[Day 4 - LA] The Beach Episode (Twin Event?)

Frustration was the clear feeling he was having with talking to her. Though it was mostly towards his own self, and not at anyone in particular. Though there is was a very active attempt to suppress that feeling within him.

"Socialize. Durasay usually does it more than I do, so I watched and learned. It has helped.me some and have learnt to do it better with your humans over the years."

It was likely he had lost the chance to talk about the event. He had to get better that this.

"Durasay... I think I've heard that name before somewhere," she looked thoughtful for a moment. Half of her attempting to remember where she'd heard the name, and half contemplating the nature of socializing. In the first place, what even *is* socia--no. Best not go down that road.

"Socializing with humans isn't really that difficult though, you know."

Intrigued, Jocasta responds, "The mission doesn't have to be my way, I've always been open to recommendations from my troopers, but I have neither seen an alternative nor been offered one. What I have seen is Alderaan on the precipice and certain parties are pushing it towards that edge rather than trying to pull it back.

I had some assumptions and some intentions when I heard about the events behind the Festival and spoke with my family about participating, but I myself was relieved of some of my misconceptions recently as well. So as for what I personally am going to do, that is up in the air for the moment.

What I do know is I can not sit idly by while our peace is threatened... can you?"

"No. And I'm not," he says matter-of-factly. "Peace must prevail, here and in the rest of the Republic. To keep Alderaan safe we must respond to the concerns of the people, to make sure they aren't taken in by holonet trolls like Tuvi what's-his-name... The people will support leaders who are looking out for them. I'm sure the queen understands and will make moves to show she's being appropriately responsive."

Lana was fashionably late, but she had not seen the beach since she had arrived and figured this would be a good chance to be seen and observe these people in a more relaxed environment. She removed her robe to reveal a white mono-kini of scandalous design she applied some protection and then laid out placing shades over her golden eyes.

Alderaan did have some charm.

[Niall Organa]

Handing his empty cup to a passing droid waiter who would be in need of a thorough oil bath to deal with the sand sure to be clogging his gears by the end of the day, Garth nodded his head.

"Ah've been givin' some thought t' that of late. Ah think it's time fer me t' return to the fold. If mah old commission's still available, might try'n shoot fer them Tenant stripes."

Niall's eyebrows went up in pleased surprised. "That sounds very fine, Garth. Very fine indeed." He smiled. "Let me know if you'd like for me to put in a good word anywhere. I know you're a good soldier, and a good man besides."

"Well.... if yer offerin'...an' if Ghost Squadron's recruitin'?" Garth hinted shamelessly.

Looking back to her, he continued. "To your point, you say that as one. " He said rather bluntly, but still not very emotional. "From my perspective, there is a lot of dancing around points, not really getting to the point. Don't get me started on your constant use of colloquialisms in your sentences." Even he has used them a few times while speaking Basic; there was just this constant need of it otherwise you would never be taken seriously when you spoke.

"Not to mention the need to understand the emotions within your words. Cheun at least expresses such feelings thru our words directly. There is no need to question intention if I were to say 'Ch'ah cssuzah vah sisco vim tan'rah ven csarcican't tuz ch'a bun'ahn von'ot.'. Very simple and direct, leaving no questions. Unlike this whole festival." His tone was still calm as he spoke, very matter-of-factly about it, but he was satisfied.

He turned around and noticed scantily clad woman enter and immediately turned his head back around, his eyes a little widened.

"She must really enjoy the sunlight on her skin."

[Jocasta Teraan]

"No. And I'm not," he says matter-of-factly. "Peace must prevail, here and in the rest of the Republic. To keep Alderaan safe we must respond to the concerns of the people, to make sure they aren't taken in by holonet trolls like Tuvi what's-his-name... Oh, and Tuvi Kirns is dead. I suppose we can thank the Duke's friends in House Rist. They've removed the troll, but have probably created a martyr."

She blinked, then looked at the *sith* entering, and listened to the comment.

"Yeah I don't think that's why she's dressed that way."

Omandri had finished up the game of volleyball and was mingling about as he heard the family name. Wandered over to see the two serious peoples talking about serious things "if you think Tuvi was a Rist job you don't know much about them. I hate what they do but I can recognize second rate, heavy handed work when I see it."

"But this certainly seems like not the thing to talk about while enjoying a day out on the beach." He said with a smile to Brannis and Jocasta. "There's plenty of time to deal with politics and pointing fingers."

"Omandri Rist, I don't believe we've met." He said extending a hand to Jocasta maintaining a friendly open expression

Bran shakes his head, looking at Jocasta with some disappointment.

