying to track them down. I've not spoken with him about them directly, until now, only hearing about his efforts through Jedi Baesal Zyn. I merely wished to compliment him for all he has done."

[Jameela Panteer]

Jameela chimed in, “Galen is hardly a schemer, mother.”

[Galen Sol]

"There are things I hope for." he offered the Queen an apologetic bow. "And, I wish only to prove worthy of them."

[Aurilie Alde]

"I had assumed that all of the hives worked in tandem with each other and think alike, especially considering their recruiting practices." She said with a slight tilt of her head. "Maybe we might have missed a great war among their kind, wiped off one of their tribes from Alderaan in the process. It would be very curious to hear whatever happened to them."

[Kellen Rist]

Kellen nodded at Galen's response to the Queen. "It is as Galen says your majesty. I know that Jedi Zyn has been examining possibilities for peaceful contact with the killik." He was about to follow up on the killik topic when...

"Oh, Baroness, what a delightful surprise. How nice to see you!" Kellen smiled warmly as she approached.

“Oh, Professor, it’s a pleasure,” she said with a casual smile as her Disruptor pistol came to hand and she fired three tights shots but the Queen dove quickly for cover and she seemed surprised that she missed as she back flipped and then ducked behind a display as two more Rist Assassins came rushing down the hall followed by Ulgo Troopers.

“Sorry, Kellen, Duchess’ orders… run if you want,” Fila said casually.

OOC: She missed, lucky queen. 3 advantage to knock the Queen prone, 3 for a maneuver to take cover. 1 from Superior, boost next ally. Initiative Please. Baroness Rist (Nemesis) is Adversary 2 with Defense 1 at Short using Dodge 2 and behind Cover so 2 setback total, Master Assassins x2 (Rival) have Defense 1 at Medium, 2 Ulgo Trooper squads of 5 apiece at medium as well.

Master Assassin #2 advanced to Short of the group due to Triumph.
