"That is fine. I understand your reasoning, at least. My apologies for thinking you were a Cathar, but my only experience with a cat species was just that. I assumed you a different variation. Fitting for the name of this bar, she was pirate queen on Nar Shaddaa. But please, there is no need to use my full name; you wouldn't be able to say it anyways. Nudimsu will do fine."

He looked at Layne entered and stifled a small smile. Sure enough as Lana said, she was up again.

Staring at the nachos, he very reluctantly grabbed a plate and stared at the Lt. "This looks like someone thru random ingredients and mixed it together without caring how it looks. Do humans really eat this slop?"

[Layne Hoshin]

"You lived through it though... Not sure if that feels better or worse right now though." She replied.

"And you stalled Coup Ulgo long enough for us to show up and end his little cosplay convention."

"He got in a lucky hit," she sighed and followed up with a shrug, "happens some times."

It was true; it really was an (un)lucky hit; fate could've easily gone a different way. In any case, she chose *not* to blame Daz for distracting her right at that very moment with his broadcast. Not like he could've known. And she wasn't that petty. Well, not anymore anyway.

"Still not sure how we let all of this happen though. Nobles being nobles, I guess."

Such a prick, Breela rolls her eyes. "There's a Corellian idiom that goes, 'Don't knock it 'til you try it,' Nudimsu." She adds the emphasis passive aggressively, then bows to poor Jocasta, "Thank you for the food Lieutenant."

Then she hears a familiar voice and looks around to see Layne. "Hail the conquering hero!" She raises a glass to her. "I heard you nearly put down the false king. My respects to you and your exceptional Padawan!"

[Delmi Koor]

"He got in a lucky hit," she sighed and followed up with a shrug, "happens some times."

Nudimsu sighed deeply and stared at the stuff once again. "Look, I'll try it, but food is supposed to appeal to all the senses. From smell to taste to the visual. This just looks like nobody took any care into making it and it makes you lose the overall appeal of the meal."

He sighed, sniffed the food and took a taste, immediately and stayed quiet as he started to eat a little of it for a long moment. "...okay, the flavors works, but I"m still right about the visual."

[Jocasta Teraan]

"You're very welcome, although I have to admit it was quite accidental. I don't usually order enough food to serve a squad."

"You are right about the visuals... for you and for now. Others will look at this food and find its appearance appealing in anticipation of the flavors they know they will enjoy. But now that you have enjoyed it, maybe not the next time or the time after, but after enough times you will eventually become similarly conditioned to enjoy the visual aesthetics as a cue for the taste to come."

She pulls out a field ration brick and holds it out to Nudimsu, "Unless you'd rather eat this. Although be warned, I'm convinced it's no less than 30% insect protein."

[Nudimsu]

"Another human psychological tactic then, much like this festival." He took another bite and sighed. "You have such small bouts of genius wrapped into your people."

Looking at the MRE, he shook his head. "I had my fill of those on Bankor and flying thru the Unknown Regions when I was exiled, thank you. The last thing I would want is to become more insect."

He stared at her with his red eyes. "You are what you eat, right?"

[Omandri Rist]

At nudimsu's upset over the name Omandri simply held up hands in a plactating gesture and nodded to Jocasta in thanks at the food arrived smiling at the banter between those at the table.

When he saw Layne walk in he first started panicking but took a breath, she's fine, she's fine, insane, but fine he put on a rueful smile "Now I'd tell you, you need to get back in bed but I doubt you'd listen to me. I'll just take it as a testament to my skills that you're sitting at a bar less than 6 hours after being run through with a sword."

A whole bunch of people started to talk to her, or raise glasses, or what not. First, she gave a nod toward Breela. 'Nearly' put down was a bit... of well... a downer. But it was the sentiment that counted, right?

Then there was Delmi, replying to Layne's earlier comment; she received one of those 'what are you going to do?' type of shrugs and looks. They still hadn't caught the Cunning Man, had they? Or maybe she was out of the loop.

