[Day 4 - LA] The Beach Episode (Twin Event?)

[Nudimsu]

She blinked a few times as he made such a clinical analysis of it, but shrugged it off after a moment or two.

"Peripherally. I used to be on her side and she was in at least one place of importance at the same time I was. Never really interacted with her though. Though I did manage to ruin the breakfast of her old boss once."

"I was too, I suppose. Though, thru the Ascendency, of course and not from some Force." He said, turning his attention back at Layne. "So, if you are worried about some preconceived judgement on my end for you being part of it, you needn't be. But, more to the point, you ruined a breakfast for, what I am assuming is, a Sith Lord? That sounds like quite the amusing tale, actually." He smiled and stared at her, blinking a few times before quietly sighing. "I imagine they did not take it well, then." He finally sat in a lounge chair nearby and got comfortable. "You humans consider it the most important meal, as I've heard; quite the serious strike against her employer."

It was nice to be out of the suit. Galen wasn't much for crowds or parties, but a chance to swim and to relax was a welcome opportunity. A drink wouldn't be bad, either.

[Count Serenno]

Having finished the swim, the Count emerged from the surf, squeezed off the water from his hair and proceeded toward the beach, looking at the game with interest.

[Layne Hoshin]

"I was too, I suppose. Though, thru the Ascendency, of course and not from some Force." He said, turning his attention back at Layne. "Darth. A Sith Lord is lower in rank than a Darth. A Darth is, basically the equivalent of a Jedi Master. Putting it simplistically. But yes. Her old boss, don't know if he was actually her master or what, obviously liked his food. You know, since he was rather fat. I shouldn't joke about that maybe. But he was. But, I got away with it because I worked for more important people than him, so..." she shrugged "...what can I say. Doubt it ever made its way back to her though. From what I recall she was, not very important back then. But who knows... maybe that was just a ruse and she was more important than was let on. Can never tell with Sith."

[Nudimsu]

He nodded his head and noted the correction mentally. "Whether you should joke about it or not does not change the fact he was; likely relied too much on the Force to do anything physical, I take it. So, the conclusion is that there is little to no chance for vengeance on her end. One less thing for you to worry about." Nudimsu nodded his head and glanced at her. "Except you leaving the Empire in general. Sith seem to be rather emotional about everything and take everything personally. Though, they can be occasionally be logically. Based on that, she would not agreeable to your decision to turncoat. If, for any reason she were to care about you, it'd be to make herself look good and capture you to improve her own status among her peers." Nudimsu nodded his head, agreeing with his own logical conclusion.

"The Ascendency works in a similar way, although we do not make it a practice to kill those people after we have obtained what we wanted from them. We either have them work for redemption or exile those types of people."

[Dapper Dog]

“Thanks, master Jedi,” he said looking over his shoulder. “Skin care is important, grabbing another drink. Want one?”

"I don't think the Sith are gonna try capturing me," she said, not taking the conversation serious *at all*. "Least of all her. I mean look at her, that is *not* the physique of someone with a well-honed daily lightsaber training regimen."

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

“Thanks, master Jedi,” he said looking over his shoulder. “Skin care is important, grabbing another drink. Want one?”

"One can never be too careful with sunburns." She took a moment to watch everyone mill around and talk. Beach Club was way better than those formal events.

"Yes, please. I'll take another drink."

[Riss]

Setting down in a spot on the beach near Lana, Riss turned at the waist to get a good look at Kat. Riss was now wearing a straw hat and a pair of vibrant green glasses which she managed to charm off total strangers of unimportance. Drink in hand she let it sit just near her face for a sip as she locked eyes through the shades with Kat for a moment. Head tilting down so that a view of her eyes comes up from behind the glasses, making that lock and smirking. Once made she lifts her head back up, the eyes disappear behind the shades, and she sips slowly at her drink.

Eventually, resting her head back down with a self-satisfied grin. Taking in the rays.

[Omandri Rist]

Aurilie chuckled a little at that. "There is much inspiration found competition. After the Huttball event, it makes me almost wish that there are more occasions for team sports. However, I have to admit that my success might be attributed to my team captain, Miss Riss. She's done a great deal at roping people in together." Her head would turn slightly as she seemingly wanted to point out Riss in case the gentleman didn't know her.

She took a sip from her drink and smiled a touch proudly. "Honestly, I do find it pleasantly surprising that a few people have mentioned my kingdom by name but I will be glad you tell you about my land...the territories of Mount Jarol are situated in the remote areas of the Juran Mountains, on the other side of wayfarer's pass, practically on the other side of the mountains. Most of the kingdom is found on the valley and along the river, although my estates are situated right on the mountains themselves. With how far north and high we are, it shouldn't be surprising that we do find ourselves neighboring large stretches of untamed wilderness made up of pine forests, mountains, and even bits of tundra. We make due by coexisting with the land however we can and have done so for several generations to this day. Our winters are admittedly long too and we've just started our spring now."

Omandri had a small smile on his lips as she indicated Riss "Yeah, Riss has a way of doing that. Can be very charismatic when she wants to be." he said with a small chuckle "But the whole team on both sides performed well from what I saw out there. A good bit of sporting competition." he said chuckling a little.

He sipped on his drink and listened to her talk with an interested gaze, he smiled as she described her home, Omandri had a fondness for listening to people describe things or subjects with which they were familiar. He found it to be an endearing quality, perhaps because it was one he possessed where he liked to go in depth on subjects he cared about. "Well they certainly sound like interesting and beautiful lands indeed, I should like to visit them sometime. I find much of Alderaan, while beautiful, to be too tame for my taste. It sounds like your lands are more similar to many planets I have visited in recent years."

