[Layne Hoshin]

The Sunset Dawn once again headed for the Rist estate. This time, hopefully, things wouldn't be so hostile. Or maybe they'd be *more so*, but at least *without* the whole house wanting to kill her at the behest of the Duchess. At the same time, Tyche would probably join her master again; now that the vendetta had been concluded and she had gone through her reflections and what not.

Of course, Captain Alderaan was there too. On Layne's ship. Which, probably was a little awkward. Hopefully, Tyche hadn't seen that video. *That* would be especially awkward. Although, even without that possibility, things were still a little awkward.

"We land in five," Layne said coming back from the cockpit to the common room where Niall might've been waiting.

"...uhm." She looked like she was going to say something else. "...right."

[Niall Organa]

Niall was, in fact, waiting in the common room. All strapped in and ready to go. And perhaps more to terms with what happened than Layne was.

"It's over, isn't it?" Niall sighed, shaking his head. "It's okay, Layne. I understand. We can never be. Like two ships passing in the night, except first they bump into each other a lot." Again, he shook his head, mock-sadly.

[Layne Hoshin]

She cocked her head, giving him a *look* that was hard to interpret.

"You realize this ship is probably bugged too, right? You just gave them more audio to work with. Splice it up into whatever they want."

Layne'd been trying to be delicate about the whole thing, but if that's how he was going to play it...

"...of course, at this point who cares? We might as well just go all the way."

[Niall Organa]

"Hah." Niall said, crossing his arms over his chest. "It's clear they have all the audio they need of me. Your voice, though, I'm pretty sure they faked a bit. At least, I'm pretty sure you never told anyone to... well, never mind." Niall cleared his throat, reddening just a little.

"What, really give them something to talk about?" Niall grinned, then looked at her, eyebrows going up. "Ummm... I hope I'm not intruding, but I gather a lot of Jedi don't think about people that way." He looked at her, unwilling to actually turn that into a question, even if the 'do you' was fairly obvious.

[Layne Hoshin]

She was a little pleased that she'd manage to turn his attempt to embarras her back on himself, but did end up giving a small sigh at the rest.

"You of all people should know the Jedi aren't all like that. Most of us make sure we don't get too involved and *attached*, but that doesn't mean we don't do stuff or tell people to... whatever part of that you were referencing. Mostly I just make sure that it doesn't involve people I ever have to see again. Not only does it make it easy to avoid attachments, but it's also just less hassle that way."

[Niall Organa]

"Right." Niall said. He was silent for a few moments. "I suppose I wasn't really asking about Jedi generally. After all, I'm married to one. I know many others. I was more asking about you, Layne."

He nodded. "If you have a system that works, great." He smiled, raising his hands. "Don't worry, I won't try to talk to you about partners, or try to set you up with my brother or anything. Just, well, I'm glad everything's okay."

[Layne Hoshin]

"Don't tell me you," she raised a brow, "...got... *ideas* in your head from that video?"

To be fair, she got some ideas herself, but still... awkward

[Niall Organa]

"I mean, nothing inappropriate." Niall said, looking back at her, blushing just a little bit. He cleared his throat. "I just mean, well, we've talked a number of times, but we've never talked about that sort of thing. Relationships." He clarified helpfully.

He spread his hands. "As an officer, I don't press, of course. But, well, I was at Vera's wedding, for instance. A Mandalorian wedding. What a time that was. Just, if you ever wanted to talk..." He smiled at her.

[Dapper Dog]

They are cleared to land, a party will meet the on the landing pad.

[Layne Hoshin]

She rolled her eyes. "Actually, we have. You had me explain how it works among the Sith back on Bankor when you were flirting with Lunda. You really do have a thing for Jedi, huh?"

At that point, she turned around and walked back to the cockpit. Of course, partially that was because they were about to land. And partially it was to maximize the effect of her parry. Layne did have a sense of humor... even if other people didn't always find it as funny as she did.

And so, the ship would land.

[Niall Organa]

Niall grinned at her. "Fine, fine. I understand. Still, I'm serious. Consider my door open."

He settled back into his seat, waiting for them to land.

[Omandri Rist]

Part of that party would be Dr. Rist. Omandri stood on the landing pad with the rest of the contingent House Rist had thought to send to meet the jedi who was becoming some of a frequent visitor to their humble estate.

He was dressed smartly in simple but obvious clothing of quality with his signature jacket over the top. He stood tapping on a datapad until he heard the ship come in and start to land he, stowed the device and locked his hands behind his back waiting for their guests to arrive.

[Dapper Dog]

There were low ranking House Rist guardsman and the bull of a man and machine, Baron Olak Rist in his crisp uuniform. Once the craft landed and the ramp down he greeted the folks, “Ah Major Organa, it is I, Baron Rist and this is Omandri Rist, brother of our Duchess. Your visit not so expected, but welcome.”

[Niall Organa]

Walking down the ramp, Niall smiled as he saw not one, but two familiar faces. "Baron Olak." He said. "It is good to see you again. I swear, I can still feel a little ache from that workout the other day."

He turned to Omandri. "Lord Rist. And it's good to see you, too. Thank you for your service yesterday, defending the Prince. It's always good to see Alderaanians standing up to protect others from harm."

[Layne Hoshin]

And there of course was Layne. She did not know this Baron. He seemed overly built to her, though. Omandri of course, was at least somewhat familiar. If only by face.

"Layne Hoshin, Jedi Knight," she said for the sake of the Baron, before looking to Omandri.

"My ship's holo-comms seemed to suffer a setback the other day during our call. I could not re-connect to the address no matter what I tried."

[Omandri Rist]

Omandri smirked a little at the Baron as he did introductions he had long been fond of the big fella but he turned to a more full friendly smile as Niall addressed him "Of Course Major, the people are understandably unsettled but violence is never the answer to those kinds of things. I'm just glad nobody got to hurt." He said with a shallow bow of greeting.

Then he turned to Layne and gave her the same smile it seemed more genuine than the one she saw during the holocall but could just have been the hologram he gave her an appraising look "yes.....that was unfortunate, technical difficulties but I've spoken with my sister about it.shouldnt happen again."

He chuckled a little "I hope you didn't fly all the way out here and drag the Major with you just over that. I had planned to come talk to you somewhere closer to the festival."

[Layne Hoshin]

"Hmmm, is that so?" She asked, looking at Omandri rather intently. "It seemed to be a little more than technical difficulties. We were actually hoping we might speak with one of your computer specialists about it actually. I believe... Bryson Rist would be the name?"

[Omandri Rist]

Omandri shrugged a little "I've spoken with Bryson about it and worked it out. Matter should be dealt with but if you want to speak with him yourself we could see if he is around."

[Layne Hoshin]

She gave Niall a look, then turned to Omandri again. "I think that would be best."

[Dapper Dog]

Olak said, “You for Bryson, yes? Not here, probably off with family before the Duchess goes on the cruise. Not sure why you need him, he don’t do much field work. You here for mortality, yes? Never worked with Jedi but we do good work.”