And then there was Omandri. He was alright, she'd finally decided. "Wouldn't be the first time," she said to his comment about being run through, another nod handed out for good measure.

He stared at her with his red eyes. "You are what you eat, right?"

"That's more of an abstract saying than literal. The only way you would become an insect around here is if you go join a killik hive."

[Nudimsu]

There was a long look at her from his eyes. "I am well aware of this; do you not know what a joke is?"

He stared at her longer, shaking his head in disappoinment. "As if I would literally believe such a foolish saying..."

[Breela Po]

"Now I'd tell you, you need to get back in bed but I doubt you'd listen to me. I'll just take it as a testament to my skills that you're sitting at a bar less than 6 hours after being run through with a sword."

"Wouldn't be the first time," she said to his comment about being run through, another nod handed out for good measure.

"I'm incredibly jealous that you two got to fight him." Breela said in a mock sulky voice leaning on her arm, "His reputation as a warrior is as overinflated as his ego." She waves her hand and continues seriously, "In the end though you both made it out in one piece. You saved the Prince, faced down his division, his honor guard, and the man himself. Not bad for..." she sits up, "four people? You two, your padawan, and Lieutenant Teraan?"

OOC: She doesn't know Jocasta is who she is. Failed to mention your name.

Quickly finishing a mouthful of nachos, Jocasta speaks up, "Sorry, I didn't introduce myself, Lt. Jocasta Teraan at your service."

OOC: knew I forgot something in that post, I got distracted by nachos.

"Ohhh, so I get to be jealous of you too! Pleasure's all mine LT." Breela smiles.

[Jocasta Teraan]

"Don't be jealous, I didn't even get a shot in on him, and I told that one," she gestures towards Layne, "to cut his head off. But he still has his head." she finishes, taking a pull of her beer.

[Layne Hoshin]

"I'm incredibly jealous that you two got to fight him." Breela said in a mock sulky voice leaning on her arm, "His reputation as a warrior is as overinflated as his ego." She waves her hand and continues seriously, "In the end though you both made it out in one piece. You saved the Prince, faced down his division, his honor guard, and the man himself. Not bad for..." she sits up, "four people? You two, your padawan, and Lieutenant Teraan?"

"He was a formidable warrior," she said stoically, "Also there was a giant robot and troopers. But they got talked down."

Mention of head cutting was made.

"We try to avoid doing that sort of thing. I just... he got a lucky hit in. I wish I hadn't given him the opening."

[Nudimsu]

"Probably better to have just done it, given your injuries and what was at stake." Nudimsu said from afar at the other end of part of the bar. Chiss hearing, like their sight, was on a whole other league compared to humans.

"Still, it is good to see Lana was correct in her assessment of your injuries. Do what the Doctor says, though, and take it easy." He didn't get up any closer to her, just continued to sit down and eat his nachos; it was really starting to grow on him.

[Dapper Dog]

"Don't be jealous, I didn't even get a shot in on him, and I told that one," she gestures towards Layne, "to cut his head off. But he still has his head." she finishes, taking a pull of her beer.

“Over inflated?” an older man said, “Bouris Ulgo is many things, but he earned respect for his combat prowess. I have no great love for him, but I will be damned if I hear someone disparage a man that has given everything for Alderaan even if he failed in his final moments, failed us all, but don’t disrespect him as if he is some young punk trying to prove himself.”

He grunted and said, “And we don’t cut off heads frivolously, Lt. as a member of the ADF you should know that, and if you continue with such manners I will have your commander’s name and have you back in remedial training on proper officer decorum.”

“Master Jedi,” he finished with towards Layne with modest respect.

[Nudimsu]

Nudimsu pushed his food down with the help of the whiskey as the man spoke, seeing no need to interrupt the dressing down of Bree and the Lt..

"These two flavor profiles do not mesh well."

Delmi just listened to the talk quietly as she drank her beers. She had no idea who the older man was but she gave the slightest of nods at the things he was saying.