"Manufactured concern? You think the people who spent a year fighting the Sith tooth and nail on their homeworld aren't really concerned about House Thul and Sith influence here?" The pilot's tone is incredulous. "Alderaanians fought and bled and lost loved ones to drive off the Sith invasion. No amount of propaganda," he says scornfully, signing air quotes with one hand, "will change their mind about that fact. They don't need opportunists like Kirns to remind them. They need voices of reason, leaders who say, 'Yes, the Sith are the problem, and here's how we keep Alderaan safe.' We can't tell people, 'Things are fine, just quiet down' -- that's playing right into the hands of the provocateurs by confirming the noble houses are out of touch." All of Bran's words are said with the earnestness of a man who thinks about few topics beyond this.

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

One he had his fill of the game Prince Gaul Panteer got another sexy on the beach and then did the walk-through party meeting with old friends and new. Taking sips of his drink and just enjoying the ambiance of a good time.

Thirst-Trap Technique.

“Nice suit, Kataryzna,” he said. “Dig that serve, Omandri.” He sipped his drink and said, “This strong woman, must be Layne, pleasure.”

In general he just liked to be seen.

Kat took a drink as well to hydrate after a round of activity. "Ah... thank you..." at least this time her face was naturally red from the game. "Nice playing."

Niall smiled. "I'll put in a word. The rest will be up to you."

He looked around, his expression cheerful enough, even as he saw various folks making various sorts of scenes. Brannis and someone getting into an argument. A Sith in a revealing swimsuit. Gaul doing his usual thing, drawing eyes. Stupid sexy Gaul.

Kat took a drink as well to hydrate after a round of activity. "Ah... thank you..." at least this time her face was naturally red from the game. "Nice playing."

"Thanks, master Jedi," he responded. "Mind doing me a favor? I could use a little protection on my back, you mind?" he said holding out the skin protector.

It or him, maybe both, smelled nice.

[Aurilie Alde]

When the game got underway, Aurilie would do her best in navigating through the game. It was an unusual activity for her and most of the challenge was about navigating through the sand. After a few steps in, the sandals didn't really do much for her as sand did a good job of getting everywhere by some natural design. She didn't allow that from distracting her too much, although she might have been overzealous and going after the ball. It did very much to bring that competitive spirit in her.

"Whoa!" She could call out when she quick side-stepped to intercept the ball and volley it in the air, then made the call to have it spiked. "Go! Go!"

She would jump a few times in attempts to defend their side, perhaps bouncing off the net. "Ooof!"

At the end of the game, she was catching her breath and then went to get herself something refreshing for her efforts. "Good game everyone, An honour, really."

She followed the pointing and *still* didn't recognize... wait a minute... ooooh.

He looked back at the woman again, then back at Layne. "Then why expose yourself so much like she is? Does she want others to stare at her?"

"The doublespeak of a politician is possibly deadlier than a soldier's blaster. First you tell me that trolls like Tuvi are taking advantage of the people but then rebuke me for questioning of the legitimacy of his cause that he pushed on the people. His agenda, or perhaps the Duke's agenda?

Or, Major Ulgo, is it your stance that Tuvi speaks for the people? That Queen Solara is weak and that Duke Ulgo needs to replace her?" Jocasta asks incensed.

"You talk about the influence of House Thul and the Empire. I had some expectations in coming to the Spring Palace, but all I have seen is House Thul acting as honorable nobles of Alderaan while the name of House Ulgo was used to attack the Prince. Just two days ago, their Duke personally accompanied a group to assist House Syrush with a killik infestation. Where was House Ulgo when House Syrush needed aide?

While I do not trust the Empire and am not fooled by their diplomacy, their delegates have acted in full accordance of diplomatic mission as far as I have seen. It makes one wonder who is the greater threat to Alderaan currently, an Imperial diplomatic delegation, or a disloyal House?"

Incensed from the discussion with Major Ulgo, Jocasta responds tersely.

"I am not personally familiar with the events surrounding Tuvi's death, nor with the pride with which underhanded assassins complete their work."

"Freed from inhibitions indeed," Garth muttered to himself as he watched Lana stretch out on the sand in her skimpy outfit before turning his attention back to Niall and Breela.

"If y' can get me an audition, ah'll do th' convincing." Garth answers with typical flyboy bravado.

Incensed from the discussion with Major Ulgo, Jocasta responds tersely.

"I am not personally familiar with the events surrounding Tuvi's death, nor with the pride with which underhanded assassins complete their work."

"Well a bit to unpack there, A you clearly don't listen when people talk. I don't take pride in "underhanded assassins" but merely know what things look like and this is clearly very public, clearly assassination, and House Rist would be more subtle about it."

"And B it seems pretty irresponsible to make conclusions about an event that you aren't familiar with the facts of." He explained calmly in the face of her rudness and bad attitude.

"Plus I again question the choice to discuss heavy and dark topics when we have all come here to enjoy a relaxing day at the beach."

He could tell she was raising an eyebrow, even behind the shades hiding most of her eyes. "As you wish, your highness," she said, a brief smirk before taking the protector. She was at the moment very happy for her Jedi training letting her keep a calm appearance, because inside she was giddy as a schoolgirl. So any drama that was happening at the beach was unnoticed by her now.

Completely in her own world.