[Dapper Dog]

"One can never be too careful with sunburns." She took a moment to watch everyone mill around and talk. Beach Club was way better than those formal events.

"Yes, please. I'll take another drink."

"Got it," he said.

Moments later a droid approached, it's little treads moving through the sand and presenting her with a drink. Gaul was waylaid speaking with other members of Beach Club.

"I don't think the Sith are gonna try capturing me," she said, not taking the conversation serious *at all*. "Least of all her. I mean look at her, that is *not* the physique of someone with a well-honed daily lightsaber training regimen."

"Well, as I said, should she have any interest in you. Quite possible she does not. Only following the logical conclusions, after all." Nudimsu said this and stands up, taking another long look at the Sith's body, followed by turning his head and gazing at Layne's body and nods his heads.

"I would agree with you, Layne. Of the two, yours is much more physically maintained and suitable. By your wounds, it also showcases you are able to a keep constant check on your conditioning." It was all logic, after all. "And, as you said, if her master was excessive in size, it would be likely she would have picked up similar practices to rely less on physical activity, which is quite the folly, in my opinion." He nods. "Though her condition showcases her to be more lean and muscular, much like my own frame. I obviously lack several things she has, of course." He was still wearing a shirt and shorts, so his own frame was rather hidden.

He paused for a moment and looked her over again, thinking to himself. "Perhaps, should the opportunity arise again to enjoy the beach and the sun, you should also wear a scantily clad swimwear to display your physique more. Establish dominance over her by showcasing your hard work and training." He nodded at his statement, continuing to look at her, thinking about it.

Hacha has been enjoying that beer a good bit, relaxing as he finally makes the connection. "Oh yeah! You're the one who was with the girl who had the stiffs break her arm. How did all that work out?"

"Well, as I said, should she have any interest in you. Quite possible she does not. Only following the logical conclusions, after all." Nudimsu said this and stands up, taking another long look at the Sith's body, followed by turning his head and gazing at Layne's body and nods his heads.

It was hard to tell *what* that stare was about. Confusion? Rage? Probably *not* desire. But then, how could the socially clueless Chiss really know for sure?

"...what?"

And then the other blue alien interjected.

"...uhm. What?"

"..."

"...Oh. Yeah. Uh."

"..."

"She's fine, thanks."

"I'd imagine that Miss Riss would do rather well in a position of leadership if that's something she chooses to find herself in," she mentioned as an aside with a chuckle before a sip of her drink, perhaps hoping the appropriate ears were burning.

Aurilie took off her sunglasses so that he could get a better look at her eyes and she smiled at the prospect. "I'd highly recommend it and it's not too far away, of course. While I've been to the icy wastes of Hoth and the sweltering jungles of Rodia, which are admittedly dangerous, there haven't been many places that compare to the majestic and serene beauty of Mount Joral. Admittedly, there might be a hint of hubris in my words but I do feel I am being sincere. Out of curiosity, what are some notable worlds have you been to?"

[Hacha Tsuko]

"NIce. Did you kick their asses for it yet? I was going to offer to set the limb...or upgrade it, but I am told that unwanted cybernetics is rude. Hey, you gotta give it a hand" Hacha holds up his own prosthetic.

The Duros looks over at Nudisumu. "Not you too. There is no mechanical benefit here to tight clothing. That monokini offers tremendous drag in the water. It should be form fitting, but cover all extremities and torso"

Nudimsu stared back at her, the heat of her face was fluctuating like crazy and her facial expressions was telling him the statement had triggered some sort of reaction from her. He couldn't tell what it was, but it was likely not the one he was hoping from his suggestion.

"Suppose that is not a good idea, then." He said, trying to figure it out where what he said was flawed. It wasn't a unpleasant thought of her in something like that. She was proud of her physical body, after all. Maybe there was more to human exposure of their skin than he realized. Another thing to investigate. Surely, he could find more information this on his holonet later about humans exposing themselves. Although, maybe a second opinion would be necessary.

"Hacha, perfect timing. You seem to know each other, already, excellent." He listened to his opinion and nodded. "I would normally agree with you, but, as I've discovered, such suits are used to create tactical advantages against those who find them appealing. So, while she should not fight in one, she could utilize it against her Sith for so that others would view her more favorably than the Sith. Her frame is more than suited to look good in such a thing, in my opinion. She meets all the standards to be able to put it off. Plus, it would intimidate her, whom she has a history with; it is always important to defeat your for in the setting you find yourself in. Not every battle requires combat, after all "

He nodded thoughtfully, but then turned his head to her.

"Although there is something we are both missing, it seems." He stares at Layne, hoping she could give some clarity to a otherwise confusing situation for him

Slowly, a hand went up to her forehead.

Oh my god. How did *I* get stuck with the *nerds*?

"...yes. I think you're both missing a few things alright."

[Jocasta Teraan]

"Got it," he said.

Moments later a droid approached, it's little treads moving through the sand and presenting her with a drink. Gaul was waylaid speaking with other members of Beach Club.

Seeing the Prince start to mingle with the other beach goers, Jocasta left her sunbathing spot and approached.

"Prince Gaul, I was out of line earlier and I apologize. I understand this beach trip was to be a time of relaxation given recent events.

Sometimes, I find it difficult to hold my tongue. I would like to blame the drinks, but this is only my second." She holds up a half filled glass.

[Hacha Tsuko]

"Excellent." Hacha leans forward. "So is it something in the fabric to skin ratio to reduce drag? Oh, is it flimsy to detach when grabbed by aquatic predators, and this provide an escape route? It can't possibly be to take wind currents, the surface area isn't nearly enough"
