After the signal suddenly cut Omandri stared at the holo, springing forward and fiddling with it to try and figure out why the line had gone dead. And if there was any way to reestablish the connection. (Assuming he gets a similar result to Layne in her thread)

He will frustratedly throw down the device and storm off to find his sister.

Bryson stopped him on the way and said, “We need to talk… just before you reach your sister.”

The Doctor stopped short a muddled mix of emotions on his face, anger becoming more prevalent among them "Bryson? What?" He took a deep breath the edge of the anger blunted in his voice "what is it?"

“Before you get angry just know your sister meant well… but she had… well since you got her had me monitoring your communications. I don’t think it’s personal but I did feel bad about having to… cut short your call. Especially when it came to your sister,” he said grimacing.

“I just, just that things are complicated. For everyone.”

Well that isn't quite what he was hoping to hear "She what!?" He exploded "Kriffing spies and assassins can't even trust the kriffing computer guy!" He exclaimed "so through all that hanging out you've been monitoring me and never felt it important to tell me? Basically lying to me. And why did you need to cut me short with the jedi? What is being kept from me Bryson?" Omandri was not a violent man but his knuckles popped a little with how hard he balled his hands into fists. His emotions were on edge.

He raised his hands and said, “Whoah, whoah, when the Duchess speaks, I can’t just say I have a crisis of conscious, man. She was afraid you would give too much away to the Jedi and weakened our position, frankly I probably should have stepped in sooner but I wanted to give you the benefit of the doubt man.”

“I don’t enjoy listening to your private life, I really don’t. I’m sorry, I really am.”

His expression softened and then darkened "you're right Bryson, I'm sorry, my anger is misplaced. You're not the one that I'm upset with." His voice had cooled several degrees but his mood hadn't improved "and I wasn't planning on giving her anything but she already knows more than I do, as you know."

He stepped aside, "Well umm... good luck, and I am sorry."

He takes another centering breath "it's OK Bryson you're just following orders." He said clapping the other man on the shoulder. He gave the computer tech a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes but was genuine enough "you owe me a drink though. If I survive that it." He said before letting his hand fall.

With that Omandri turned toward the rest of the estate and his mood got stormier as he walked hunting down his sister so they could have a talk.

He found her in her office just as she ended a holo-call. Giandra said, "Omandri, how did it go?"

His attitude was dark but no longer explosively angry "Oh why don't you ask Bryson how it went?" He asked somewhat sarcastically "as you saw fit to have him monitor me since I arrived and didn't think it was important to tell me."

“Forgive me for making sure you still had the stones to be a Rist. And it seems like I made the right move, I don’t trust the Jedi and I definitely don’t need them knowing they have one over on us. I kind of want to just kill her on principle alone,” she said defiantly.

“I do what I have to do to protect House Rist, I make no apologies. I can’t.”

She frowned and said, “The planet stands close to war, the slightest match will set this whole thing ablaze. That’s good but mostly bad for our business.”

Omandri practically growled at the response "Dammit Giandra I was still learning things. Who gives a kriff if the jedi knows she knows more than us! If she can give us answers on what is happening with Vidara then we should get that information!"

His eyes narrowed "unless you've known more than you told me this whole time and you're just keeping me in the dark."

“I don’t know anything about Vidara, I suspected Galen might have had other ties… and well this stuff about a conspiracy… it’s the kind of stuff that gets you dead. We have enough problems without worrying about daggers in the dark from people we have no business kriffing with,” she admitted.

"What do you mean no business kriffing with! These people have or are being led by Vidara! Our sister!" He slammed a fist down on the desk a slight cracking sound was heard.

"You always claim what you do is for the family, well she is our family she is our little sister! You can turn your back on her but I won't. And if I die, we'll I guess that's two siblings you won't have to worry about." He nearly spat as he straightened himself and turned to leave.

"You don't know that," she said back trying to remain calm.

He spun on her "Give me something better then, give me any other good lead that might lead to her. Trustworthy or not someone is giving me information and my family who I am supposed to be able to trust is keeping me in the dark and spending time and resources monitoring me."

He took a deep breath trying to bring himself to center failing mostly but not entirely "if there is even a chance that this information will tell us where she is then I'm pulling on this thread. If you find something better then I'll follow that. Until then help me or get out of my way."

"Fine, chase the Jedi lead, but they are not going to help you find her. They are going to kill her," she replied.

"Not if I can find her first and convince her to stop and come home." He replied defiantly

"Fine," she put down a data chit for her brother.
